Her eyes closed as she walked back into camp and several men were packing up and going home to retrieve their families and leave the kingdom. Mirial watched them and then looked to the men who stayed. "Father died trying to make peace. But nothing will stop us from making peace with the wild ones. They have a few bad eggs in there lists as I know we do in this army. We have to be strong through these times of sorrow and do what is best for our families." She smiled and looked to them as she raised her fist and the men cheered. The queen went to her tent after that and decided to get some sleep for the day of peace tomorrow.
((Are you playing the cousin?)) |
[{Why not. You can if you like. Just thought we needed an antagonist}]
For once Adanril woke up on time, from a poor sleep. With a less then enthusiastic attitude he dressed himself to at least be presentable in his fathers terms. It was the day for peace at least that is what they hopped for. He knew very well his men wanted to go back to their families. Had already given them a speech less joyful but impacting. Adanril just didn't want to lose anyone else, leave families without fathers or lose a close friend. It made him think about Mirial, if he ever got to start a family with her he would never leave his kids like that. Then he quietly made his way over to his fathers tent hoping his cousin wasn't inside of it. He couldn't see any of his men, a good sign. |
((No, you can.))
She woke up, bathed the dressed herself in a light purple gown with white trim and walked over to the wild ones camp with a single, but her best knight. Mirial looked at the king of the wild ones and then to the troops around the tents. Her eyes went to them as she smiled and spoke. "Peace will find a way gentlemen. When you kill one person who stand for peace, there will be another there who will want to make peace. This war between our races ends today and I will not fall until peace is made." Her eyes went to the king as she bowed and walked toward his tent. "Shall we finish this, yor majesty?" |
[{Alright.}]
The troops were surprised that the Queen even talked to them they quickly bowed to her as the King glared upon them. They at least had enough respect to come out and see her. It shocked them though, that the girl still wanted peace after her fathers death. With a nod the King spoke, "I would be pleased if we did, your highness." The king couldn't help but smile, the same one Adanril had. The prince held open the tent flap as his father guided Mirial in. He then told his men to get back to what they were doing. Now in the tent the King took his seat like the last time and awaited the princess now Queen to take hers. He was ready to make peace, and was glad his son still wanted to be at his side. Seeing as he was the one who was allowing his nephew to come back. "So do you have any new ideas now that you are Queen? We have given your men back. I was thinking of a marriage but that seems, odd now." The king said referring to the girl was now the ruler of her people. |
Mirial smiled as they bowed, knowing the king had helped her with that. Her eyes went to Adanril as she walked into the tent with his father and sat down in the chair offered to her. "I have some ideas but I will not make many changes to the kingdom until our period of mourning is over. And we shall give your men back to you as well." At the mentioning of the word marriage, she smiled and looked to the king and then to Adanril. "Even if I am queen, I would accept marriage to your son. He is the person I would to have by my side. If he will have me."
The King smiled at what she said, he quite liked her and thought she would make a great ruler with her incredible wisdom. He would be honored to have his son by her side. "You are very wise my dear. We have discussed and my son would be honored to have your hand in marriage. But there is something I want to clarify are you willing to rule over my people and willing to allow my son to rule over yours. I don't know how many more years I have in this body." he said with a hearty laugh. Was quite the gentle King and did what pleased his people the most.
Adanril looked back at Mirial and smiled giving a nod of his head in 'yes' to her statement of having her. He always dreamed of this day and was so happy it came but he held it in. Did think his father should yet learn of the love they have for each other. The happiness Adanril had didn't last long when his cousin came into the tent. A man with dark skin, silky black hair pulled back at the nape of his neck, and scars marked his body from war along with many tattoos. He was practically the opposite of Adanril, didn't hold himself with a gentlemanly manner, had a ruff manner of speech, and was quite rude. "What are you thinking Uncle! Marrying your only son who is supposed to rule are people. I don't thing they would be happy over her being our ruler or having to share or land and traditions with the moon elves..." He spoke with a disgusted look to his face. "What are you thinking nephew?" The king didn't seem pleased when the child burst into his tent without warning. "Why not me? We'll still have a King and they can have their marriage. I wouldn't mind having a beauty with that much power as my wife. Adanril barely looks like a wild on top of that." He drawled annoyed the King didn't pick up on it and ignored Adanril's horrified face. They had never liked each other. |
Her eyes went to the king as she nodded and smiled, lovingly. "Yes, I intend to bring peace to our tribes by blending our traditions and cultures under careful watch of each other." She said as she walked over to Adanril and looked at him before looking over at the, mostly unwated, visitor. Mirial scowled at the man and stepped toward him. "I'm sorry but unless you are a king, queen, or prince, I do not believe you belong here during this discussion of peace." The queen said as she clenched her fists.
