(Not stressful! Just..Hot and annoying >.> I mean..it's pictures...He can't take them himself? Yeesh..."You're the photographer" "IT'S AUTOPARTS! SHINY METAL THINGS THAT GO IN MOTORCYCLES AND PLANES AND OLD CARS!" But..whatev's ^^ How is your day, though?) Var quirked a brow. "What...Doesn't feel nice? That I may get hurt, or that what I did was nice? If you don't want me to do nice things for you, then fine, I won't.....and how can I surprise you and make you pleased if I have to go out with you? That defeats the purpose of it all.." And he continued, arms going at his hips. "Besides! Kaudron was with me." Thought she was small, and probably wouldn't have been able to help if something did happen. He looked down at the necklace, touching the yellow gem. "I don't want this." He reached behind him and unclasped it. "It's for you..You like shiny things..So, I got you something shiny that reminded me of you." |
(D:
Mines been relatively empty. In in the laundry room with a friend. XD) Nin just watched him, listening to him ramble. He was starting to look more alive, not quite as tired as he had been. The water beckoned. He needed to rest. A soft sigh escaped him, in any case. "When you venture to far away, it causes me pain. I connect myself to you so I know where you are, so I can protect you. I appreciate the gesture," He took the necklace. "...You frighten me when you go to far, Var. I don't want you hurt. Or Kaudron. What would you have done if she'd been stepped on, or smooshed?" |
(Ah, I see. Ah, college laundry room stories. -stares off into space- Lol jk. My sister told me one, is why I said that. Something about a girl taking all of the washers, and so someone stole all her clothes...) Var looked down in shame, nudging at the dirt on the ground. He wouldn't know what to do if Kaudron was smooshed..."You're right..I'm sorry. I won't go again without asking, I promise.." He looked up with large, glassy eyes, sparkling and begging to be forgiven. He opened his arms, as if wishing a hug, a usual conflict closer back in Seelie lands with his friends. |
(o.O Oh my goodness! XD)
There was obvious conflict, as Nin listened and watched the strange gesture. He tucked his hands into the pockets of his PJ pants, and sighed softly, before looking up at the mid-morning sky. "...It's all right." One left his pants, then went to rub Var's shoulder. Not pet, or pat, but rub it, before he moved back towards the river. "I'm going to put these away and do some things...then we'll go and get you something to eat." Kaudron peeked back into Var's vision, and giggled in his ear. "He likes you!" |
It wasn't the hug he was looking for, so he walked forward quickly and tucked his arms around him from behind, pressing his face into the middle of his back. He breathed in his mossy scent, and breathed out with a gentle moan, before letting go. "Ok. Take your time to relax and feel better. And don't you dare put those pretties on the floor!" |
Kaudron and Nin both shared the same baffled look at the strange moan, before Nin nodded and mumbled something about a nap. He was gone into the water very quickly, looking uncomfortable.
Kaudron, however, burst into about a bajillion questions. "Did you just moan? About Nin? Because he smells good? And into his back? And he didn't hit you? Oh my goodness, what all did you two do last night!" |
Var waved at him as he entered the water, and was just about to sit down on a rock and relax, then Kaudron bursted with words and asked so many questions. He held his head as he tried to process them all, as well as think of answers. "It wasn't a moan, it was a happy sigh." he began, blushing wildly. "And I rather like his mossy wet smell. Sometimes it's unbearable, but right then it was really nice and fresh." Var sat down on the rock and sighed, picking at his fur. "We didn't do anything...He just read all night while I had a nightmare." |
"You so made a sexy noise," she cackled like a tiny, little old bitty, wriggling in the air. "Oh my goodness that's hilarious. You've got hotsies for the Sir! Wait til the sisters hear." She then sat promptly on his chest and crossed her legs. "Nightmare?"
|
"Hotsies?" he repeated, giving her the oddest looks. He blushed more at that and grumbled, looking away. "I don't have the "hotsies"...and don't tell them anything!" He didn't want to be laughed at. At the question of his nightmare, he looked over at her, and sighed. "I was drowning..and you are nin were watching. He looked so mean and cruel, but you were laughing." It hurt him to remember... |
She frowned deeply, tilting her head. "I'd never just let him drown you, Var. I promise. Okay?" A gentle sway. "And maybe if you catch him on a good day...you can convince him. Maybe he'll like you lots right back and stuff. He needs a good partner, goodness knows."
|
He wanted to believe her, but he wasn't so sure. If her sir wished it, then it'd have to be done, wouldn't it? He pouted softly, putting his hands over his face. "But it was so scary...I could literally feel it happening..And he just watched....Looking so cruel..Maybe it foreshadows that should happen to me?!" Var exclaimed, looking at the fairy. The boy shook his head with a sigh. "I'll never find him in a good mood...He's always mopey....What should I do at Dinner tonight? What more can I do to make him happy? The shiny backfired, after all..." |
"I dont think so," she nuzzled him happily. "He put it on you, he shared something that's his!"
