Super Soldiers (Open and Accepting)
After years of research, scientists finally mastered a way to incorporate enhanced abilities into the human body. Only a select few have been chosen to go under the surgery and get the ability enhancing nanobots into their bodies. Unfortunately, only two enhancements can be put into a single human body or else the body wouldn't be able to handle the amount of nanobots in them and the bodies internal systems would begin to shut down. The main purpose of the enhancements was to increase safety of society's. The few that were chosen would be more than enough to stop crime and protect innocent lives in cities as large as N.Y.C. The selected few super soldiers belong to a group called Empire.
Somewhere down the line of researching and testing, some of the information was leaked and those who got it weren't planning on using it for it's true purpose. A large group called Rogue Angel had gotten a major portion of the research information that was leaked. Since they didn't get all the information though, they had to finish the research themselves, but they couldn't get the nanobots to work properly. They needed to go with mechanical limbs instead. Some subjects had their entire bodies changed so they wouldn't take as much damage from anything, but they were a lot slower. While others just changed a limb or two to increase speed and agility. Its time now, to choose your side and either protect the city or attempt to destroy the city and start a world ruled under your control. ---------- As all the other threads have, here are the rules. Rin had been sitting in a room surrounded by glass since he woke up on this wonderfully rainy day. Since he was the first successful subject to get the nanobots into his body, they did constant testing on him to make sure his body wasn't rejecting the nanobots and causing organ failure. All the doctors surrounding him were wearing surgery scrubs as if he was some sort of infection and even before he came into the glass room, they had him take a chemical shower to make sure he wouldn't spread any infection. Somehow the doctors managed to fit an entire hospitals medical supplies into the small room, so he wouldn't have to go someplace else just to come back. The worst part about the glass room to him though, was the fact that there was no bathroom, just a toilet and a sink. It had a curtain, but if someone walking in front of him, they would see everything.
He was sitting on the edge of a hospital table, holding out his arm so the doctor could take a blood sample. When the doctor put the needle into his arm, Rin turned his head and yelped. Needles weren't his favorite things, the sting of when it goes into the arm and it actually going into his arm sickened him. When the doctor pulled the needled out and bandaged his arm, on instinct, Rin began poking the bandage, until the doctor looked back at him,"Rin, stop that! Leave the bandage alone and pretend like it's not there." Rin had held up his hands when the doctor yelled,"Sorry Brandon, I'm just bored. There is absolutely nothing to do in this place." Rin sighed and took another look around the room,"Can't you guys put some sort of entertainment in here next time?" The doctor, Brandon, wasn't standing that far from Rin. He was at a small machine, toying with it and doing something with the blood sample. Brandon looked back at Rin,"You know we can't do that. Any extra objects in this room might just get in the way if you suddenly have heart failure." Brandon went back to the testing the blood as Rin groaned and laid back in the bed,"Well, wake me up if you need another test. Also, send someone to tell the others that we go on duty tomorrow." Rin yawned and rested his head on the hospital issued pillow, when Brandon spoke,"Alright, I can send someone to do that. Have a nice nap." Rin huffed before closing his eye's. |
Emiko woke up with a nauseating headache. She looked around the room and found mirrors on all four walls. She figured they were one way mirrors, the kind where you look in one side, you can see through it. She ran her fingers through her messy hair, the black mess entangling her fingers. She ripped her hand out and examined the knots in her hair. Emiko thought to herself, Maybe this is why my hair is so messy...
Emiko looked around the unfamiliar room and noticed various medical equipment necessary to her survival, the mirrors of course, a door directly in front of her, a regular clock that said 9:34, and a door directly in front of the surgical bed she was placed on. Turning around, she saw a treadmill, more medical equipment, and a sink. Emiko swung her legs over the bed and began to make her way over to the sink. An open doorway was next to it, but the door that usually took the open space was vacant. She took a few steps and was stopped by a small pain in the middle of her arm. Emiko looked back and saw an. iV attatched to her arm, feeding her some blue looking liquid. "Great..." Groaning, she sat back on the surgical bed and tried to relax, wondering if anyone else was in this place with her. |
An explosion.
