Update September 5, 2010: My version is only ONE way to beat the game. I'll probably start putting other Level-22 screencaps in here as I figure out less memory-hogging ways to finish.



And We're Off!

By popular (*coughSquidcough*) request, I present to you the guide for HOW TO COMPLETE ALL THE LEVELS IN FANGIRLS.

It'll take about 25 minutes, but much of that time you can be occupied on other tabs and stuff.

If your computer freezes, make sure you've got the game quality set to low; right-click (or control-click) on the game area and select "Quality-->Low" from the menu which pops up.

So...

Level One
is easy. Just place your five 200g towers evenly across the road. My entire method is based on covering as much road as possible, so notice how large a circle you have when placing a tower.

Level Two
Finish covering the road. You shouldn't have to buy anything during this level.

Level Three
Start doubling up your corners. Again, no need to buy during this level.

Level Four
You'll have no extra gold from the last level, but don't worry. You don't really need to buy anything during this level. Leave the layout as it is.

Level Five
This is the first level where you should stop and BUY mid-game. As soon as you have an extra 200 gold, add a tower next to one of your current ones, as we did in level three.

Level Six
You might have no extra gold from buying during level five; don't worry. This level plays itself. I didn't even bother to take a screencap.

Level Seven
Expand from the "semi-corners" we've been in to the real corners.

Level Eight
Finish filling up that pattern that we've got going, the kind of _— —_ setup, where each dash is a 200 gold tower.

Level Nine
Complete the pattern of twos and fours; make sure you have FOUR TOWERS in the first bend. You'll need these for level ten!

Up until level 10, the order in which you fill out the pattern from level 4 or so on isn't important. But the pattern is essential to get past level ten.

Level Ten
Ah, the terror of those two fangirls! Okay, here's how you do it.

Start with a layout looking like this:

Then, AS SOON AS THE FIRST FANGIRL HAS BEEN KILLED UP ON THE RIGHT HAND VERTICAL ROAD, HIT SELL.

Sell the two fangirls to the far left in the first bend, from the group of four. Then, as quickly as you can, click back out of Sell into BUY. Buy two more 200 gold towers. Place them so:

Then, just cross your fingers, bite your nails, and wait for the last-minute "ALL CLEAR" sign to pop up. It should.

*takes a deep breath* Okay, you've managed to get to level eleven without losing any life! It's easy from here on to level 18/19.

Level Eleven
Just start filling in the corners. Don't expand along the road yet. Make tidy blocks of four and eight 200 gold towers in the corners and bends. You don't really need to buy during this level, but you can if it makes you nervous.

Level Twelve
Same. Keep filling the corners. Order doesn't really matter, but try to distribute them evenly.

Level Thirteen
Should look about like this:

Level Fourteen and Fifteen
Same as eleven and twelve. Keep working towards full corners and bends. DON'T EXPAND OUT TO THE LENGTH OF THE ROAD YET.

Level Sixteen
You should now have filled it all the corners, and then you'll have an extra 200 gold; I usually buy one 200g tower and put it at the beginning.

Level Seventeen
Now you may extend in a single layer along the roads, out from the corners.

Level Eighteen
Think of this level as entering a new world. Once you've finished filling up with 200 gold towers, you can buy your first 600 gold tower! Place him at the END of the road, right in front of the mansion.

It's a good idea during this level, and subsequent levels (except level twenty-one), to buy more 600 gold towers whenever you can. Don't waste your time with the 400 gold guys. They're useless, in my opinion.

Level Nineteen
Start doubling the 600 gold towers, placing them right next to each other to cover as much road as possible. I like to work from the mansion backwards, but you might find you prefer another way. Remember that if the fangirls lose life toward the beginning, that's less work for your towers later on.

Level Twenty
Is a breeze. Fill up with more 600 gold towers along the outer edges, sit back, and relax. Trust me, you'll need your wits about you for level twenty-one.

Level Twenty-One
BUY BUY BUY. Whenever you can buy a 200 gold tower, BUY IT and place it to make a double layer of 200 gold towers along the road. Your computer might not be fast enough to respond, and you may still lose some life. But it should still enable you to get to the final level.

Level Twenty-Two
YAY! You've made it! Whether or not you place any more towers, you've finished the game. You can go to another tab and simply wait for the game to end by itself, or watch and grin if this is your first time finishing.

Even following your guide step by step, I only made it to level fifteen.

Does lagging actually make it possible to miss a hit? I think that might be my only problem. Hmm.

Lol, this seems a totally overcrowded way to play it, I don't do it like that at all, and clear all 22 levels every time ;)

I can never get past 18 or 19.....so I tried this way.....but in three attempts with this method I am only getting to 16 or 17......I use more of the heavy bombers up front o.0

Yeah, me too. I fill the bottleneck with balloon throwers, then use the 600 guys up at the front.

hmmm.....I was doing thing different then that too....mine was more of a alternating of the balloon throwers and the heavy hitters.

I do find it interesting that she doesn't fill the middle bottle neck section in her method. I ALWAYS fill that first o.0

Yeah, a laggy computer can mean you don't even see things go through, but then you lose life.

Wanna post your own caps? ;) I find this is a foolproof way to play so that I can just leave the game running most of the time.

Well to be honest I'm not exactly approving of a step by step guide being posted at all, as I think people should work out how to win the game themselves, not be shown by someone else and make no effort to work out any strategy on their own, so I'm not posting any screencaps ;)

Do you want to delete the thread? I'm okay with that, even if it makes me sad that I did all this work.

Though, in fairness, I'd be perfectly okay with removing the steps after level 10. I think showing how to get past level 10 is fair enough. :P

Personally - and I may be bias, to be entire honest - I don't really see a problem with this?

It's just one method of doing it, as you have pointed out. And it doesn't mean it will work for everyone.

I tried it this way and only made it to level fifteen.

Additionally, finishing the game doesn't mean you'll get a high score. I managed to beat the game a total of one time (With a different method, I feel I should add) and only got 74k points.

So. /shrug

No harm, no foul, if you ask me. People are going to get their 500g per day anyway, through whatever game and whatever method they choose to do so. There aren't any other strategy games here on Menewsha (Unless you count Tetris?) so what's the problem with saying ''Hey! Here's how I did it! What works for you?''

This is cool. Not exactly how I do it, but that's the beauty of it, I guess :)

Though, I do wonder... How exactly do you get more points to get to a high score? I mean, do we get bonus points for having unspent money? -goes and checks out theory-

Salvaria, this is precisely what Scholar and I were talking about my hangout.

One theory is that it is a glitch, but we're not for one hundred percent sure, so we don't want to go around accusing anyone n_n;;

(At least, I don't, as one of the high score peeps is a kind of friend of mine xD)

Yeah, I was able to go above the 74000-odd once (as the mule contrapunctus), but never since then, though I've tried.
