Tindwyl
Tindwyl waves a hand impatiently. Do the floorboards. Her habit is picking options at random with little concern for rationality. Sure, put 'em back, I doubt it matters much but at least we won't trip over them.

(( Nolori, I'm letting you dictate what Eleanor Sees during the scrying because I'm not sure what you have in mind. Whatever Eleanor Sees will also show up in the mirror and should be able to be seen by the others to some degree depending on their connection to magical forces or psychic abilities.))

Eleanor

Sitting cross-legged on the floor of the inn Eleanor removes the shroud of the little hand mirror and turns it so that she can see her reflection in it. Gather around. The witch closes her eyes and begins chanting an incantation; the face of the mirror goes black and for a moment there's nothing but silence in the room. A shining light begins to appear in the face of the mirror as Eleanor concentrates on her target - seeing beneath the floorboards where the woman had been crying.

[[Thank you, Lore! I was hoping I could do this!]]

The Inn - Scry

At first, the crying woman is not there. Instead, there is an older woman with heavy skirts that have been soiled with mud and ripped quite cruelly. She is pacing around the room with a key in her hand. Finally, she turns to the front door and moves towards it with determination in her face. She throws open the door and tosses the key out into the fog. She smiles for a moment before looking down at her hand.
The key is still firmly gripped in her fingers.
The woman cannot seem to make her hand do what she asks of it. No matter how hard she tries to throw the key, her fingers only tighten around it. Eventually, her hand is gripping so tightly that the metal key is biting into her flesh and drawing blood. The woman does not panic at this - it does not seem to be the first odd thing she has encountered.
Instead, the woman gathers up her skirt and walks into the fog with the key.

Silently, the key lands on the floor in front of the door. The woman does not.

The image changes. It seems that the time Eleanor has looked for does not exactly exist. It is many places and many times all converging together in the crossroads of memory. Eventually, it settles on a single moment.

A young woman with brown hair is on the floor before the front door. Her fingers are splintered and bleeding from tearing at the floor boards. She's placing a box in the hole she has created. That done, she looks up at the fog coming through the door with tears streaming down her face. The fog is not loose and slow as it is in Eleanor's time. To the young woman, the fog is whipping about like a wild animal, reaching under the door to capture its prey. The woman turns back to the cellar, with a paper in her hand. She looks down at it and three lines make themselves apparent:

"Amy tried to run out with it seven days ago, but she…"
"I’ve been here for a whole year."
"It’ll find you two."

The woman looks back up at the cellar and her mouth opens up into an anguished scream, but no sound comes from her mouth. Whether this is the fault of the mirror or whether the woman is actually incapable of making sound is difficult to discern. At some silent sound, the woman's attention snaps to something behind her. Her eyes widen in terror.

The image in the mirror fades.

(( I have experience with passing out - I can finish a conversation before I go under so I believe the trick of shrouding the mirror can be done. ))

Eleanor

Pale and shaking with sweat on her forehead, Eleanor begins to crumple from the exhaustion of two Seeings in one sitting but hurriedly, and carefully, she makes sure that the mirror is shrouded and set down carefully before she completely passes out. That trick required months of training her body to respond correctly but the risk of breaking the mirror was more than worth accounting for. Clearly Eleanor had not been prepared for two Seeings instead of the one she expected.

Mika
Mika seems to work up the risk to watch the Scry. He doesn't like mirrors. But instead of curling up in a ball in the corner as he'd half-expected, Caroline is silent, and he watches with only a severe frown. However, when the image fades, and Eleanor's eyelids start to flutter, he groans and laboriously gets to his feet. Christ. Could somebody get her an ice pack? As he starts to pull over a chair, however, Eleanor is already out. Without much effort, Mika lifts her feet onto the chair’s seat, shoving it forward to support her shins, and then looks back at the others.

What the hell was that?

Tindwyl
Never seen anybody do that after a spell, but I've never seen anybody scry with a mirror either. It's probably different. Not just the inn's fault I mean. She doesn't sound entirely convinced.

Anika
Anika looks at the mirror curiously. Without Maloch, she has little to no magical ability and can only see that the mirror has fogged up and generally not reflecting. When Eleanor falls, she squeaks and runs off to find something to help.

Agatha
What's happened?

----------

Anika
Eleanor fainted. I guess she saw something. Do we have anything that could help her?
----------

Agatha
I'd check the kitchen. I'm sure there are some wet rags. Did anyone see anything besides Eleanor? Did you find the numbers?