People were running out of the building in a frenzy, some of them were bloody, others were just caught up in the pani to stop and figure out what was going on. Police cars were stationed a few feet away from the door, they knew who was causing the havoc, but they were too afraid to approach the culprit. Another explosion, and some of the police officers lay dead from a random bullet wound. The explosions was controlled, and were made by Irie. Her master had told her to destroy the building as a warning, an she complied, but she wanted fewer casualties. Some people were clueless to what was going on, those careless were the ones chosen to die. Using her infared vision, she found the exit of the building. She was shot a couple of times in te chest, but they healed as soon as the bullet hit her skin. Irie reflected the other ones away by using the machete that was attached to her arm. She pressed the demolition button, an the building exploded, and they had to take cover. Irie used this opportunity to escape the scene before she could be pursued. Irie pressed a button in her earpiece,"Mission accomplished, total casualties; 140." A deep voice replied,"Excellent, standby until your next mission." Irie nodded, and put on her glasses, she never really needed them, but it made her look smarter, and her master has commanded her to wear it, since it turned her eyes into a dark blue color. |
Banni woke up and looked around the strange room she was in with her light blue eyes, there was medical equipment everywhere, sighing she sat on the edge of her bed and picked her bunny off the ground, she examined the bunny and saw the stitches on his right ear were coming out, she would have to ask someone to sew it back on because she wasn’t really good at those kind of things.
She got up off her bed and held her bunny close to her, she stood completely still and looked around once more, she hated being in this room there was nothing to do and no one to talk too. She sat back down on the bed and ran her fingers threw her blue hair; there were a few knots but nothing too extreme. She pushed her hair behind her ears and laid back down, she didn’t want to go back to sleep so she just stared at the wall and hummed a little tone. |
Kenshin paused, hearing an explosion across the city. A grin crept eerily over his face and he turned on his heels and began casually strolling toward the sounds of chaos. When he saw the plumes of smoke rise into the sky, he pulled his two slender weapons from their carrier on his back and began twirling them idoly. And for some strange reason, when the wave of panicked civilians began to head toward him, he started humming. The tune had no real, recognizable melody but one thing was certain, it was very happy. Suddenly, as one man rushed past him, he straightened his arm, caught the man around the neck by his sword, like a fish, and yanked backward. Blood sprayed everywhere, including one half of Kenshin's body as the man's throat was torn out and he hunched over, clunching it. He wasn't dead but he was getting there. The act seemed to have no purpose other than for entertainment, and the other civilians rushed past like crazed cattle, eventually trampling one of their own herd. Kenshin looked around for the cause of the disturbance, one of his own brothers or sisters, no doubt. He slid through the crowd and his eyes zoomed and refocused at one place and then another. All the while, he continued to hum. Upon finding noone at the scene he shrugged, planted the back ends of his swords into a police officer's corpse, and bent down to tie his boot-lace, which someone had apparently stepped on and untied in their rush. Then he rose, took back his weapons, sheathed them, and just like that, was jogging back to find the spot he had left his stroll at.

Kaz stood on the roof of a rather tall building, looking over the city. He was wearing dark shades, pants and a jacket to cover his robotic limbs, not wanting anybody to know who he actually was. Although the chances of someone seeing him were slim to none. It wasn't like him though, to actually come outside even though nobody would see him. He was usually in a room surrounded by computer screens and other high tech equipment. When he heard the explosion and saw the smoke, his eye's gazed over the are of havoc and chaos. The screams and sirens could be heard, even from where he was. After a few more minutes of starring into the distance at the scene of destruction, Kaz sucked his teeth and bit his lip, mumbling,"Damn that Irie and her master. Always making my job harder." He sighed and turned on his heel's, heading towards the door that would lead back inside the building he was standing on. When he got to the door, he made a quick one eighty turn and ran back at the edge, jumping off the building and down to the small ones below. He landed on the roof of another building, making a small crater in the roof. From that building, he jumped down to the city streets and fixed his jacket as he walking into the overwhelming crowd and disappeared into their numbers.

Irie was now in a tree, readying her sniper rifle for practice. Her practice targets were the actual people who were running around like idiots, they were the hardest to shoot, but the funnest to watch. As Irie looked for a slower red blob, her master had tuned in.
