He willingly let himself get pulled down as he laced the soft skin of her neck with loving kisses. "No need to thank me, when you are the one causing it to happen." he spoke softly into her ear as she slowly brought his kisses to her lips. Along with the kiss he wrapped his arms around her only to slowly lower her down onto her bed. He didn't plan on do thing this for long, not when her men knew he was here. Would prefer not having anyone walk in on them.
She moaned softly as she felt his lips on her neck and rubbed the back of his head. "Adanril..." Mirial blushed as she kissed him back and laid down on her bed. Her eyes on him as she rubbed her body against him and touched his face. Shadows appeared around her tent as the guards and troops knew that they were taking too long. "I suppose you should go..." The queen kissed him again and started to push him away, gently.
After the moan Adanril did not want to leave but the shadows really aggravated him, preferred no audience. "Yes, I suppose I should. Stay safe my love." he spoke softly to her before kissing her back and once more on the forehead before allowing his body to be pushed away. Then without looking back he quickly exited her tent hoping to get no trouble from her guards even if he was going to be their new king.
Mirial nodded as she kissed him back and watched him leave her tent. Her eyes on him as the guards followed him to the edge of the camp. "Remember, you're not our king yet..." They said as they stood in front of the queen's tent and waited till he was back at his camp. She sighed and scowled at the shadows around her tent before standing to change for bed. A purple silk gown draped her body as she longed to be married to her Adanril.
"And neither are you my people..." Adanril countered before walking back into the woods and off into his own encampment only to get hit by Merrick square in the jaw. From the sheer force Adanril fell to the ground as a few shouts rang out around him.
"You fool! Why did you agree to marry that, that thing!" Merrick yelled at his cousin furious at what was happening. He had just killed the King, they were in the lead. But no they had to be bent on peace and he had to watch his cousin the best fighter he knew get married off to some disgusting damsel. That was till he felt one of the hardest punches he received in the gut. It sent him sprawling till he was on the ground in incredible pain with a foot placed on his head. "Never speak of their Queen that way! You may of killed their King but do you think they would allow you to touch her... Your little foul trick won't work a gain. You disgraced our people! Having to sneak up on them just to get ahead... We aren't animals!" Adanril roared his voice easily carrying throughout the woods. His men all looked shocked while the one under his foot shook in fear not realizing that his own mean turned on him and now supported Adanril. A man that would rather go down with dignity then win the war with foul tricks. The King was the one to stop the silent commotion while clapping pleased with his son. "Alright everyone. Get some rest we have a wedding to prepare for, you need to meet your Queen, and pack for the journey home." He spoke in excitement. The king loved weddings and was glad to see his son get married off to a fine women. However he worried about his nephew, the man never gave up or accepted defeat. |
A few men stayed around her tent as she closed her eyes and sighed. Mirial laid down on her bed and said his name silently before sitting up at hearing him yell. She looked towards the woods as she laid back down and sighed. Her head now raced with thoughts of what will happen after they are married, to their kingdoms and their family. The moon elf queen closed her eyes and laid on her bed unable to sleep. After a while, she rose from her bed and put on a silk robe over her nightgown and walked out of her tent. Azaril was right there with her.
Adanril had left to his tent to get some much needed sleep, thinking Mirial was safe, asleep and in her tent that was surrounded by her men. So he didn't venture out into the woods this night unlike his cousin Merrick who was furious and still clenching his gut in pain. So when he found a tree to sit against he pulled off his shirt to look at the large red welt on his stomach that would soon turn almost all the colors of the rainbow with a dominating black.
Her eyes closed as she walked with Azaril near the woods where the two lovers met. Mirial saw the figure of a man and smiled as she walked towards the figure. But when she got closer, she saw her future cousin nursing a huge bruise. The queen started to turn back but tripped on a tree and hurt her ankle. Mirial let out a slight cry before clamping her hands over her mouth. 'This isn't good.' She said to herself.
Merrick had not noticed Mirial's presence as he took care of his bruise but once he heard the yelp his had snapped up only to get a big grin on his face. The chance he needed for revenge practically fell into his lap. With a roll of his eyes and a sigh he got up and walked over to her. "You okay?" he asked pretending to be nice as he devised up a scheme in his head.
