I used to be fascinated with them when I was a kid. Just never ate them...for obvious reasons, I discovered.

Amane 06-07-2016 06:43 PM

I've always not liked them because they don't move unless you try to kill them, which I'm not brave enough to do.

TaiyoTsuki 06-07-2016 06:45 PM

I'd like to go out to the front porch in the summer-autumn when they were all congregating and catch them and let them crawl all over my hands. I played with bugs a lot >>

Amane 06-07-2016 06:51 PM

*horrified screaming*

TaiyoTsuki 06-07-2016 07:12 PM

Yeaaahhh...I was the weird kid. I also liked digging up worms and watching them crawl around.

Amane 06-07-2016 07:21 PM

Oh my goodness. See, I was always scared of things, and I didn't like touching things I didn't consider mine. Sometimes I'd reach out to things that made me curious, and I'd think, "Should I touch it? Can I touch it? No, I shouldn't. I won't."

TaiyoTsuki 06-07-2016 07:48 PM

Oh my. Did you ever get over it?

Amane 06-07-2016 07:56 PM

Not completely. I'm still scared of everything. I'm very careful with things that aren't mine. I know how much I care about my things. Leave it how you found it!

TaiyoTsuki 06-07-2016 08:01 PM

That seems completely opposite from what we see online [XD].

Amane 06-07-2016 08:02 PM

I know, right? [rofl]

The Wandering Poet 06-08-2016 05:33 PM

Amane that's a good mindset ^^
But wouldn't that make it harder to work as a team later in life?

Though at work we do keep a portion of that "leave it the way it was", because we have our own desks and sometimes have to use someone else's

TaiyoTsuki 06-08-2016 07:19 PM

If it's not mine, if I use something I try to make sure it stays basically as it was beforehand. If not, well...let's just say my desk is an example of chaos.

Amane 06-09-2016 10:03 PM

A super intense respect for people's things makes it hard to work as a team?

The Wandering Poet 06-09-2016 10:47 PM

Not too much, just that in some jobs you are very often using other people's things and if you're too busy putting it exactly how it was, you'll never get anything done.

Amane 06-09-2016 11:37 PM

Oh, I'm a horrible perfectionist. I'm used to being unacceptably late.

The Wandering Poet 06-10-2016 03:59 AM

A late perfectionist? How....?

I don't know. it was shattered into squishy flopping pieces all over my car.

The Wandering Poet 06-11-2016 03:08 AM

I see. It wouldn't be able to make much of a mess if it were a small one ^^

Ingenuity 06-11-2016 11:52 AM

Hello everyone, I'm a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars and Stargate SG-1 and I'm fascinated by the subject of astronomy. Can I join this hangout please?

The Wandering Poet 06-11-2016 03:57 PM

Sure thing ^^
I see no reason why not.

Shadami 06-12-2016 08:26 PM

of course you may ingenuity. ^-^ and welcome!!

TaiyoTsuki 06-14-2016 06:50 PM

@ Ingenuity: Of course! Welcome to the Space Station! We accept all sorts of sci-fi and science here ^^

midgetGoddess 06-19-2016 07:35 PM

Space? I saw space. SPACE?! *raises hand* Space Cadet Midget reporting for duty! (Anyway...hello. I like space. How is everyone?)

Yes. That would be me. I appreciate the accuracy. (Neil Degrasse Tyson is my patron Scientist.) I can't do the mathematics for anything space related but I love learning about it. Galaxies, blackholes, quasars, space and time's relationship. The mere thought that I am comprised of the same compounds found in stars? It fascinates me to no end.
