Ren hesitated a moment more before shrugging. "What else can we do?" She murmured. "Then again, she left. What are we going to do?" She asked. Part of her wanted to pace once more, but she forced herself to breathe and relax. "I'm...completely at a loss," she admitted.

Jay sat in a tree nearby in his bird form. He was the girl's protector after all. He watched them as the house disappeared and waited for them to do something other than just stand there and talk.

Kilia 08-23-2010 09:47 PM

"Depends on where we want to start first...the south or the north?" Faith said to her as she stood up and streatched, they really didn't have a chance to think about things or talk it over or ask more questions but what are they going to do other then what was asked of them. "Well i committed as much of the map to memory as i could. So which sibiling should we go and see first?" she asked Ren as she held her hand out to help her up, trying hard to remain calm and to think everything through while Ren basically freaked out about everything, while on the inside Faith had broken down and cried but on the outside she was a solid as a rock, at least until they hit a town.

kuroshinigami 08-23-2010 09:58 PM

"Ah..." Ren didn't particularly care which direction, so she rose, spun in a circle, and pointed. To east. Chuckling, she said, "Wait, one more time..." She spun once more and pointed to the north. "Sound all right? Should we get heavier clothing? Maybe it's cold up there..." She said, biting her lip and looking down at her outfit. It wouldn't be suitable in winter weather. "Where do we get coats?"

Kilia 08-23-2010 10:35 PM

"Maybe we should get heavy clothing for the north considering it is most likely colder then it is here, but i don't think our money is any good here. Oh well we will see how things are as we go." Faith said to her as she smiled and laughed a little, she walked towards the direction that Ren had pointted at. "At the very least we could trade something for coats." she said to her as she continued to walk, looking back to see if she was following her, seeing that she was, she turnned her eyes back to where she was going, more alert in case the bandits came back for them, after all she wantted to fore warned before they ambushed them once more.

((..."Come on," said Reiga. "Let's go look around a bit. Besides I am sort of hungry." Reiga headed off towards the food stands when he suddenly felt a fluctuation of magic near him. Someone was using magic, a strong teleportation spell at that.))

Lyn nodded. "Of course my..." Lyn paused, unsure what to say. He didn't want to say "my lord" because that would give away his status. However, he couldn't bring himself to say anything else such as "friend" or "companion." He decided to just leave off any title or name. "Of course." Moving, though, made Lyn happy for two reasons. One was that moving made it harder for people to identify and attack them, and the second reason was people are much less likely to talk to people who are headed somewhere. Though, especially during festivals, this rule doesn't always apply. 'Where is Abel? He was supposed to be here. I'll never understand him. You could blindfold him and drop him off in the middle of nowhere and he'd find his way out easily, but he would show up late for the strangest of reasons.' He continued walking when suddenly Reiga paused. Lyn immediately put his hand on his sword, a gesture which must have looked exceedingly strange seeing as how his sword was invisible until he drew it due to the mist. Fearing they may have already been found out, he whispered, "Your majesty?"

kuroshinigami 08-23-2010 10:48 PM

"What can we trade, then? I don't have anything to offer, or nothing I can legally. Or is that legal here?" She joked, chuckling at her vulgar words. She was also looking around, not wanting to be caught by bandits once more. "Hey, maybe we should arm ourselves here too? Especially if more bandits are in these woods." She scowled at the memory of their previous fight. Looking around, she spotted an old tree limb. It was rather sturdy and long. "Walking stick and I can smack the hell out of someone with it," she told Faith with a wry grin.

Kilia 08-23-2010 11:41 PM

"Who knows but i am sure we can find somthing to trade, or we can just steal what we need." Faith said to her friend thoughtfully before she looked at the stick that she was talking about, laughing a little before she looked around for a simular one to use. "Being armed sounds like a good idea to me." she said to her as she twisted the dragon bracelet around her wrist, she didn't find a stick for her self to use so she just kept walking along until she found a weapon, she didn't find one so she didn't worry about it to much, playing with her hair as she thought on things, making sure they were going to the right direction.

kuroshinigami 08-23-2010 11:51 PM

Ren made a face. "Should we really steal this stuff? I mean, maybe we can work for it...?" She shook her head. "Then again, if we need to survive, I guess we'll have to do it." She still wasn't comfortable with it, which her facial expression clearly showed. She played with her stick idly, watching the scenery with focused, alert eyes. She didn't like being fooled twice. "I wonder how long this will take?" She wondered aloud.

