Name: Jared Alford
Age: 15
Appearance: [Jared]
Attitude: Snarky, sardonic, and sarcastic, Jared considers himself to have quite the attitude when he feels like it. However, this side of him tends to only show up when he is faced with either a very asinine or jerk of a person. Usually, he is a kind, somewhat introverted guy with a not so hidden geeky side.
Parent in the relationship: Mother
Status School wise: He tends to hang out with a geeky circle of friends (that is, when he's not alone) and so, is identified as such.
Taken or Single: It's complicated
When Jared was around ten his father went missing in action (note that his father was a marine). Because of that, Jared and his mother were left alone and the role of supporter was passed onto the mother. Having had to sacrifice quite a bit, he knows both the value of a dollar and that or hard work.

As Ashlynn and her father walked inside the new house, already settled in, Ashlynn told her dad, "Jason is coming to see the new place."
"Honey, I still can't believe you are seeing a senior. Can't you find someone... Younger?" He dad pleaded.
"Jason is a football player, Dad. He has a car, he is beyond gorgeous, and he likes me." She stated, "So, No."
Her father groaned and went on, She squeezed with victory, And ran upstairs into her new room. Light purple walls, Chair, computer, and bed spread. Inside and outside, her door was painted this light shade of purple, Which her father only let her do, not anyone else.
She found something sexy enough, Tight pants, with holes all the way up the legs, A tight shirt, With 'Aéropostale' written up the side, And some nice new looking tennis shoes. She stalked to the bathroom she had to share with her new step brother. She demanded it be kept clean. She added makeup, and straightened her hair.
Ashlynn walked back down the stairs and sat on the couch, waiting on the other end of the couch, as he new brother. Well, Soon to be.

"Damn that was a lot of moving," Jared said with a sigh as he sat down on the box of comic books that he had finally moved over to the front of his bookshelf.

Now he could have easily just spread out moving his things across the week that they had to settle in, but of course he felt like procrastinating. Hardworking as he was, he still was human and a human teenager at that. Taking out one of the thicker graphic novels from the box, he started to thumb through it, his lips curling into a smile. Ah the merc with the mouth, he was always a favorite.

"Honey, can you come over?" Quite obviously, it was his mother.

"Yeah mom?" Jared walked towards the direction of his mother's voice, finding her on the bed of the master bedroom.

"So," she started, "how do you like the new place?"

"Mm, it's certainly bigger than the old one," he said as he looked around.

"I'm glad you like it," his mother replied with a chime-like laugh.

"Eh well you know me," Jared said with a shrug. He started to head for the door before turning back at the last moment, "if you don't need anything I'll be going."

With a nod, he headed downstairs and sat on the couch, his head propped up by his chin as he read further into his comic. He didn't know how much time had passed, but when he chose to look up his soon to be stepsister was on the opposite side of the couch. When did she get there?

thedarkraven 07-26-2010 06:29 PM

The loud verm of a car was heard through-out the house, Ashlynn hopped and shouted, "JASON IS HERE!!" When Jason came in she was a calm, sweet girl.

"Damn Baby, I love that look." Jason said kissing her forehead.

She giggled and tip toed up to his lips, with his arms around her she kissed him. Smiling she took his hand, and lead him over to the couch, where the monster screen was located. He smiled and took the remote.

"Football's on babe." He told Ashlynn.

"Eh. When is football not. You can watch it?" She said laying inside is arms.

Jason looked over at Jared and smiled widely, "She doesn't like football," he bragged to him.

The loud announcers of the football game echoed through the big empty house. Jason cheering for his favorite team.

Cows Go Moo 07-26-2010 07:05 PM

"JASON IS HERE!"

"Louder, I don't think the neighbors heard you," Jared muttered as he watched Ashlynn's boyfriend kiss her on the forehead. Unlike Ashlynn's father, Jared didn't have any particular problem with her boyfriend...or hell any feelings really. He had to know a guy before he could dislike them.

He glanced over at the large TV screen as it flickered to life, the roars of football fans and players alike screaming for their team of choice, Jason included.

A bunch of guys piling on top of each other and rolling around for a ball? Who can blame her for not liking the sport? "Eh well to each is their own," Jared said as he leaned back into the couch, "I'm not that big of a sports fan myself." But it's not like there's anything else to watch.

