Jake nodded "its is a bit odd, but then again... atleast you have a power, its said all merpeople have powers... i don't, i sometimes think that mabey... mabey im not a real merman... mabey im a fake" he said and he stopped swimming and he let himself float onto a rock below

"I'm not technically a mermaid, so i don't count. But I've met a few that have no powers." She shrugged. "Oh well, I'd give them up if I had a good reason to."

Jake thought for a moment then he smiled "i was told i do have a power... its just one day, when the time is right, it will be ravealed, or so the crazy person i saw said"

"Well, maybe it's a spiffy power then," she mused, cheerfully. "Not like turning into an otter. Though I'm a cute otter. Or so I'm told. All otters are cute to me, so I can't judge." She giggled at that.

Jake chuckled "its probably not, just be able to like... run away or something like that" he chuckled a bit more "your power is great, you can fool hunter by looking like a otter and not a mermaid"

"I draw people though, because my power gives off a burst of green light as I change. So it's like a beacon.But, I can also turn into a human-looking creature--more like a 'demon' though-- so it works sometimes." She fiddled with her hair, which was slowly floating into her face.

Jake chuckled and then he swam closer "i think your amazing" when he realised how close he was he quickly swam backwards "i...im sorry... i didn't m...mean to get so close" he said and then he looked away

"You're not the first person," she stated. She then perked up, smelling someone else. She paused, looking out to see who it was, curious. She looked utterly harmless.

Jake chuckled "ok then" he then saw he perk up "what is it?" he asked as he looked around for whatever had made her look so curious "is someone there?" he asked as he hid behind her

"I smell something," she responded. She then swam out a bit, only to become nose to nose with a baby shark. She stayed still, knowing it could still hurt her. It didn't though. It just started bumping it's nose into her, making her giggle. "Eeep. Hello, Sharky. Why are you here? Where's your mama?" she asked it, while petting it, even though she knew it wouldn't answer.

Jake saw the baby shark and he hid behind a rock and he peered his head through some reeds to watch them "what are you doing?" he whispered to her "get out of there"

"Why?" she asked. "I can easily become a larger shark if it attacks me, but he...or she, seems harmless," she noted, before the shark nosed her again, knocking her over. She squealed, flailing. "Ack! I dun wanna play with yooou now, Sharky." She seemed amused by the shark's harmless antics.

Jake stayed behind the rock and watched as she played with the shark "i still don't trust it, i have never trusted sharks" he said as he put his head behind the rock

"I'm naive. I admit it, and it's prob'ly a bad thing, but I dun care." She patted the shark. "I know what I can do, so why should I be frightened?"

Jake chuckled "im not saying you should, but ive learnt not to trust anyone or anything" he said from behind the rock
|
"I should be like that, but I, for how little I am, am quite strong. And fast." She finally righted herself and flailed at the shark again. "Nuuu. I said nuuu." She pouted cutely at it, and it seemed to realize she wasn't going to play and swam past her over to Jake and started nosing him instead.

Jake felt the shark and a wave of terror past over him "AHHHHHHH!" shot away like a bullet and hid behind her "its going to eat me!" he said as he started to shake "please... if your strong, don't let it eat me!"

Wavamin stared at him. "It's not going to eat you. Just bother you to play." The shark indeed just wanted to play and nosed her more. She then paused again as a dark shape flew past the opening. She raised an eyebrow. "...That had better not be the shark's mama." She carefully headed to the opening.

Jake began to shiver as he watched her move to the opening "b...be careful" he said and then followed her

Wavamin suddenly rears up, hissing. She seems to be proving her dominance. A merman approached her slowly, his head down in a submissive pose. Wavamin stares at him for a moment before jumping on him. "Cass-Cass!" she squealed. "I'm sorry for spazzing."

Jake hid in her cave, he was one that was what you would call a scardy cat, he peeke out and watched them both talking

The one she called Cass-Cass looked up at Jake. When he did it could be seen that he was blind. "It's fine, Wavamin, you couldn't have known who I was. And I expected it. It's not like you actually attacked me." He chuckled, amused. "Who is your friend, Minnie?" Wavamin swam in happy circles around the merman. "This is Jake. Jake, this is Cassiel." She seemed happy about seeing the new merman.

Jake swam a bit closer to Cassiel "ummm... h.. hello Cassiel" he said as he moved into arms reach and he held out his hand, but then he looked at his face and put his arm down "y... your blind?... h... how did it h... happen?"

"I was born this way, I'm also albino." He waved back, almost as if he could still see. Wavamin watched, amused. She knew how creepy Cassiel could seem, with his ability to seem to know everything. She danced around him. "Why're you here, anyway, Cass?"

Jake was starting to be a little freaked out "so... how do you know where things are? do you have a seceret pair of eyes? or is it by motion?"
