It's ok, and I don't think you have asked before. I am a caregiver. I take care of a 23 year old girl who has multiple disorders, including Autism and Mental Retardation.... she can't walk, talk, feed herself.. she really can't do much... but she is the sweetest thing =)

Fey- Thanks. And sometimes I feel bad for her, because it is so sad she never got to experience certain things in life. But at the same time, I know she is very loved and taken care of very well (by me, her family and doctors). But also because she defeat the odds really, her doctors said she wouldn't make it past 16/17 and here she is 23 =)

and Oh Mi Gosh I love the bookstore I go at least once a week. =)

Ash, I kind of know what that's like. My brother is autistic and developmentally delayed. he's not so disabled that he can't walk or talk or feed himself, but he does have poor fine motor skills and he tends to talk in circles and has to say what he's saying, even if you already get the point. i vanished for a bit to get food... i found a banana. :]
