Just so everyone knows, I'm not a morning person.
Oh, you are awake, BD! I thought you were still in bed.
Not quite. We were up early this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't really have the motivation to do anything until Roses was home again. We're working on our respective responses to the focus thread, btw.
I'm in the process of googling for layouts of loft apartments for the Toreador story and blackout curtains for the apartment.
Blackout curtains, eh? Something up your sleeve?
I want them for selfish and practical reasons alike; they block out sunlight which is lovely but also help to keep in the warmth (or cool air, depending on the season) and they'll be a great advantage during the zombie apocalypse.
I agree, and also require them. Hmm...I may need double the amount for these blasted patio windows. Also, I got Isa's post up in the focus thread.
I'm working on Xander's response now. I'm in favor of these curtains, but we'll need much more to survive the siege.
My idea was to reverse them and prevent light from being seen outside of the apartment that way zombie and human alike would never suspect that we were taking shelter in the apartment. Honestly, I think the set up of our apartment and Gay Writer's is an ideal situation for surviving. The only people who know we're here are across the creek.
That sounds positively smashing. I think you're onto something there, lady.
There aren't a lot of windows and we could easily barricade all three doors. Having the two apartments connected would provide us with considerable leg-room. The one thing we really need to research is generators, batteries and using generators to charge batteries.
We also need to spend some time working on ideas of how to kill time between scavenging for food and killing zombies. |
My post is up in the focus thread. I did my best to catch the typos and errors, but feel free to point out any I missed. It wasn't as long as some of my other posts, but I think it was alright.
Yes, now to decide what William will say. *ponder*
---------- What do you two think of a charity? |
Well, I think that it would be a wonderful thing to do. I think charity is a very noble thing. I say do it!
Bwuh but what kind of charity?
I think it might be fun to help some people out, but I also think you should be careful so as not to get anyone TOO dependent on charity. Well, personally I think it'd be nice to go buy random clothing items and just find random newbies to plop them on.
The problem is that you never know who is going to stick around and who isn't.
Well, you could give clothes away, or item sets. Or just gold. It really depends how much work you want to devote to the running/managing of the charity in question.
I'm not sure. If my past endeavors are any example to swear by then it probably wouldn't be a good idea to have a formal charity.
---------- Meh, it's going to storm here again. I'm tired of the rain and we still haven't got the windshield wipers fixed yet. We really need to. |
I like storms, but only if I can be inside the whole time. I don't like them so much when I'm out in them. Also, your time with me is gonna be cut a bit short since the boyfriend just got home and we have a few errands to run.
Le sigh, I knew we wouldn't have a real chance to get some proper role playing done today. I could feel it when I woke up this morning. *mournful look* Oh well. I'll work on the replies to your posts, you two.
We have returned. For how long I can't say.
I know we're supposed to have dinner with two of Archie's friends. Dunno how that's gonna go or how long it'll be but til then we're here. Until we're there, of course.
I wish it weren't such a hassle to bring Ramona so that we could all be online at the same time. *pout*
Well, I could bring Douglas--the laptop of the boyfriend.
