"Thanks," Raina swallowed the aspirin and gulped down the water. "How come you two don't have a hangover either? You were at the party too, weren't you?"

"I didn't drink anything but soft drinks," Kiara said. "Bad for my teeth but at least I don't have a hang over."
"I've built up a tollerance," Lelouch said flatly. "It's necessary when you've been in the student council as long as I have."
"Makes sense," Kiara commented off handedly. "Milly seems to love throwing parties."

"You guys are so lucky..." said Raina, but the pain in her head was slowly fading. "Hey is that a little hut up ahead?"
"Yes, I think it may be one of the lookout points for the JLF," said Lelouch.

Lelouch put on his mask and Kiara pulled on her vizor.
"Ready when you are Lelouch," she said calmly.
"Good," he said, his voice once again coming from behind the mask. "Be ready to move on my signal and follow my lead."

Lelouch and the two girls exited their van/vehicle thing and approached the hut. Raina peeked inside the window. Two men, both wearing uniforms, were sitting at a table playing Othello.
"Wow, they're hard-working," she muttered.

Kiara was inclined to agree with Raina, she was just sorry that the purple haired girl had said it first.
"Ther'es no time for that," Lelouch/Zero whispered. "Get ready."
"Right," Kiara murmured, her hadn going to the concealed pistol she kept in a hidden pocket of her jacket.

"If possible I would like to avoid killing them," said Lelouch. "If they stop sending regular reports then we may have trouble on our hands. I'll use my geass. If I don't catch them with it in time, it's up to you two."
"K, ready when you are," said Raina, clutching a knife.

"On my signal then," Lelouch said, crouching. Kiara's muscles tensed, ready to spring.
"One," Lelouch whispered, "two...three...go!"
They rushed forward.

The guards were slow on their feet. Clearly, they were shocked to see Zero and two Black Knights enter an area right in the middle of the JLF's influence.
The part of Lelouch's mask covering his eye opened up and he used his geass. "Ignore all that is to happen."
"All right, all right," said one of the men, sitting back down again. "It's your move."

Kiara smirked. Lelouch's Geass was a very handy one. She looked down at their game of Othello and shook her head. The guy o the right was gunna win in five minutes flat, six at most.
"Okay," she said, turning to Zero. "What now?"

"We wait for the others," said Lelouch. "I'll just contact them, and they'll make their way here with the Knightmares and other supplies we need."
"Nap time ~" Raina sang, sinking onto an old sofa.

Kiara rolled her eyes as Raina curled up on the sofa. Lelouch in the mean time set about contacting the other Black Knights. It didn't take them too long to arrive and soon the Knightmares were all ready. Kiara shook Raina awake.
"Okay," she said, turning to Lelouch."What are your orders?"

"We'll set up all the things here," said Lelouch. "You and Raina, each get in a burai. You'll be in Kallen's squad."

"Got it," Kiara said. As the Knightmare frames were exposed she chose one at random and quickly climbed into the comand centre for the robot. She made herself confortable as the hatch closed. She took deep, even breaths. She didn't much like enclosed spaces but this wasn't too bad. She could manage. She gripped the controls as her Knightmare came to life.
"All systems are a go," she spoke into her radio.

Raina climbed into her own Burai. She had never actually been inside a Knightmare before. But she'd done reasonably well at the simulations, so it was fine.
"I see Britannia!" said Ougi, who had binoculars. "That's got to be all of Cornelia's team CA!"
"Huh?!" exclaimed Tamaki. "How're we supposed to defeat them?"
"We're cut off, we can't move," said Inoue.
"Yes, our escape is cut off and we are up aaginst Cornelia, one of the most brilliant military minds in the world. It would be a miracle if we won in this situation," said Lelouch/Zero.
"Huh?!"
"So we need a miracle. I shall give you that miracle, to prove to you that I am worthy of being your leader."
"Miracles don't come cheap!" said Tamaki.

Kiara and Raina followed Kallen closely in their Knightmares as they were given instructions bgy her from Zero. 'This is it,' Kiara thought. 'We're gunna make our first offensive move agains't Brittania. They're finally going to know that we mean business'

"Kallen," said Zero/Lelouch. "Use the Nuclear Pulse Emitter. You can do it, can't you?"
"I can," said Kallen, who was inside the shiny new Guren Nishiki. The robotic hand of her Knightmare clamped down on one of the Nuclear pods. "Confirming power levels... there!"
Suddenly, the guren began emitting power right down into the ground. Everyone watched and held their breaths, ready to move. At first nothing happened. then, a faint rumbling could be heard. The ground began to shake.
A landslide. And it was crushing the main section of the Britannian force.

Kiara smirked as she watched the rocks tumble down, crushing both Knightmares and piolets beneath their weight. She couldn't hear the metal being crushed or the screams of the dying, all she could hear was the sound of the rocks falling. She felt a brief stab of pity for their families but she quickly forced herself to ferget about that. It wouldn't do her any good to dwell on taht. What was done couldn't be undone and this was war. There were bound to be losses.
Down the mountain she could see Cornelia's Knightmare. Her eyes narrowed.

"All right! Now is the time to make our move!" said Zero/Lelouch. "Kallen, you and your squad head towards the right, to Colonel Kariu's unit. I'll head to Cornelia, as we agreed!"
Everyone sprang into action, and Raina urged her Knightmare to follow Kallen. It wasn't different from the simulations at all. She could do this. Her hangover was now forgotten - this was important.

Kiara followed Kallen's red Guren, dodging the occasional falling bolder. She desperately wanted to go after Cornelia but Lelouch was a great strategist so he probably had his reasons for having her and Raina go with Kallen. As they followed Kallen they caught sight of the enemy Knightmares, the Southerlands. She gritted her teeth.
'It's payback time Britannia,' she silently thought. 'Time to pay you back for taking my family away from me.'

Colonel Karius's unit didn't last long. Kallen's Knightmare took out Karius himself and two others in a matter of seconds. Raina took on a third, completely destroying the enemy Knightmare. There was only one left.

Kiara smirked. "Thanks for leaving me something to play with guys," she said over her radio. Her eyes fixed on the enemy knightmare and her fingers twitched on the controls.
'This is going to be fun,' was the last thing she thought before she rushed forward, catching the enemy knightmare piolet by surprise. This acted to Kiara's advantage and she quickly disposed of both piolet and Knightmare.
"Alright," she said over the radio. "What are our new orders from Zero?"

"We're to head over to his position," said Kallen. "He's got incoming enemies. We've gotta get rid of him, then head off to point 9."
"Right!" They made their way over to where Zero was, and found that he was being attacked by two purists - it oculd only be Viletta Nu and Jeremiah Gottwald. Orange was about to shoot Zero, but Kallen jumped in the way, defelcting the bullets.
Her robotic hand shot out and grasped Gottwald's machine. Nuclear energy began to pulse out of it, going right through the Knightmare. Raina watched, impressed.

"Let's go!" Kiara shouted over the radio and charged the other Knightmare who was trying to get to Lelouch while Kallen was distracted. At her comand her Knightmare leapt forward into the path of the other southerland.
"And where do youthink you're going?" Her voice was amplified by loud speakers so the other Knightmare piolet heard her.

Raina took the other side of the remaining Purist, Viletta Nu, so that she and Kiara had her surrounded. She attacked from behind, sending her Slash Harkens flying and aiming with her machine gun.
