Lyn was completely flabbergasted, which had never happened to him before. He first looked at Faith, it looked like she was about to pass out from laughing so hard. 'I... I don't understand. Why is she laughing?' Then he looked at Ren who seemed to be following in her footsteps. 'She said something about not being... the right people?' Lyn was thoroughly confused. He sensed that the whole situation had turned into more of a social scene than anything else. Granted, tensions were still high among everyone except the two girls, but they were considerably lower than they had been just moments before. Lyn lowered his sword but didn't sheath it. He glanced between the two girls, "Who are you?"
Ren stopped laughing but there was still a grin across her face. She still felt stressed, but oddly happy. She had pretty much assumed that she had cracked up, but was going with it anyways. She was a little confused at Lyn's question. "Oh, did we not introduce ourselves? I'm Ren, this is Faith." She was starting to feel calm again, and a little exhausted as well. She wondered when the last time she had slept on a good bed was. "I hate sleeping outside," she sighed quietly to herself.
"I am so sorry." Fatih said as she caught her breathe and managed to stop laughing, wiping the tears from her face as she stood up, brushing her long dark brown hair from her face as she smiled at everyone, not worried about what might happen now. "Ren, I am sorry. The thought of you cutting you tongue and being silent for the rest of your life was just to funny." she said to her friend again, starting to laugh a bit more as the thought came back into her mind, she put a hand over her mouth as she tried to keep from laughing again, after all it was just a little too funny in her mind.
((okay so you did notice you were using the wrong name lol :))) |
((lol i did when you mentioned it! too many rps, haha))
Ren chuckled and made a wry face. "Come on, it's not completely out there. I can shut up whenever I want. I mean, I have self-control. I'm not just some idiot that rambles on and on..." She chuckled, but stopped the joke. "Erm, sorry, this probably is a bad time to joke around, huh?" She grinned innocently and crossed her arms over her chest, tapping out a beat on both forearms. |
Amaya crossed her arms and legs, listening to her brother yammer. "I came because we are family and I wanted to make sure you are still breathing. I want to take that away myself, but now - it would be an insult. Now - I would like something to eat... That sounds heavenly." she said, looking at her brother. Amaya clearly wasnt worried about her brother killing her, it was simple - she hadnt attemped it, nor should he. Stairing at her brother, her thoughts wandered. She didnt know why they had a fall out either, but... still, whatever happened, happened and there was nothing changing it. Love for him still ran through her but... Amaya stopped her thoughts right there. Enemies. Plain and simple. However, her appearance here shocked everyone, it was clear.

Reiga sat watching the whole encounter unfolded. What was once a tense situation became much more relaxed when the girls began laughing uncrontrollably. Oh yes what were the girl's names. Oh yes their names were Faith and Ren. Reiga smirked himself, and let out a chuckle. Between Abel slaving away in the kitchen and the two girls outbursts it was a rather comical sight. Abel came over with a plate of steaming food. It was his famous stir-fry. It smelled heaveny, and he bet that it tasted even better as he took a bite into it. It was truly divine. Food simply fit for a God..
Abel stood in the kitchen busying himself with making the rest of the food, and putting the finishing touchs on the plates that were already done. He took two of them and brought one over the Amaya first then the other one to Reiga. "I hope it is to your liking Lord Reiga, and Lady Amaya. If you need anything else don't hesitate to call for me." With that said he went back to kitchen to prepare food for himself, the girls, and Lyn. Looking over at Lyn he noticed that he still had his sword out. "Lyn," he said. "Put your sword away. Everything is fine. Besides I think you're scaring the girls. Relax, nothing is going to happen. We have the oath of a God." Connel: N.A. |
Faith manage to stop laughing once more and just ended up standing there with a stupid grin on her face as she looked over the scene, the only people who seemed tense in her mind was the two gods and Lyn who was still ready to fight. "What are you talking about. It is the perfect time. After all it is unhealthy to be in a room full of anger and hate." she said in good humor as she walked out from behind Lyna and took a seat on the floor, trying to make everything less tense by relaxing and trying to be normal. She knew that Ren could tell that she was forcing her self to be social, when she wasn't a very social person when it comes to people. "If you became silent or cut your tongue out...then that would force me to be socialable to people....and you know i am not a people person. I think i just might end up embarassing everyone with my bad social skills." she said to her friend, basically ignoring evveryone else and pretending they weren't there so that she could bring her self to talk, it was easy when no one else was talking around her but when others spoke she blushed and hide her face from them.