Kilia 08-23-2010 11:58 PM

((ugh!!! writer's block....maybe someone should just run into us already?))

kuroshinigami 08-24-2010 12:04 AM

((lol maybe XD))

ropelife 08-24-2010 12:17 AM

((The problem is, I think you're too far away from everybody else. You're in the middle of the country and everyone else is at the edges. I'd recommend you just time lapse and have your characters walking into their destinations. Just summarize what your characters did to get there. But it's your choice :) ))

kuroshinigami 08-24-2010 12:23 AM

((yay ^^ I'll do the honors, unless someone objects))

Ren and Faith walked to the north without trouble. They managed to trade for some warm clothes in exchange for Ren's anklet which her mother had given her for her last birthday. She had no problem trading it, as she was pretty sure it was a regift, originally from one of her mother's ex-lover considering the charm had her mother's initials on it. They reached the northern country, and Ren was glad for the trade. It was cold as they had assumed.
"Okay, so now what?" Ren asked Faith quietly, looking around her. She shuddered slightly and danced in her place, trying to stay warm. She didn't do well in the cold. "We're here, and it's cold as all hell. Who's bright idea was it to come here?" She grumbled. "Oh wait, that was me. Should've gone to the South afterall. But maybe it's better to get this out of the way first - the south'll feel better after this," she muttered rather grumpily.

Kilia 08-24-2010 01:07 AM

Faith laughed at what Ren had said, it was just something that she found funny in the situation they were in and it made things a little less bleak. "Well i guess we go and find a town and ask them about thier God." Faith said as she frowned, fingering the choker she had around her neck as she thought about going into another town, after all she was out of her element there. She looked around them briefly before she saw smoke, which hopefully meant that they will find a town that can tell them were the God of the North is at. "Let's go that way." she said to Ren as she pointted towards the smoke, hope on her face as she thought about the fire that was most likely going on that could warm them up really good. She started to walk towards it as she pulled her jacket or clak around her even more, trying to stay warm just like Ren was, the sad thing was is that it wasn't working to well and she just wantted to get out of the clod, which is one thing she hated, the cold and snow, snow was beautiful to her, as long as she was not out in it.

kuroshinigami 08-24-2010 01:28 AM

"Okay," Ren nodded, and moved as quickly as she could to keep warm and hopefully find a house with warm food. "Maybe they'll feed us," she said. "We were sent by a goddess, that has to be worth something...wait, will they believe us if we say that? They might think we're a couple of nutters," she admitted as she walked, huffing out her breath onto frozen hands. "What say you, should we just beg and hope they're nice?" She asked. "Gah, it's too damn cold! How can anyone in their right mind live here?" She complained.

TearRose 08-24-2010 01:59 AM

The entire time, Jay was following the girls making sure they were safe.

((don't know what else to put.... thinking i should make another random person.... :3))

Kilia 08-24-2010 02:01 AM

They travelled further before the saw the town up a head, Faith was freezing by this point and could not feel her feet, but once she saw the buildings, she couldn't help but feel relieved. "Thank God." she said in relief as she hugged Ren, she then let the girl go as she looked at the town, thankful that they had finally made it to a place where they could get warm. "Hopefully they will give us some food if not i can trade my cokaer for it." she said to Ren with a smile on her face as she fingered the said coker, not wantting to give it up but is welling to if it meant that they could eat and get things that they needed, after all surviving is more important then little trinkets. "Come lets run the rest of the way." she said with a smile before she started to run the rest of the way towards the toown, hoping to get there fast and to get warm.

kuroshinigami 08-24-2010 03:13 AM

"Race ya," Ren said, grinning widely and running with Faith. She knew that the chocker meant a lot to Faith, and she hoped there would be another option than trading it. "We'll think of something," she said as they ran. They reached a house and Ren instantly began knocking on the door. Belatedly, she paused and winced. "Ah, maybe it's too late for this?" She mused, but already the door was opening. "Hi," Ren said, looking slightly flustered. "Erm, I know this is a little...presumptuous, but could we come in for a bit? It's really freezing outside, and we don't have food or anything. Um, we can work for you, or pay you or something, but...please help!" She said, looking at them piteously.

0ri0n83 08-24-2010 07:25 AM

((Sorry for being an inactive person. I was moving into my new room for college. I was also wondering about that problem of distance as well))

Reiga paused when he heard Lyn say,"Your Majesty?" There was a strong fluctuation of magic, of the teleportation kind. Turning around towards the enterance of the village Reiga closed his eyes and let his mind wander, he had found his lost attendant. Opening his eyes he looked at Lyn. Reiga noticed that he had drawn out his sword. He lowered his hand, gave him a smile, and said," I think I know where my always late guard is. Abel is on the outskirts of town. We should go and greet him." He outwardly smiled as a feral looking grin spread across his angelic features. He decided that he wasn't going to ruin the event by whipping up a snow storm to show his discontentment for Abel. However, he would let him have it when they left. Walking around the various foodstands he stood in front of one that had some steeming, battered things on sticks. Flagging one over he bought one for himself and Lyn. Taking both of them he held one out to Lyn as he took a bite of his own.