The King was pleased with the girls answer but he worried it wouldn't be that easy just for people to drop the feud and bond. It all depended on the young ones relationship and if he knew of their secret love it would change his mind on a lot of things. They might have a chance, could be an example that the two races could bond if they put the feud aside. But the King soon got annoyed with his nephew. Always had to make things difficult.
The man, Merrick, was surprised at the Queens reaction he couldn't help but think she was feisty. An amusing thing to him and only made her seem more, appealing. He gently to her chin in his hand. "If little Adanril gets hurt I'm the next up to inherit the throne, I think that is enough to let me be here. I'm sorry that you seemed not to notice he had no siblings." he said with a sly smile peeling across his lips. Now it was Adanril's turn to intervene, seeing as Merrick's hand on Mirial infuriated him beyond belief. Grabbing his cousins arm he pulled him off the girl and away. "I'm not hurt at the moment and I came up with the peace agreement and I'm willing to marry the Queen. She is willing too, right?" He spoke in a forceful tone that his father actually approved of but looked over at Mirial with gentle eyes. |
She grew stiff at the cousin's touch of her chin and glared at him as he touched her. Mirial held onto Adanril as he pulled her away from the evil man and nodded to his question. "I am willing to marry for peace and to stop this senseless fighting. But know this if you touch me again, sir, I will see to it you are punished." Her eyes on the man as she scowled and held onto her love. The queen wanted out of here and away from that man as fast as she could.
The King looked at his son and the Queen. His eyebrow slowly raised as the young lady held onto his son when she just snapped at his nephew for touching her. It made him soon realize there was something going on between them. With a gentle smile he walked over to his nephew. "Merrick, lets discuss this outside before you cause anymore trouble then you have." he spoke harshly before turning to his son before chuckling and dragging the other out.
"What? I do not approve of this." Merrick snapped. "Doesn't matter. I do." And with that they both left Adanril alone with Mirial. With a slightly shocked look his head swiveled to look down at Mirial before laughing happily. "He knows and approves." he said laughing more before picking the queen up into his arms and kissed her. He was a happy man and wanted to celebrate. He was going to be getting married to the one he loves. It brought him great joy at the thought he would be spending the rest of his life with the women in his arms. |
Mirial looked to the king as he smiled and pulled the evil cousin out of the room. Her eyes went to Adanril and nodded as she smiled while keeping her eyes on him. She kissed him back as she held onto him and rubbed his chest. "I have never been so happy in my life, and it's all because of you." The queen said as she touched his face and nearly started to cry.
Adanril grinned up at Mirial. "It is the same for me, my love. Now don't cry my dear, even if out of tears of joy I can't handle seeing you cry." He spoke softly gently kissing her cheeks as he weaved his fingers through her soft hair and rested the hand against her back. It made him more them happy that she was in his arms now. Thought he would have to wait forever for this.
Her eyes on him as she blushed and nodded before closing her eyes as she felt his lips on her cheek. Mirial rested her head in the crook of his neck as she felt his hand on her back. She pressed her body to his as she blushed and thought of being in his arms forever. The queen and bride-to-be also thought of their wedding night when she could finally be his.
Having his future bride in his arms he walked over to one of the chairs. Before he sat down he quickly adjusted her in his arms so as he sat down she would be in his lap. With a gentle bit strong hold he wrapped his arms around her holding her close as he head rested in the crock of his next. Made feel like he could stay like this forever, all he need was to hold her and his world seemed complete. "How is it being Queen?" he asked.
She looked at him as they walked over to a chair and he set her down in his lap. Mirial blushed at him but soon smiled and closed her eyes in contentment. Her eyes closed as she started to fall asleep. "It feels good and I am glad I'm with you." The queen said before falling asleep.