He turned over to Ashlynn as if to give her a look that said "you do this all the time?".

thedarkraven 07-26-2010 09:17 PM

"Ew, Gross. I hate that team, They think they can do anything." Ashlynn stated, Smiling at Jason.

"Dude! They can do anything!!" Jason shouted.

"I am not a dude, Or do I have to show you again?" Ashlynn laughed.

"Oh, Yeah, Show me again." He kissed her and she rubbed his chest. He seemed to think it was easy to get to do anything.

The game went off and Ashlynn sighed with relief. She took Jason's hand and led him up to her room, In the hall way he said, "Let me guess? The purple door for Daddy's little princess?" He smirked.

"Yes, I like it too." Ashlynn walked in and closed the door behind them, She was inside his arms once more, and she leaned in for a kiss on the lips, Jason laid her down on the bed, and got on top of her, Kissing her roughly.

Tom, Ashlynn's father, Sent Jared a text. 'Don't let them be alone.'

Cows Go Moo 07-26-2010 10:51 PM

Jared couldn't stifle a chuckle at Ashlynn's quip and Jason's following shout as he decided to go back to reading his book...well he decided to, but it didn't happen. Why? Because Ashylnn and her boyfriend were being horny teenagers. What? Do they have no concept of getting a room?

Well maybe they did considering they had decided to leave him alone. With a relieved sigh, he stuck his head back into his comic book. Ah how he missed the yellow text boxes...

Ring. Ring.

"Goddamit!" Checking his phone he found that it was his soon to be stepfather who didn't want his daughter to be left alone. What? Does he have no concept of privacy? But did he want to get involved in all this? The lazy side of him said to leave the two teens alone, but his conscience said otherwise. "New dad you owe me for this."

With that, he walked up to the hallway and looked around the various selections of doors. There was his, the bathroom's, ah! It was a purple door, closed obviously with the sound of the two...and bed squeaking. He hesitated for a moment, not sure how to go about interrupting them before pulling his hand back and sighing. Come on Jared, you can do this! You were able to interrupt your parents when you were five. You can still do it now. Balling his hand into a fist he knocked on the door. "Aye guys, you in there?"

thedarkraven 07-26-2010 11:34 PM

Ashlynn sighed and pushed Jason off of her, He laid in her bed and put his hands behind his head, starring at the ceiling.

She swung the door open and saw Jared plainly standing there, nothing to make him look tough, just bluntly standing there, She held back a laugh not being able to keep the mocking smile away, "Yes?" She said nicely, holding the knob of the door she looked at him.

Behind her Jason took out his phone, and read a text. He smiled, but Ashlynn couldn't see him, Jared could. After putting away his phone, he got hers off of the night stand beside her bed, And started to go through her texts, She didn't care whenever he did this.

She stood there starring into Jared's eyes. Impatient. She was sighing loudly by now, Waiting on him to speak.

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 12:56 AM

Oh crap she wanted to know why he was there. In hindsight I should have thought this through before knocking. But he was here now, ruining everyone's mood, like some sort of stick in the mud. Ugh crap, what do I say? What do I say?

And somehow, the words started to spill out of his mouth.

"That's a very good question." She didn't ask a question, well not a real question. "And the reason that I'm here is because I was wondering where..your..father...was." His words sounded somewhat stilted, as though he were thinking of them on the fly, which he was.

"Er, so tell me," he said, trying to change the subject, "do you guys have any plans today? I was planning to drive to the DMV to get my permit and wondered if you already got yours this year." Hopefully that sounded less...awkward.

thedarkraven 07-27-2010 01:10 AM

"I'll go find him and.. Yes, I do have mine." She grabbed her phone from Jason's hands and kissed him, "You can go through it later, cookie. I have to go find my dad." She laughed. Ashlynn walked out the door and down the long hall way.

Jason, Waiting until she was surely gone to ask, Asked, "So, How many do you have?" He laughed, Checking is phone again to see if the other mystery messenger had replied. They had and he laughed, and replied to them.

Looking back up at Jared he asked again. "How many girls you got, man? I got a couple, Ashlynn probably number two."

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 01:43 AM

"Thanks," Jared said, nodding at her. Ah somewhere he was sure that a higher being was smiling upon him today.

