The sucky thing is that when I first checked the due date, it was September 10. Then, the other day, I checked again and it was suddenly August 19. Er... major stressout time, especially as I'm applying for a study abroad thing, and I need to get letters from a host country affiliate.

Yes, that would! Though, often most teachers understand when small mistakes like that are made, especially if the research project is still a good one and the person makes sense. Like, if you're supposed to write about an English author, and you wind up writing about C.S. Lewis or something.

Well, I did work for Target for 5 1/2 years, so I know how evil retail can be, xD; And delivering pizzas isn't hard work at all compared to that. The only thing I have to be worried about is getting robbed/shot on a delivery, ~_~;

@Orina: Extensions are tricky; I know I usually take into account how early you ask for one, and whether the reason makes any sense (i.e., my sister is in the hospital; our dorm was flooded by a backfiring toilet...)

@zaza: I never thought of delivering pizza as risky, but I suppose that's true. I always thought the biggest risk was someone answering the door naked. :XD

After my time on 4chan, that wouldn't phase me in the slightest bit. The only thing that freaks me out is knives. Honestly, a knife to the face freaks me out more than a gun to the face, and I have no idea why.

@Orina: 750 words -- piffles. :D *is a graduate student who's had to turn out an eight-page paper on a new topic EVERY WEEK* 750 words is, what, 3-5 pages? That shouldn't be too bad with a week and a half. What's the general topic? What schooling level?

@zaza: My best friend was held at knifepoint once, in broad daylight in Baltimore, by a massive guy on a bicycle who wanted what he thought was her purse (it was her lunch bag) and then her backpack (which had her med school notes in it). She stood her ground and refused to give him the backpack, and he backed down after a little while. She was pretty upset about it, understandably. I've never had a knife or a gun to my face, so I don't know how I'd respond.

I went and read some of the successful past ones, and they were rahhther skeery. Plus, I had to write two complicated emails in Japanese, which was 難しかった (muzukashikatta, difficult-past-tense).

Foxy... I won't be updating the SSHG tonight, I think. I'll definitely check in tomorrow night, but I'll probably be on/off for the next few days as I respond to my initial OMGWTFBBQ about this fellowship. Sowwy. :(