Abel approached the village when he felt that he was being watched. He whipped his horse around and turned around in a complete circle, but there was nothing there. Shaking his head he continued towards the village. By the time he arrived there were people running around getting last minute preperations for the festival. Bringing his horse to one of the paddocks he found that it was mostly empty except for a few other horses. He reigned in his horse, tied it to one of the stall posts, and handed some money to the stable master. The stable master shook his head, and pushed the money back as he said," Today is a celebration. It's the Wintermeal Festival. Keep your money, and enjoy the festival." Pocketing the money Abel went walking around the village looking for Lord Reiga.
Walking around the city looking for his lord was providing to be very hard since Abel figured that Reiga, and probably Lyn as well, had doned on some form of glamour. Looking down at his armor he was bound to be noticed. He should have left earlier he might have been given some glamour magic as well.

Connel finished his meal, and walked out into the hallways through the double doors of his room. There were two guards on the outside of his doors standing there looking regal with their spears held high, poised and ready to strike if need be. After a faulty attempt on his life at a benefit banquet he was not going to take any more chances. The guards saluted him, he he saluted the guards back, and then continued on his way. Going further down the hall he took a few turns and was at another set of double doors. Opening the doors he saw a bunch of stuffy looking men sitting around a round table. There was a chair at the head of the table where Connel himself sat. The meeting was now ready to begin.

Kilia 08-24-2010 02:45 PM

"Maybe!" Faith called to Ren as they ran, of course her friend reach the house before she did so she was left standing a few feet back, breathing heavy as she tried to catch her breath, the cold not bothering her anymore. She watched and listened as Ren talked to the person, after all it was the area that she was the best in and that Faith was horrible at. She smiled at the person and waved, turnning around in circles slightly as she looked around them, seeing that most of the people in the town or viallege was gathering in the center, laughing and joking, doing verious things, the smell of food came towards her. They were on the outskirt of the town in the furthest house but she still had a veiw of what was going in the center of the town, it looked like some sort of festival but she could also be wrong.

kuroshinigami 08-24-2010 10:35 PM

The man looked Ren over a minute before shrugging. "If it's food you want, there's plenty over that way," he pointed towards the gathering of people. "It's the Winterfestival."
"Ooh, I love festivals!" Ren said, smiling happily. "Is it all right if we join in?"
"Sure thing, the more the merrier," he returned Ren's smile and walked out of the house. "I'm on my way, come with me."
"Okay," Ren said, shrugging. Considering the amount of people around them, she didn't feel in any danger. "I'm Ren, this is my friend Faith," she said as they approached Faith.
"I'm Pyke," he said.
"He's taking us to the festival," she explained. "What's the festival for?"
"To praise our God and get a good harvest. You're not from around here, are you?"
"Nope," Ren admitted. She nearly asked the man about the God more, but then she thought she might give away to much about their mission.

((no problem ^^))

Kilia 08-24-2010 11:13 PM

"Nice to met you. Can you tell us about the God?" Faith asked him timidly, consedering talking to people other then Ren and little kids was not something that she normally did. She blushed in embarrassment before she fell into step slightly behind Ren, following them into the town and into the bustling of the festivaties, feeling excited about something interesting and new going on around her but not wantting to be around the people.

Forever_Trapped 08-25-2010 04:39 PM

(*Waits for a way to get into the story ^^*)

kuroshinigami 08-25-2010 10:30 PM

((crap, what should I say about the gods??? >.<))

"You don't know?" The man said, and the proceeded to explain the legend of the god.
"Interesting," Ren said with a nod, though she had only been partially listening. Her stomach was growling too hard for her to concentrate on anything else but food. She walked rapidly towards the bonfire and instantly warmed herself in front of it. "Ahhh, so much better," she moaned in appreciation.

0ri0n83 08-26-2010 07:36 AM

((Where to get character's involved with one another))

((Reiga is waiting for a response from Lyn.))

Abel walked around the village feeling more out of place than usual. He kept getting stares at other people. It was making him rather uncomfortable to be completely honest. Continuing to walk around he decided that it probably wasn't a good idea to be screaming out his Lord's name in the event that people actually knew his name. He saw a large gathering of people and he decided that that was as good a place as any to start his search for Reiga. Walking around the bonfire, his stomach made a large growl. Sighing to himself he decided that he would eat before he would continue on his search. He sat down in the nearest empty spot, it was right next to a girl. Looking towards her he noticed that even though they wore cloaks and clothing of this area they still seemed out of place. The village rarely changed from year to year, and there were very people that came and went. So he knew that these people were outsiders. People from possibly another country.

Connel sighed as he listened to the other men drone on and on. The councilmen were talking about things that were beneath him. They were talking about things such as tariffs, crop harvests, the current state of the borders; pretty boring stuff. To be honest he was just at the council meeting because of formality. What he really wanted was to see his girlfriend, soon to be fiancee, Jonna. Sighing out loud one of the councilmen looked at him, and before thinking about what he was going to say blurted out," Are we boring you talking about the state of your country?" He hastily then added," Sire" very sarcastically. Getting up from the table Connel calmly walked up to the councilman, drew his sword so that it was eye level, and said," I think it would be in your best interest to hold your tongue." The man began to apoligize and blubber out apology after apology. "Quit your insistent blubbering before I end it for you." Not caring much about the rest of the council meeting Connel left through the door he had entered. The meeting was officially over until further notice.