Adanril chuckled smiling down at Mirial as she fell asleep in his arms. Unwilling to wake her Adanril let her sleep as he gently stroked her hair. It was till his father came in and held the tent flap open to show that it would be getting dark out soon.
With a nod the wild elf slowly stood trying his best not wanting to wake his love. Walking out the tent he looked at her guard. Wouldn't make it through her encampment without the guy and it would be rude of him to wake his Queen. |
Mirial smiled in her sleep as Adanril brushed his hand through her hair and held her as she slept. She started to stir as he stood up and walked out of the tent with her. Her eyes opened slightly and looked up at Adanril with the full moon shining down on him. The queen looked at him and reached up to touch his face as she smiled at him. "You look beautiful in the moonlight." A voice soft with sleep said to him as she looked at him with sleep in her eyes.
Adanril couldn't help but chuckle a little and smile at the queen. He found her absolutely adorable when she was barely awake. "Thank you. Now go back to sleep my dear, we'll have you home in a few minutes." he spoke softly to her not wanting to wake her anymore. Then he turned back to her guards. "If you would lead the way I will bring her back. I just want her to get home safe. Don't you?" he spoke in a hushed voice. Trying to keep a serious and straight face but was distracted by Mirial's hand on his face while she laid defenseless in his arms.
Her eyes closed as she shook her head and looked at him. "I'll sleep when I am in my bed and away from you." Mirial looked and nodded to the guard to let him carry her back. The guards had no choice but to let him into the camp and guide him to her tent. She held onto him and closed her eyes but didn't fall back to sleep.
What Mirial said shocked Adanril. A raised eyebrow in confusion he looked down at her. "Oh, so I keep you from getting sleep?" he asked quietly so she could hear him. Didn't really want the guard apart of their conversation or to learn of their relationship, as he smiled loving how she held on to his body.
She looked up at him and shook her head as she touched his face once again. "No. In fact, I sleep the best when I'm with you. But when I'm with you like this. I want to spend as much time with you, awake, as I can." Mirial said as she moved her hand from his face and just clinged to him instead. Her eyes stayed on him as she tried not to yawn but failed as she closed her eyes and yawned.
"You'll have much more time to be with me. We are getting married remember. I'll be yours every hour and second of the day. Don't worry about staying awake my love." Adanril said softly smiling unable to contain his joy still over the whole marriage thing. Even if they weren't yet just the thought of getting to spend every night like this with her, minus the guard and carrying her, he would be in heaven. Just having to part from her again was upsetting him. He wanted to hold her while he slept, to feel her slender body against his but it would have to wait.
Mirial nodded and looked at him as she smiled as her cheeks filled with blush. "Just the thought of being married to you makes me feel...excited." Her eyes looked at him as she held onto him more and brushed her lips against his neck. "I love you, Adanril." The queen said softly as they walked into the camp and got stared at by the moon elves around them. She scowled at her troops and looked at them. "He is my husband-to-be and your future king, so if you have any objections. I suggest you go home and find a new kingdom to live in." Mirial tugged on Adanril's shirt and pointed to her tent near the center of the camp.
At the statement of husband-to-be one of Adanril's rare blushes stained his cheeks but offered a half smile in greeting to the moon elves before doing what he was told. He rather liked her forcefulness, gave her quite the sexy side, liked a girl with some authority but could still be sweet and adorable. Made him feel rather lucky he got to see that side of her or made it come out. Unable to hold back a laugh he walked into her tent before setting her down on her bed and kissing her not resisting the urge this time. "I never knew you could be so, sexy." he said with a small growl as he nuzzled her neck gently. "Makes my love burn for you even more Queen Mirial." he rather enjoyed letting her title and name roll of his tongue. She had more authority over him but he he new her weaknesses even if it went both ways. He liked the thought.
Her eyes went to him after he set her down on her bed and kissed him back as she smiled. This wasn't the first time he had seen her like this but to be sweet and then forceful...it was like she was bipolar or something. Mirial blushed as she tilted her head for him and pulled him down to her. She looked at him as he said her name like that and ran her hands down his chest. "Thank you, my loving wild one. " The queen said as she pressed her body to his.
