Right now I have a brand new Dell desktop, and I am getting a second monitor from the college for it. Yay for being a geek who likes to use 2 monitors.

Honestly, I hate working with just one monitor.

Inso: They are making my mom pay $350 to replace the battery. I was pissed, but she is being passive about it. I think Apple is full of horse poo, but that's just my opinion. Plus, apparently my screen is dying. I laughed. I bought my laptop when I started College in August 2008, and by November 2009 the battery blew up XD

Well yeah, you overheat the laptop due to a melting battery and it's very likely it's also going to mess up the screen. I'd hate for your mom to cover the costs of apple being their douchey selves. My iPhone is paid for by work, otherwise the only apple products I'd pay for are iPods. My iPod classic is awesomeness :D

Coconut cake with a pineapple curd filling and white chocolate coconut frosting with toasted coconut on top to finish it off! It's AMAZING!

All homemade too. The cake takes hours to make, but it's sooooo good :drool:

My step-mom makes cakes, xD; Margo Smith's Cake Creations is the website she has now.

Aww man I have a Vaio laptop that I dropped in 2007, making the screen crack. It's still useable though but I have to plug an external monitor into it.

I <3 my Vaio ;_;

You can always replace the screen for around $300. It takes about half an hour to do yourself. It's really quite a simple process.

Inso: I will never by a Mac again. $3000CAN just to fail after a year is not worth it. Also, like you said, the iPods are awesome. I have put my touch through hell and back and its still working beautifully. Well, 95% of the time. Sometimes it craps out and doesn't update, however. Then I have to leave it plugged in and to a system reset on it. Pain in the ass considering the amount of music I have, but worth it in the end.

For-Chan Cookie 08-26-2010 10:15 AM

@Zaza - Nice :D

Marguerite Blakeney 08-26-2010 10:16 AM

Zazzy: OMG she works with fondant?! <33333

Inso: Really? It's an old model, like 2002-2003ish. Where can I find replacement stuff?

Kiako 08-26-2010 10:16 AM

I think Zaza I might do some simple redesigning of the site >.>

dragonjake 08-26-2010 10:16 AM

CAKE! :drool: i think i need to have some breakfast.... or mabey lunch

Marguerite Blakeney 08-26-2010 10:16 AM

I can't have cake anymore. ;_;

Kiako 08-26-2010 10:17 AM

Why can you eat Cake, MarMar?

For-Chan Cookie 08-26-2010 10:17 AM

@Kiako - It's better than many small home business's websites. The bakery we got my birthday cake from this year has the ugliest fugliest least professional website ever.

Yeah, if the touch is anything like my iphone I can see some real oddities happening. My iPod still gets me around 20 hours of play time after three years of usage. I've had the things since the gen 1's and have never been disappointed.

Kiako 08-26-2010 10:18 AM

Cookie: Considering I designed it the first time around... XD :rofl:

Marguerite Blakeney 08-26-2010 10:18 AM

Kiako: That's a secret to be left untold till New Year's or Valentine's Day.

Zazzy: GO POST YOUR MOM'S CAKE LINK IN MY SERVANTLESS COOKS THREAD, PLEASE!

zazabar 08-26-2010 10:19 AM

Marg, link me to the thread? Hehe. And yeah, she uses fondant and a lot of other techniques. She is going to learn chocolate sculpting next, so it should be interesting.

Whats the model number? Might not be worth it for a 02/03 model. Factor in the battery life it has and you may be able to replace it with something comparable for the cost of parts.

Kiako 08-26-2010 10:19 AM

Inso: Good ol' 1st gens, eh? I have had mine for a few years now. Sairen is my baby *huggles over priced music listening device*

dragonjake 08-26-2010 10:20 AM

i love cakes :drool: some of them i don't like though

For-Chan Cookie 08-26-2010 10:21 AM

@Kiako - Cool. :D Does Kiako use a program or just write it out?

zazabar 08-26-2010 10:21 AM

@Cookie
I code in notepad. Kiako hates me so much for it! XD

Insomniac 08-26-2010 10:22 AM

Cookie, there is a thread with 25 votes. You're falling behind missy ;)

For-Chan Cookie 08-26-2010 10:22 AM

I code in notepad too. Though I do mostly basic html with a dash of CSS. I'm not a master coder.

I know Inso! I blame my votes disappearing >_>

Besides, it's hard to be selfish and ask for votes when you're going head to head with altruism! How can I win?!

Kiako 08-26-2010 10:22 AM
