Luke huffed, refusing to answer that question though he was. He looked at the picture surprised. He pulled out the same picture out of his back pocket.
Jessica smiled softly. "There's no reason to be jealous of them when I've only been thinking about you." She said with a blush and touched his cheek with her hand.
Luke set the pictures down on the bed and leaned into her, kissing her. Though he couldn't help but be jealous.
Jessica kissed him back. She couldn't help but smile and do a little dance in her head. He loved her enough to be jealous. With that knowledge, she deepened the kiss.
Luke sighed pulling away. He loved Jessica, but it felt wrong when he had a fiance. Once they ran away technically he wouldn't have one so he'd do whatever with Jessica. But even messed up from drugs he didn't want to do it.
Jessica saw the look in his eyes and understood. She pulled away and kissed his cheek like she had when they were kids. "Let's get some sleep, Luke." She said with a slight smile, even if it did hurt a little. "At this rate, a week might be too long to wait." She muttered as she gathered pajamas to go change into.
Luke just nodded quietly. He went to his side and layed down after taking off his shoes. He didn't know what he was going to do. This was more complicated than he had imagined.
Jessica brushed and braided her hair, brushed her teeth and changed into a pajama tank top and shorts. Sighing, she went and laid down on her side of the bed under the covers, careful to keep the distance between the two of them although it hurt to do so. Today had both its good and bad points, his fiance was definitely a bad point.
Luke woke up to his cell phone ringing. Feeling the need to smoke, he went out to the balcony and answered the phone while he started. Ofcourse, it was his fiance worrying about him. He lied and hung up.
Jessica woke up and rolled over sighing when he got out of bed. She got up quietly, grabbed her pillow and a blanket from the linen closet, and headed to the living room. Sitting down on the couch, she turned on the t.v. and grabbed her homework from her bag, before opening the door slightly to grab the notes from the classes she had missed and a box of chocolates. Jessica stared at the chocolates and sat them on the counter, before heading to the couch to start her homework.
Luke smoked and then sniffed white powder in the bathroom.... Then was he really messed up and high. He stumbled into the living room and grabbed her face, kissing her on the mouth sloppily.
Jessica knew something was up and pushed him away. "Luke, what the hell is the matter with you?" She asked dropping her homework and debating whether or not to hit him. "If this is a joke, I swear I'll kill you." Jessica warned.
Luke fell over and began to laugh. His vision blurred and he made a funny face. "Too many colors...."
Jessica grabbed the phone and called one of her brother's who was a doctor and told him to come over. Kneeling next to him, she sighed. "Luke...why didn't you tell me? I have a doctor on the way, okay?" She said gently.
Luke looked at her and saw a puppy. He began to pet her. "Niccce puppy. Luke take good care of puppy."
Jessica sighed. "I'm not a puppy, Luke. I'm Jessica." A knock on the door pulled her away from him. Her brother walked in and she pointed to where Luke was. "I don't know what happened. He was fine and smoking a cigarette and the next thing I know he thinks I'm a puppy." Her brother sighed and knelt next to Luke. "Luke, I'm Jessica's brother, Eric. I'm going to try to help you, because you are oh so very high."
"Woof woof!" Luke barked after her. He slowly began to sit up but then another face came into view. He narrowed his eyes. "The dogs mine!"
Eric raised his eyebrow. "Say my sister's a dog again and I'll stick a needle in your jugular." He warned Luke and pulled him into a sitting position. He pulled out a needle and began filling it. Jessica yelped and went to stop him. "Jessica this is a detox. It'll help him sober up some. Start coffee." He ordered as he went to inject the detox into Luke's system.
Luke laughed again and limply moved with Eric's nudges. He grimaced at the needle. "Is that the drug I ordered?" He whispered loudly.
Eric injected hard into Luke's biceps and waited for it to take effect. "Jessica, when Roger told you to bring Luke to lunch he wasn't talking about drugged up Luke." Jessica glared at him. "Leave him alone Eric, he's probably not proud of it. And I'm just happy he's back."
Luke passed out after the injection. It had done more that made him sober. It'd made him pass out.
Jessica looked over and yelped. "Eric! What did you do?" She asked looking up at her brother after rushing to Luke. Eric shrugged. "I may have given him more than necessary." Jessica glared at him and knelt beside Luke. "Luke can you hear me? Please wake up." She said pleading.
Luke could hear her, but he couldn't wake up. The drugs were too strong, as well as the stuff he'd been injected with.
Eric was getting concerned and gently pushed Jessica away. "Jessica do me a favor and go to the bathroom? Try to find any trace of anything that wasn't there earlier." Jessica hurried away and Eric bent over Luke. He felt his pulse. Pulling open his bag, he pulled out a small vial. If he was right, this was the antitoxin to prove it. Jessica found a small trace of white powder and brought a bit to Eric. Eric did a quick test and sighed. "Tip his head back, Jessica." Jessica did and Eric opened Luke's mouth, then he tipped the vial's contents in. "Please work. Please work." Jessica prayed.
After Luke swallowed whatever was in the vial he did wake up. But slowly. His eyes opened just a crack and then fluttered open the rest of the way. He groaned, his body aching.
