It is very painful. I was crushed after my last romance. But the happiness I felt while in it was the best I've ever experienced, and I want to feel that again, even if I have to deal with the pain.

Mmm, there is a difference between being emotionally close and being clingy. Wanting to talk, even it is just for 2 minutes, every day, isn't really being clingy. Wanting to spend all of his free time with you? Yeah, that's pretty damn clingy.

I would go months without talking to my girlfriend, and I let her have that time and space away from me, but it usually ended up in failure when she did return, not really wanting to talk about my past experiences right now though.

But yeah, I give lots of space, but I do show my affection strongly. :0