((lol it is okay i know how you feel lol :))) |
((thanks. just give a yell if I do it again. I'm usually pretty good about it, but yeah >.< ))
Ren sniffed the air and nearly began to drool at the scent. She sat down next to Faith and shrugged. "Your social skills can't be any worse than mine. I mean, I offend half the people I speak too, if not more. Apparently they don't really want my honest opinion after all," she shook her head, trying to relax with Faith. She could tell Faith was forcing herself, and the only thing she could to was to relax with her so that hopefully both of them would be lulled into true comfort. "Girls ask me to go to the mall with them, and then ask me if something makes them look fat. So I tell them the truth and I get bitched at. I don't get it," she continued. She snuck a glance at the gods, wondering if they would begin to bond over food. She always found that food was a good way to induce a feeling of friendship, especially if the food was good. Considering how good it smelled, Ren figured it had to taste even better. She sighed, and to get her mind off the food she said, "And even if I couldn't speak, I'd probably learn sign language or just write things down. I don't think being mute would stop me at all, maybe just slow me down a bit." She cracked a grin and tapped a quiet beat with her knuckles on the ground. |
((i have writers block in here sorry))
((Eck, I hate when that happens! Eh, I'm just babbling anyways...lol))
Amaya took a plate and bowed her head in a mix of a thank you and a sign of respect. Both of which were rare from the beautiful Goddess. As soon as she tasted the food, she realized her brother was correct - this was amazing. "Some red wine would be lovely, or anything else you might have that would go with this," she requested, then continued to eat. This place was nice... enough to hold a God, that was. But it was still nice.
((so do i lol))
At Abel's words, Lyn put his sword away, but he remained cautious. He couldn't quite bring himself to trust the word of the Goddess. 'These are the strangest girls I have ever seen. They've used some pretty strange words. Hospital, motorcycle, and a language I've never heard of... sign? I've never heard of a nation that speaks it.' Lyn walked into the kitchen, but didn't turn his back to Lady Amaya. "Abel, do you keep wine in here?" While Lyn still didn't trust the Goddess of the South, she was, at the moment, a guest of Lord Reiga's and so her requests should be fulfilled if possible.
((Yikes, what happened here?))
Reiga heard his sister say something to the effect of asking if there was wine in the house. Reiga didn't like his guards drinking when they were on the job. What they did in their private lives though was completely up to them. Reiga saw Abel bring out two crystal, gem encrusted wine glasses. They had been gifts from the two famous artisans years ago who had come asking for power from him. He scoffed as he thought about that. Going into the pantry Reiga saw that Abel brought out a rather old looking bottle. "He wasn't," thought Reiga. " I gave that to him for a very special occasion." Looking around the room he decided that this was as good a special occasion as any other. There was a loud pop as the cork was taken off the bottle. A glass was offered to Reiga first then to the Goddess of the South. Abel winced when he heard those silky sounding words come out of her mouth. He had wine, but the only bottle of wine he had was from when he beat Reiga, and became his guardian. It was a commeration ceremony when he received his powers. Yet, the goddess asked for it, and he would procure it if it killed him. Going into the pantry he grabbed the bottle of wine, and set it on the table. Going into a cupboard he brought out two crystal glasses with gems encrusted on them. He remembered when he had received those vividly: Flashback Reiga was sitting on his throne helping out the local townsfolk that came to his domain asking for better harvests and other typical drivel. The next pair of people stepped forward and offered his Lord the two glasses in return for some of his power so they could go and defeat the mongel hordes that were plaguing their lands. Now, most of the time Reiga would have given them the power, for when they won, it would be returned to him, but Reiga knew much about this particular incident. The villagers had asked the mongels to help them defeat their neighbors with brute force. The villagers had promised them money, and as soon as the mongels had done their task they were cast out, obviously not being paid. Reiga stood up and in his booming voice said," You come and stand before me, knowing what you tell me is a lie. Get out of my domain before I snuff out your lives." The men went running away, and were never seen again. End Flashback I was given the glasses to do whatever I wanted with them. I decided to keep them. Filling the glasses full of wine. Abel gave one to Lord Reiga who accepted it immediately and then I waited in front of the Goddess of the South waiting for her to take hers as well. Connel: N.A. |
Faith smiled, chuckling a bit as thought about what Ren said to her, she looked at everyone in the room and blushed slightly as she became very concious of the fact that she was talking infront of people. "I....I...I like that you are honest, it makes things easier for me when it comes to people." she said to them as she blushed some more, looking down as she avoided eye contact with everyone, except for Ren. "If you learned sign language you would probable sign so fast that no one could understand what your saying." she said to her friend as she laughed nervously, laughed before she took the plate that was offered to her, blushing slightly as she nodded her head in thanks, it really did smell good. She looked down at her food before she looked over at the sibilings, thinking for a moment as she tasted the food. "What caused you two to hate each other?" she whispered between bites of food, not meeting thier eyes as she interuptted thier conversation, she became very shy, blushing as she waitted for a answer from them but not exactly expecting one. It was one of the questions that her and Ren have been slightly avoidding as they tried to relax.