A little sigh shook her as well, though, and she tapped tiny fingers to her little lips. "...You should do what those humans do, when they get angry at each other." |
Var looked at her, head tilting to the side and was almost flat. "What do humans do when they are angry with each other?" If it's something they do when they are angry, he wasn't sure if he wanted to do it. He didn't want to be angry, he wanted to be happy. But, he was going to wait and see what she had to say, perhaps she had a really good plan? she did know more than him, after all. |
"Well," she tapped her chin. "They make all these funny noises, and get super, awful close to one another. Roll around in the grass and stuff, and try to eat each other's tongue." She shrugged, flittering over to sit in his lap and look up at the sky. "Tryin' to think of what else they do. But whatever it is, Nin watches sometimes. Then he gets really strange after, and goes back into the river. He doesn't come out for anything, for a while..."
|
Var looked into the sky as well, trying to picture it. He blinked and snapped hsi head down to look at her suddenly, red face. "Eat each other's tongues?!" he repeated, gawking. That sounded painful. The boy sucked in his lower lip in thought. Get close and make weird, noises, huh? "Oh, you mean like the one I made when I hugged him? The.....What did you call it? Moan?" Sounded easy enough. He wondered what Nin does when he sees that. Perhaps he should go down, and if he awake, he'd ask. |
"Just like it!" She nodded. "And I mean like. They're all bleheheghee," she waggled her tongue around, and waved her arms around in the air. "But only less small. You know?" Her eyes turned back up to him, and she smiled brightly. "Maybe he'll like it? I think it's called wrestling."
|
(God, I love her XD "Uh-Duh!" "Dumb Bunny" "bleheheghee") Var tossed his head back in laughter, thinking she looked ridiculous. "Surely you are exaggerating!" Shaking his head, he poked her in the tummy with his pinky finger. "Wrestling. I'll talk to Nin about it at dinner, then." Var looked out into the water and giggled. He was getting excited again about doing yet another thing to try and make Nin happy. |
(She's hilarious. She's a mama-sister figure i can be a dork with. <:
And she makes silly noises!) She 'oomph'ed and wiggled around in a huff, before looking back up at him. Another little smile came about her, and she hugged one of her knees to her chest, before glancing at the water as well. He was happy, and Nin would be happy too, dang it. Goodness knows he needs to be happy, sometimes, she thought. Maybe Var would be his saving grace. Or his bane. Both would be sufficiently humorous. |
The day went on rather quickly, and Var was running around the forest playing with the little fairies and dancing and picking flowers. It was like home again, but with new friends. The sun was setting, and he relaxed near the water, waiting for dinner. "I wish you weren't so small so we could play dress up." he said randomly, picking at a flower in his hair. |
Eventually he came from the water as the horse, but shed the appearance as soon as he was free of the river. As he shook his hair, pearls of water sprinkled across the grass. "Are you hungry?"
Kaudron scampered away when he surfaced, going to find the girls and talk to them about what was going to happen. |
Var stood up quickly when he Nin grace them with his presence, and he nervously watched Kaudron flutter away, leaving him on his own with the large and scary Kelpie. He smiled and bobbed his head in a fast nod and swayed side to side. "I'm very hungry!" he answered, taking his hand and tugging eagerly. Var planned to spring the question on him whenever they were sitting at the table. |
The man let him tug, and followed along after him. "We need to go to the tree so I can get my wallet first." He'd need to pickpocket while they were out tonight after dinner, too. The theater was a good choice, he'd take him there after.
He thought back for a moment to the cavern, and for a moment imagine getting a bed down there for little Var. Then imagined sharing one, shook his head, and cleared his throat. "What would you like tonight?" |
Taking a sharp turn, he headed to the said tree, giggling and skipping as best he could. Once they made it to the tree, the unicorn boy turned and plopped down onto the ground in wait, rubbing the grass absent mindedly. Aw, hell, he couldn't hold it. "You know, Kaudron said something funny to me." he began, dismissing the question on food. He scratched at his cheek as he formed his question, looking off to the side suspiciously. He smiled as innocent as he could, which was pretty easy, and looked up. "She said that you sometimes watch humans wrestling in the grass. What is that and why do they do it.?" |
Nin dropped his wallet.
He sputtered for a moment, fumbling with the object in the air before it went sailing across the grass. There was a moment he stared after it, before shuffling over rather awkwardly to pick it up. A soft cough. "Wrestle in the grass? No...well, they do, and sometimes to close to my river." He moved back, glamouring the hole and turning to walk away quickly. "Come on." |
Fuzzy silver brows furrowed and the equine stood, skittering after him and moving past, walking backwards in front of him. "You're not answering my question." he pointed out, stopping dead and holding out his hands in a halt. Nin's reaction to the question was very odd, and he needed to know why. "I wanna learn to wrestle!" Var huffed his signature huff, hands going to his hips, not budging until Nin answered! |