She looked at the wild one as she scowled and tried to move away. "I'm fine. You're not fooling me....you killed my father..." Mirial tried not to cry as her wounded leg was dragged behind her. The queen wished Adanril would come save her if not she'd have to whistle for Azaril.
"It was war... And you killed quite a few of my men too. Do you really think verbal attacking me would be a good thing when your injured... I already got this massive bruise because of you!" Merrick didn't lose eye contact with the queen as the venom spewed out of his mouth and the rage rose into his eyes. He was going to make this less painful but it didn't seem like it would be possible. Spitting into the ground he walked over to Mirial and practically slammed his foot into her chest. One to hold her down and two to attempt knocking the window out of her so she couldn't scream. "I can't even believe you venture out into the middle of the woods wearing that..." he clicked his tongue against his teeth as he looked down at her nightgown with a shake of his head.
Mirial closed her eyes and scowled at Merrick as he stepped on her chest as she winced. Her hands went to his foot as she attempted to claw at his foot. She whistled and called Azaril over before whispering. "We were in armistice..." The queen said as she tried to keep herself covered and looked at him. "I didn't ask for your permission...loincloth boy."
The word armistice really angered Merrick as he pressed his foot into Mirial's chest even more not fazed by her clawing. Did not compare to his aching bruise. "I didn't hear about it till I got back... It was an armistice that you came up with. Aren't you glad you left your Father so wide open for me... You could blame his death on yourself." Merrick sneered speaking with great disrespect then he let out a hardy laugh before looking down at the queen. "I never knew you were lacking in the intelligence. Do you know how close you are to the wild elves encampment... A guy seeing you wear that I can only begin to image what would happen. Oh and a loincloth is what we usually wear, princess." He was actually having a little fun mocking this girl they called queen, it was a good laugh all in its own.
Her eyes closed as she gasped for air as he stepped her her and clawed harder. Mirial growled at him as he tired to pin her father's death on her. She whistled and reached for a rock to throw at him to get him off of her. "I am not lacking in intelligence, you ignorant animal. I know how close I am to your encampment. I am not afraid because I can defend myself." The queen scowled as she looked at him and growled as Azaril came charging towards them.
Merrick avoided the rock with a smirk only to have his slightly amused air to disappear completely as her pet came charging at him. Being the wild elf he was he quickly grabbed Mirial by the arm using her as a shield between the wolf and him. To make sure she didn't run or attempt anything he twisted her arm behind her back. It surprised him she hadn't been screaming for help yet. "You can defend yourself? More like you need others to do it for you..." he sneared with a laugh.
She gasped as he grabbed her arm and used her to shield himself from Azaril. The white wolf whined and growled at Merrick as he hurt his owner as Mirial screamed when he twisted her arm behind her back. Her eyes closed as he laughed at her. "Adanril!!!" The moon elf screamed at a high pitch as she used her last line of defense. "At least I don't hide behind others, you coward!" Mirial started to cry as he made her stand on her wounded ankle.
The scream woke Adanril instantly along with a few others. So when he ran out of his tent many stared and watched wondering what was going on. Not typical a girl would scream like that and none of them suspected it to be the Queen of the moon elves. Only Adanril knew that and he was freaking out in rage and fear.
Merrick let go of the girl when she screamed wanting to cover his ears. Now he regretted even thinking about why she didn't. In a full rage he yelled at Mirial with his arms swinging around to hit her. "I at least don't use others to defend myself!" And those were his last words till Adanril slammed his cousin into a tree. This time though the two easily broke out into a fight, Adanril had the upper hand seeing as Merrick was injured and he had been threatening Mirial. But his cousin wasn't that bad of a fighter, his stubbornness made him a worthy opponent. There was sickening sounds of fists making contact with flesh and one or two bones breaking, either way it did stop either of them. Merrick with the clawed foot, bruised stomach and Adanril with the bruised cheek. |
Mirial fell back to the ground as she looked at Merrick with a frightened look on her face. Her eyes closed as she saw his hands coming to hit her before hearing the crunch a tree. She looked up and saw Adanril fighting his cousin but could only lay there with her injured ankle and shaking with cold and fear. The queen looked at Adanril and cried as she didn't want him to get hurt because of her. "Please, stop them!" Mirial begged his troops that came to her side.