Ren made a face, knowing it was true. If her hands went as fast her words, it would be hard to catch. That, and her hands would cramp up. She would have voiced this, but there was food to be eaten, and Faith was speaking. She looked up when Faith asked why the siblings hated each other. She was curious to know this as well, mostly because it would make their jobs easier, and also due to curiosity. She couldn't imagine hating her brothers. Granted, more often than not they were driving her up the wall, but she could never hate them. "Then again, maybe some things really aren't something that can be forgiven," she thought to herself, frowning slightly as she ate.
Reiga was enjoying a few last bites of food when Faith's words cut into it saying,"What caused you two to hate each other." He half choked, not really expecting that kind of question. Come to think of it," he thought. "Why did they hate each other. Had it really been so long ago that he didn't remember anymore?" He felt a little embarassed since he was unable to answer the question correctly since he didn't remember. Turning to Abel, who looked as clueless as him, or Lyn who was a hell of a lot smarter than Abel in hopes that they would answer the question for him.
Abel, after serving both of the god's began getting some food himself when he heard Faith's question. He had come into this job very later, after whatever had happened between the two gods, so he didn't have the foggiest idea of what actually happened. It was something that Reiga talked very little about, if at all. Hopefully, Lyn knew about it, since he had been here the longest, save for himself. Looking over at Lyn he looked at him with expecting eyes. Connel: N.A. |
Amaya's eyes flew to the girl, her fishnetted, fingerless gloved hand gripping the wine glass a little harder.. Was she really that talkitive? She thought that slave/palace girls were meant for nothing more than to stand there and look pretty - that's all. Decoration, plain and simple. Well - she needed to lear her place then and Amaya was glad to deliver on that. "None of yours or any one else's here buisness. That is between me and him. Not you nor will it ever, palace girl." she said short and simply and it wasnt a request from her side. Her tone was clipped, sharp, and blunt - one that you didnt want to hear a god in because it borderlined anger or another emotion. The bloody snowstorm orbs slipped to Lyn. That was a girls name, what was his parents thinking... "Do not answer that - not now nor ever." she ordered simply, downing the rest of the wine. Obviously - it was a subject that she didnt enjoy speaking of nor would she ever.
Lyn remained silent. He couldn't have answered anyway, he didn't know either. However, from Kail's perspective, Lady Amaya seemed awfully defensive about the matter. If any of them remembered, it would probably be her, but he doubted she would ever reveal it. "Lady Amaya, beg your pardon, but these two are not palace girls, at least not of Lord Reiga's domain. At the moment, they are honored guests who traveled a great distance. So please understand, if they do not follow our customs, it is not because they intend to be disrespectful, but because they are unfamiliar with our culture." Lyn wasn't actually sure if this was entirely correct, but, with what he did know about the two girls, he figured it would be better if he responded before Ren did, otherwise, blood might really be shed.
Ren prickled instantly at the goddess' harsh words. She heard Lyn's words, and though it was probably smarter to keep her mouth shut, she found that she couldn't hold back. Not when her friend was being talked to in such a rude and disdainful manner. "Shit, no reason to act all pissy," she snarled. "God, I hate it when someone gets a bit of power, and then they act like they own the damn world. She was just asking a question. It's not like she meant any harm by it. People are way too oversensitive," she finished her rant rather irritably, glaring at the goddess. Part of her wondered if she should be scared by the goddess' reaction, but the other part (the dominant part) was too angry to care.