"How many? Jared repeated raising an eyebrow, "how many what?"

Clearly he wasn't up to date on the latest lingo or Jason's thought processes. And honestly, he was pretty glad considering it meant having girls. Since when were girls score cards? He was no feminist, but found it in pretty bad taste. "Eh it's kind of complicated. I've got a few girls infatuated with me, but I don't like any of 'em back." His tone was nonchalant, though he was a tad uncomfortable discussing his love life...or lack of one.

"But a couple?" Jared asked with a raised brow, "I never figured that Ashlynn would be fine with something like that."

thedarkraven 07-27-2010 01:59 AM

"Nah man, Ashlynn doesn't know. She can't have any other guys though. She'd pay for that move." He laughed leaning back down on her bed.

Ashlynn found her father and came back in to her room, "He's in the master with your mom you twit." Ashlynn laid softly back into Jason's arms. She kissed him gently on the cheek.

"I was just telling Jared there how much I love you and are lucky to have you." Jason smiled at her, It was a believable smile too.
"Awwh!! I am so lucky to have a guy like you!! Wouldn't you agree?" She said, Turning over to look at Jared, Making the 'Get out face.'

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 02:20 AM

Glad to see how much you love double standards, Jared thought dryly.

"Oh I see." It was the vanilla of stock responses, but he supposed that it was better than lecturing (and possibly) punching the guy out.

He watched as Ashlynn entered the room again, her confirming her father's location. "Gross," he murmured in reply, "especially if they're doing what you guys were earlier." That last part he tried to keep under his breath as he watched his step sister kiss her boyfriend.

It was sad that she remained in such blissful ignorance, yet he wasn't sure whether or not to break the news. True, she was going to find out eventually, but he knew that somehow he would be blamed. Plus he had no proof other than Jason's words.

"Yes you are," Jared agreed, pretending to be oblivious to her look, "I hope to find someone as devoted and faithful as him someday."

thedarkraven 07-27-2010 02:30 AM

"Sorry, I can't share, Jason's all mine. Hey, Did you tell that Casey girl you were taken?" she looked serious.

"Yeah, Babe, She got the message that I was with you." He smiled, and kissed her passionately again, pulling her on top of him, and holding her hips. He stopped and looked rudely in Jared's direction. Maybe this would get him to leave.

Jason's phone rang loudly, He answered. "Hello? ... Yeah ... I am with Ashlynn ... Okay, Be there in a few" He hung up, "That's the coach. Football practice." He laid her back down and kissed her again.

"But today is Sunday. You never have practice on Sundays." Ashlynn complained.

"Gotta do what the coach says, babe." He got up and grabbed his keys. Walking past Jared he smiled widely. His foot steps were loud down the newly polished stairs, and his care was brought to life, and it sped away. She watched out the window as his car turned the corner.

She turned around, and was going to leave, but saw Jared still standing bluntly in the doorway, "Why are you still there?"

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 02:43 AM

"Yeah, Babe, She got the message that I was with you."

Liar. Jared had to obscure his vision once Ashlynn was pulled on top of her less than faithful boyfriend and seriously considered leaving the two then and there to do the nasty. It wasn't like her father was doing him any favors, well he supposed that shelling out two hundred dollars was something, but still! Lucky for him, the two were interrupted once more. Only this time it was by football practice.

He gave Jason a noncommittal nod as opposed to shooting back a smile. It wasn't all that definitive of a goodbye, but that sort bland ambiguity was what Jared was going for. "Well he seems ni-"

"Why are you still there?"

Ah another question he should have been prepared to answer before coming in let alone staying. And again, it was another question that induced a bunch of word vomit.

"Well you said you already got your permit I...figured you could give me some pointers," he said. Good I'm staying calm. Now I just have to think of an excuse to leave. "But since you don't seem to be in the best mood I think I'll leave." Maybe that higher being might smile down on me a second time.

thedarkraven 07-27-2010 02:52 AM

Ashlynn rolled her eyes, and walked passed him, "I am going to the kitchen, Want anything? Also, I can help you... Maybe. Get Daddy to give you like.... five hundred dollars and they should let you pass." She smiled, and walked out into the hall way.