"Irie! There are other Rogue Angels nearby, try not to get caught...." Irie wasn't paying attention, she had already fired the first bullet, killing a woman who happened to walk by her real target, the chief of policemen. More panic, and soon the police were getting antsy. Irie reloaded, and found another target, and shot, this time it hit the mark, a fat man who was running around in panic while eating. She made a chuckling noise,"Why do people have to be so sensitive?" She mumbled to herself and shot another person. Pushing her glasses up, she saw one of the Rogue Angels that her lord was talking about, so she slowly got ready to leave. She put her glasses in her pocket, but they fell out and cracked on the ground. As Irie went to get them she was spotted and bullets were shot at her. She hid behind the tree and started to shoot back, there were many policemen, but she was smarter, and faster than them. She could see the bullets and dodge them or deflect them because of the heat they gave off. So bullets were useless against her, so she walked forward, and cut off beheaded 5 policemen. She went to glance at the other 5 but they already ran away in fear. |
Kenshin heard bullets spraying a tree not too far off, and looked up. Sure enough, there had to be the other Rogue Angel he had suspected. He watched the battle, though it wasn't much of a battle, and smiled as the remaining police officers ran his way.
"Hello fellas," he said, though not sure they heard him, they were too intent on getting away from Irie. As one ran past he slipped out his sword and caught the man's pant leg, pulling up so that he lost his balance and fell headfirst onto the pavement. He did not get back up. The boy stepped infront of another officer, embedded both his swords in his chest and then proceeded to pull the man in half with them. He screamed. Shin, for he sometimes used this as an easier way to say his name, sideswiped another man just below his ribs and, dragged his victim closer before grabbing the man by his jaw and twisting sharply. That only left two. He shrugged, debating on whether to put in the effort to track them down. |
Sleep was avoidig her subconscious. Emiko tossed and turned on the uncomfortable bed. The springs too short, the mattress crincled and cracked and ripped underneath her weight. She sighed and stared at one of the mirrors where she knew a scientist was observing her every move, every breath, every heart beat. It was like extreme stalking...
The room darkened around her and a red flashing light began to go off. The loud speaker crackled like an ancient school's PA system and a voice Emiko had become all to familiar with filled the room. "Emiko, destruction downtown. Go." She made a slightly disgusted face and looked down at the IV in her arm. "What about this thing, huh? I'm goijg to die if I can't take this out of my arm!" She shouted to the loudspeaker, knowing at least one of the eggheads would hear her. "Then take it out," the woman's voice said and the hang-up noise let Emiko know it had been shut off. "Great...I hate doing this..." Emiko bit her lip and quickly pulled the small needle out of her arm, leaking the blue fluid on the floor. Her teeth bit through her lip and she flexed her arm, her fingers, turning it this way and that. "Right. Time to go." As if on cue, the previously closed door swung open in front of her and a bright light filtered inside. She ran through and ran into a cloth sack being pulled over her head. She sat patiently, wanting to be out of the dark and into the city for the hundredth time. A metallic bracelet was placed around her neck. "Just procedure Emiko, you know how it is." "Yeah yeah yeah, no exiting city limits or collar goes off and I'm hauled back to my room, I know I know." The voice that talked to her grumbled and tugged at the cloth, pulling it off and shovng her into the sunlight. Her gun and knife were strapped backwards around her hip, and her sunglasses were no where to be found. Emiko grumbled something smart-alecy and fixed her belt, heading towards the destruction, looking for a fight. She landed on a high building and noticed the guy with the swords. She took a deep breath and jumped down, landing right in front him with her fists clenched. "Hey. You. I don't think you belong here. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." |
Subject Eta. She was attached to what seemed to be thousands of tubes and wires. Each doing something for or against her body. Most of the wires worked on her brain. Compressing it into a more thinkable source. She had problems working with the intense stress on her mind at times. Though had been put under for almost two weeks. She was inside of a tank. One that fed and quenched her thirst. But also it healed anything and everything that happened to her body. A light started to flash in the room. It was the first thing Eta's small eyes dashed to as they opened. The tank started to drain slowly as a Scientist wearing a breathing mask and hazard suit pulled wires from her body. It did not hurt at all, but healed right away from still being inside of the water. The scientist caught her as she fell forward. A stretcher was brought over and Eta was washed off, cleaned, and dry within a few minutes.