Eredor, Adanril's childhood friend was the one that helped Mirial up. "We'll see what we can do. Adanril isn't only the heir to the throne for his bloodline and intellect." he spoke to the queen in a gentle and reassuring voice. Most of the men were use to the fighting so they weren't that bothered. They would of been if they knew the relationship the queen and their prince had. Just thought their future King was being an honorable man, save the girl and take care of the culprit.
Soon enough the two were pulled apart Adanril with two men practically on top of his using their body weight to slow him down and Merrick just had one guy pulling him back. Merrick looked defeated and miserable. While Adanril was still furious till he looked over at Mirial and the weight of his men affected him causing him to fall to his knees. |
Her eyes went to the soldier that stood her up as she cried and shook. Mirial looked away from the fight and closed her eyes but looked back as the sounds of the fight stopped. She looked over at Adanril and wanted to run to him but her wounded ankle prevented her from moving. The queen's blue eyes were starting to turn red from her crying. "Adanril..." Mirial said softly, as she ignored the man who tried to stike her.
Adanril shook of his men as he walked over to Mirial and to everyone's surprise he wrapped his arms around the frail girls body. "I'm sorry..." his voice was layered thick with misery. He allowed Mirial to get hurt again and by his own family member. He did not feel at all like he should be able to marry her.
His men got a hold of Merrick while watching what was going on before them. We would only think there would be more hostility between the queen and their prince. Believed they agreed to the marriage only for the peace treaty. |
She hugged him back as she closed her eyes and rested her head in his neck. "It's my fault...I was coming to see you and he was near where we first met..." Mirial said softly as she held onto him tighter. Her eyes shed more tears as she kept her wounded foot off the ground. The queen still loved Adanril and wanted to do nothing to ruin it.
Adanril held his love in his arms tightly as he rested his head on her cheek as she spoke listening to her explanation. The guilt was still there and it didn't easily go. He could not forgive what happened no matter how much she explained it wasn't his fault. Then with a sigh he slowly pulled himself away to look over Mirial's body. Needed to inspect her for any injuries and take in the sight of her, nightgown. "Mirial..." Adanril spoke in a horrified voice as he realized he foot was injured. He was about to sweep her off her feet before he was stopped.
"Adanril you needed to worry about your own injuries too." Eredor warned his friend before looking over at the queen with a pleading look to stop the prince. "I can take care of the Queen." he tried reassuring Adanril who only gave him a threatening glare that slowly faded. The prince could never stay angry at Eredor but he didn't want to leave Mirial. |
Mirial looked at Adanril as he was about to pick her up and looked at the other wild one. "Listen to him, Adanril. I'll be fine...it's only a sprained ankle." Her sides also hurt when she breathed so she may have a broken rib or two from Merrick's foot pressing down on her cheek. The right arm of the queen also hang limp so it was out of it's socket. There was a bruise forming on her chest from his foot and her ankle was starting to swell. "You can follow us to the medic and be treated right next to me, okay? I'll be fine but I want you to be treated as well."
Adanril huffed in protest but listened to Mirial trying his best not to whisk her off her feet and take her away. He wasn't blind, could tell something was off with her ribs, her right arm, and the fact a bruise was forming on her chest. Without knowing it he blamed every wound she had on himself. Even though he was in horrible shape himself, bloody, bruised with a few fractured and maybe broken bones. He was use to them though so the pain didn't register, especially when Mirial was hurt. She was top priority in his mind.
Eredor picked up Mirial with Adanril's strict direction so she was sitting up in the smaller yet dark skinned wild elves arms. Then followed Adanril as he stormed off to Mirial's encampment. Though one things was perplexing the male and he had to ask. "What do you see in him?" he looked over at the queen as he spoke taking gentle steps so her pain would increase. |
