Past Lives and Karma
Do you believe in past lives and karma? Do you believe that negativity can be carried over from your past lives to your present life and that karma gives you shit for bad things you've said and/or done in your past lives? |
I believe in past lives, but not karma. I like to think that reincarnation is just part of the natural order of things. Just a cycle of souls, kind of like how the water cycle just exists, with no set plan or purpose putting it in motion. I don't really believe in higher powers. Kind of odd, I know. It's hard to explain. One friend of mine called me an existential dualist. I believe in things like souls, spirits, auras, and the like, but not in any higher power or fate. I just see things like souls as a part of nature. They just exist, with no more grand meaning or purpose behind it than how a tree just happens to exist or a rock just happens to exist. They're just harder to notice than the rock or the tree. I suck at explaining things. Basically, yes, I believe in past lives. Not in karma, though. Sorry for my tl;dr. D: |
I believe in past lives and karma, but I think as far as a carry over, it might influence where you start but I don't think karma from a past life is going to bite me in the ass tomorrow. . . Might have prevented me from being born either rich or poor. After the reset thought, I think that's all current points. I mean if it wasn't most people would probably keep on a downward spiral kinda like an endless debt.

I believe in reincarnation and that your past life does effect where you are born but not that karma carries over per say.

I believe in reincarnation and past lives as well. It just seems...right to me. I mean, it's hard for me to believe that when we die, we just...die.
I like to believe that when this life ends, a new one begins. Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but it just makes sense to me. |