The others were out, but Eta was back at the main base (?). Getting clothed and being run threw tests like an animal to some sorts. Once she was cleaned, she was asked many questioned. Testing her reaction time, as well as her memory. Even though Eta could not seemed to remember anything from before. They seemed quiet revealed with that result. While everyone else was out destroying the city, Eta was entering the training room. The scientists wanted to test her. See if Eta needed more tests. The training room was in the shape of a large dome. One of which had panels everywhere. A panel would open, and something would attack her. Carefully Eta stepped into the center of the room. One gun opened up, firing towards her. Eta watched the bullets, and they stopped about a foot away from her completely. A few more guns started to fire, each bullet was stopped. It kept going until you could even barely see Subject Eta within the mass of metal. Though very suddenly the same bullets shot out, striking and breaking each gun, even shooting threw the glass and going right threw the skull of the programer. Eta was still in the same position she started in. Leaving the scientists in complete awe. |
(Yes, Rin does wear the clothes in the picture.)
Rin was nudged awake by the doctor from before, Brandon. He reached over and slapped Brandon's hand off of his shoulder, then readjusted his body and tried to go back to sleep. Brandon sighed and pulled out an air-horn, took a step back, scrunched up his face and pressed down on the top of the horn. The ear shattering noise that erupted from the horn woke Rin right up and sent him off the side of the bed, landing on his back and tangled in the sheets that were on the bed,"Good grief. Why the hell did you have to do that?" Rin started to rub his ear, looking at his hand as if he was expecting to see blood. He finally stood back up only to be met with a pile of clothes flying at him. He managed to catch them as Brandon spoke,"Testings finished, your free to go do what the government made you for now. You'll get your weapons upon leaving the building. Now get dressed." Rin looked at the clothes, then back at Brandon,"Do you mind? I think a little privacy is in order." Brandon shook his head and left the glass box as Rin took off the hospital garment's and put on his clothes,"Hey! Where's my hat?" No response,'You guys suck.' When he finished getting dressed, he left the box, then the building. When he finally got outside, he was in a rather small parking lot, behind a bunch of buildings. There was a small car with his weapon belt, weapons already in their holsters, sitting on the top of it. His hat was resting on the driver seat inside. He smiled and put on the weapon belt, got into the car, put on the hat, and drove off. It took him about ten minutes to actually see the smoke in the sky. He mumbled under his breath,"What is going on over there?" Then started to drive towards the smoke. Kaz was on his phone as he continued to walk along with the giant crowd,"Alright. Thank you for the update. I'll be there soon. Tell Eta I may need her help stopping some of our rather, rowdy friends." He hung up the phone and started towards their little base of operations, which wasn't that little. Kaz believed in hiding in plane sight, but some things needed to actually be hidden. Their headquarters was a bunch of warehouses linked together by tunnels. Since police can't search them without warrants. He also makes sure that everyone takes the utmost care so they aren't followed when coming to the headquarters so they can't be linked to one another. Kaz's personal space wasn't among the warehouses though, it was hidden, even from the member's of Rogue Angel. It would take Kaz about thirty minutes to get to the warehouses, were he to stay hidden and not start leaping from building to building. |
Irie sat on the ground, there was no reason for her to move to she just sat there. She heard the hum of a car and lookef up, a car was driving through the smoke and was driving toward the madness. Irie heard her communicator buzz and her boss spoke,"The enemies are nearby, be careful!"
Irie looked down, trying to look like a ball, though that would only make her look like a lost child. She sat like that, waiting for the car to drive by. |
"Oh! Is that so-" Shin started cheerfully but then heard the car coming. His eyes got wide and he tucked his swords away ran up close to this girl, in a moment of unprecedented gaul, and matched everything about her posture, even her fists. "Hi," he said, with a chuckle, only inches from her face. He was hiding, like a moth against a tree, a tree that was probably going to get pretty pissed here in a second. Almost before the car was completely gone, he jumped away, still grinning like an idiot. His eyes darted around to her weapons and he nodded in approval. "As I was saying," he started again. "Is that so? Well, I'm going to have to ask you to get out of my way before I split you open like a banana." He reached behind him almost casually and took hold of his swords. And then he whipped them out infront of him with such speed that the leftover blood that had still clung to them sprayed across the pavement infront of him in two half-circles. Taking down a Super Soldier would be a huge victory for him. He'd be noticed more for his skill around the others than just his slightly off humor.
|
She leaned back slightly and kept an impassive face as he was mere inches from her. Emiko narrowed her eyes as he jumped back and displayed his weapons. Her eyes rolled upwards and back down in her sockets as the show-offy blood splattered on the asphalt in front of her shoes, not touching her, but staining the ground nontheless.