Faith was in shock by the Goddess's words, after all she had been talked down to a lot in her life but never in such away that it had left her speechless, after all this just proved why she a animal person instead of a people person. "Thanks, Ren. I love you like a sister." she said softly to her friend as she stood up as she set her almost untouched food on the counter, hugging her friend as she tried to calm her down and reassure her that she was fine even though she wantted to just break down crying. "It just means we are going to be stuck in this land for far longer then we thought." she said as she gave a weak reasurring smile to her, not looking at anyone else as she let Ren go, walking over to the window to look out of it. She had a slight air about her that said she was thinking or reflecting on her self, after all things seemed to take a bad turn for them and she had to figure something out.
At Faith's reaction, she shot another glare at Amaya. Faith was the only friend and sister she had, meaning she was the only one who could pick on Faith (as is the rule in most families). She was also struck by the truth of Faith's words, which only added to her irritation. "I need to get home. What about my brothers? God knows Mom's probably lost without me. She never was much of a housekeeper," she thought, wondering if they all had clean clothes and edible food. "Probably not. Probably living on take-out again, like that time I was sick..." she thought, groaning. She stabbed at her food, and looked over at Faith. She seemed absorbed in her thoughts, so Ren stayed where she was, not wanting to bother her friend. She muttered a few curses under her breath and set her plate away. She couldn't eat when she was this irate.
Instead of being totally infuriated at the acts of defiance of the girls, Amaya laughed. She tilted her head back and laughed harder than she expected. One of the two girls had an attitude and the other one was sensitive. "Ahhh - brother, you know how to pick them. Brave enough to give attitude to a woman who could have them killed where they stand for insubordination. I like them." she said, smirking. Amaya kept her eyes on the girls, sipping the wine more. "Thank you for the information Lyn, albet I know that. Simply a chain reaction to gain another reaction. The two girls of legend, the ones that will come from another land and bring chaos or calm." she informed, smiling a bit. Amaya played her games well, her true attitude and personality coming out. "Have wine, kids - relax. Rejoice for you're stuck here for a long... long while." she said, smirking.
Rather than being soothed by laughter as Ren normally would, Amaya's words only irritated her further, and put her on edge. "We weren't picked by your brother, it was..." She nearly bit off her tongue. She wasn't sure whether or not it was safe to mention Ting's name here. Instead, she moved on and asked, "We were made into a legend? Weird. And if you know why we're here, why don't you just make up and place nice so we can go home? I never knew gods to act so moronically. Then again, maybe gods aren't much better than humans after all," Ren continued, inspiration striking her. "Maybe since they live so long, they remain childish for a good deal longer than a mortal." She stabbed at her food some more, watching Amaya's reaction with narrowed eyes. "Maybe I can annoy her into reconciliation. If I insult her enough with those 'immature' comments, she might go for it...I never thought my big mouth would help me at all. Then again, if I piss her off too much I might get killed. Then again, if I don't do it enough she might not go for it. Damn. I was never good at that whole 'judgement' thing." She shrugged once more. "Nice to know we're stuck here because two alleged gods are too pig-headed to do anything useful with their time." She muttered. She suppressed a wince, thinking, "And that might've been too far...damn..."
"The ranch won't last with out me......" Faith said to the window, one of the horses was looking in, breathing onto the pane as she stood there and watched. She wasn't lying, her parents were always busy with thier real jobs to keep the place up and her sibilings were to lazy to take care of the place, she had even taken care of everything when she was sick, saying it was nothing. Her older sister who had moved out and had a family of her own always told her that she was too kind for her own good, now it was comming back and bitting her in the ass. "Ren....we only got each other in this place. We can't really relie on anybody or trust people here.....we are the wolves in this land of sheeps. These two...these so called gods.....they are just sheep also......they expect everything to be handed to them on a gem encrusted silve plater......they don't know what really hard work is or real love. So we have to stick together and try not to get killed." Faith said to her friend, it was clear that she was off in someplace where it was just her and Ren being the sisters that they felt like, it was what was on her mind about thier situation since it seemed more and more like they weren't going to get out of it until something good happened or bad.