Walking down the stairs she heard Jason's phone ring. She laughed at the though of him being in such a hurry he'd leave his phone. She let it ring, and went on with her life. She went to fridge and got some orange juice out, "Gr-oss!!" She dropped it in the trash and got out something healthier and better tasting. She sat back down on the couch with a V-water and flipped through the channels.

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 03:06 AM

Jared laughed. "That'd be nice," he said, "I can't guarantee I'll spend it on bribing the DMV though."

He took out his phone and texted Tom with a bit of a sardonic smirk.

"Mission accomplished, but you shouldn't need me to keep your daughter in check."

Putting his phone away, he heard another one ring and started to walk towards the noise, eyebrows knitting. Whose phone was that? It didn't sound like any familiar ring tone he had heard of so either someone changed theirs or it was Jason's phone.

Ring! Ring!

"Maybe the gods are smiling upon me." Jared picked up the phone and glanced at the mysterious number. It was a girl's number obviously , but who exactly was that girl? He was unfamiliar with anyone by that name, but perhaps he was just being forgetful. With a shrug, he answered the phone with a hesitant "hello".

((I wasn't sure what name you were going to go with so I left it vague  ))

thedarkraven 07-27-2010 03:14 AM

"Hey! Were are you? You should have been here. Are you still with that slu- Is this Jason?" The girl name Casey answered on the other end.

Downstairs, Ashlynn took out her phone and looked at it, She had a text from one of Jason's friends.

"Hey girl, Jason still with you?" It said.
"He just left for practice, He should be there soon." She replied.
Her phone viberated and she looked at the message, taking a drink.
"Right, Practice." It said, She didn't reply, She walked up stairs and back into her room.

"What are you still doing in here?" She asked, Smiling at her brother.

((Sorry, I am going to move us on to the next day if nothing special happens, The next day will be Monday and that means back to school.))

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 03:20 AM

I really need to start preparing what I say before I do these things. But this time he was a tad more composed about what he said. Just a tad.

"Er I'm his friend. I thought he was at practice," Jared answered nonchalantly. And that's Ashlynn you're calling a slut...slut. "But anyway, I'll tell him that you called."

He turned around at the sound of his step sister's voice and put a hand over Jason's phone. "A "friend" of Jason's called. I was just picking up for him."

((Feel free to move it along. I'd like to see how Jason handles all his girls at school lol))

thedarkraven 07-27-2010 04:15 AM

Ashlynn woke up early enough to take a shower, do her hair make up, and to wake Jared up, "Hey, Get up. We are going to miss the damn bus."
She thought he would get up earlier than this. She shook him and his bed, he must be a deep sleeper. She sighed and sat on his bed.
"Jareddddd..... Wake uppppp." She was in his face, giggling.

After he woke up, she went down stairs and Sat at the bar. "They are gone, To work." She yelled out into the big house.
She read the back of her Specail K cerail box. "Wow... Way to many calories." She said as her new brother walked inside the kitchen. "BED HEAD! AH!!" She was pretending to be scared. "I can't wait to see Jason. Oh yeah. I have to take him his phone." She smiled blissfully. She leapt up the stairs and grabbed his phone.

Her outfit was surprisingly un-fashioning. She didn't feel like washing her clothes. Her dad always hired someone else to do it. He was a rich man. She waited on JAred to get ready for school.

----------

((This is going to sound really rude, and possibly impatient, But what takes you so long to reply?))

Cows Go Moo 07-27-2010 04:46 AM

"Ngh..Go away, you aren't my mother!" Jared said as he tried to push Ashlynn away. He wasn't a morning person and didn't pretend to be. Of course, she seemed to be which wasn't good news to him. He tried to roll over, but found himself stopped by Ashlynn's body. Damn she wasn't going to leave was she? With a sigh, he sat up and nodded, shooing her out of the room. He figured that he had a good five minutes of sleep before he actually had to start getting ready so there was no rush in rolling out of bed.

And soon enough, Jared came out dressed in a hoodie and a pair of jeans with his backpack slung over his shoulder. "Hey my hair isn't that bad," he said with a laugh, "some people happen to like my hair like this." He sat down on the chair next to hers and grabbed the Special K box, frowning at the paltry breakfast. If only school started an hour later...maybe he could whip up some pancakes.

((I'm multitasking right now so yeah .___. ))