"You know...I just don't understand you Rouge Angels...But whatever, I'm still going to have to stop you." As she spoke, Emiko checked her right wrist to make sure the small indestructable chain was attatched to her wrist. She reached over on her left hip and slid the small revolver sized gun out of it's place in her belt loop. She cocked the gun and switched it to her left arm, relaxig it and lettig the advanced piece of metal hang by her hip. "Well then...Shall we?" Emiko jumped up and forward and a slight angle rocketing herself towards the boy she did not know, her knees tucked up into her chest. Her right hand gripped the 7 inch blade and she slashed at him from her left to the right at his mid-section, aiming for a deep cut into his skin. Whether it hit or not, Emiko would try to extend her feet to rest on his hips and quickly extended her legs arhing her back to do a small backflipp away from him. She began to fall parallel with the ground and tucked her legs under again, forcing her body up towards him, as he would be about ten feet away by now. She extended her left arm andntook careful aim for his center, and fired her gun. The energy shot at a blinding speed much faster than a humans bullet, towards his stomach. If the energy bullet hit its target, the bullet would explode on impact and cause him serious burns as well as some his skin coming off. |
Rin continued to drive as the destroyed building came into view. He had slowed down considerable from the time he left the research lab to the time he got here. He was so focused on the building that he didn't notice Emiko off to the side. Although, he began to get a little more than worried when he saw corpses scattered across the streets. None of them were burned, they seemed to be cut and shot. When he heard a gunshot from behind, Rin slammed on the breaks and got out of the car, making sure his hat was on properly,'Alright, so first someone blows up a building and now another person is firing off a gun. Not to mention these people weren't killed by the explosion.' He walked over to the closest body, taking a closer look at it, confirming what he thought had happened to them. Rin was still completely oblivious to the fact that Emiko and her opponent were practically right behind him.
|
Irie followed the car, and when it suddenly stopped, she froze, thinking the man in the car saw her. Instead, she saw him move toward something which she assumed was one of the people she killed. Cautiously, Irie mad her way toward the unknown man, ignoring the sudden fight behind them. Her innocent-like voice spoke out,"Exuse me? Why are you here?" She asked, hiding her gun behind a dead body, or rubble, she couldn't tell. He was probably the enemy, but Irie had to make sure.
|
Rin jumped at the sound of somebodies voice. He hadn't expected anyone to stay around here after what seemed to happen. He stood up and brushed off his pants, looking back at the little girl,"Shouldn't you be getting back to your parents? Are they weren't about you after what just happened here?" He took off his hat and ran a hand through his white hair before putting the hat back on. As far as he knew though, this girl was a normal child who got separated from her parents.

Subject Eta had been escorted back to a type lab where she was told to sit. They hooked something up to each of the horn type object perturbing out of her head as they started to take data. Eta of coarse was asleep. Sitting completely straight on the chair. The only thing that gave away her sleeping, or even trace was her closed eyes. They were analyzing her to every extent. Though suddenly they received a call. The head scientist nodded at the order. Even though Eta had been ready for weeks, he was still very nervous. The other member only knew of her, but from all the failures did not know she was real. They carefully got her ready. Giving her weapons, and waking her up. Also turning on the earpiece in her ear. The ear piece was more of a walky talky. Allowing the scientist and leader to both speak with her.
Subject Eta was placed into the back of a van and escorted to the site. Dropped off just a few blocks away from the action. Sliding a hand threw her long chocolate colored hair and walked. Seeing the groups and right away telling friend from foe. Even though she had never met these people. She walked in slowly. Like a warrior to battle. Her eyes were down, but at the same time listening for any and all movements towards her. |
"Parents? They're sleeping in the sky..." Irie said, putting her hands behind her back, her voice imitating a sad tone. She mimicked a lonely girl, and she shrugged,"Not like they loved me anyway, they left me here..."
