Yay! Congrats!

I still have no idea what is going on since I didn't go into the event thread. I stayed in GrannyJ's event thread and the come chat thread. That was it. XD

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 03:21 AM

Our ghostie is going to turn into a pain before long......again.

Disclaimer: Some things I type within this thread may or may not, in fact, be fiction.

What? I missed the ghost episode already? Oh bother.

Did you know that celery is a secret assassination weapon? It actually dehydrates you, and I heard from some odd Earthling that you call celery victims "Mummies". Strange word, don't you think? Isn't that what you also call females who hatch you?

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 03:40 AM

...huh? And you're probably thinking "mommies", not "mummies." And we don't hatch our kids. We give birth to them. THink of it like trying to crap a watermelon out of a lemon-sized hole.

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 04:13 AM

*munching on celery* Oh? ...Hm. >.> Well. I've been drinking enough tea lately anyway. *continues munching*

Ick. I don't wanna imagine that, Chief! :gonk:

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 04:19 AM

That's just what I've heard. I'm still a virgin, so I've got no idea what having a kid is like.

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 04:50 AM

lol same, but it's still not an image I wanna think about. I hear it's ridiculously painful. >.<

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 05:47 AM

Neither would i...

And what's NaNoWriMo?

Alex Meriweather 11-07-2010 08:42 AM

Hello there. Sad the ghost wasn't found before Hallowe'en was over, though congrats to HappyStarr.

Mind if I continue hanging around over here?

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 10:11 AM

Sure, go ahead!

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 06:21 PM

lol thanks.

Totally! Stick around and join us! We'd love to have you here! :D

MintyRey 11-07-2010 06:31 PM

Nuuuuuuu!!!! I missed the ghost!!! :gonk:

But CONGRATS HappyStarr!!! :boogie::glomp:

And NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. Or so I've heard....
You get the choice of slaving away on a 50,000 word story before the end of November :D

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 06:33 PM

hehe thanks!

Ya. 50k words in a month. I'm probably going to fail this one and try again for reals in July. ;)

MintyRey 11-07-2010 06:41 PM

I'll just have the space station's computer do it for me :XD They still do NaNoWriMo in July?

Gotta go buy some stuff. Be back later :)

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 08:28 PM

Sounds like NaNoWriMo would be my key to getting a book finished at last. And published too!

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 09:25 PM

Totally! They offer self publishing for people who do finish, though I haven't met anyone who's actually taken them up on the offer yet (I'm sure there are tons, I just haven't met them. xD )

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 09:50 PM

Nice. I'll try it in the summer when I've got a crapload of free time.

Alex Meriweather 11-07-2010 10:53 PM

NaNo is great for motivation, definitely. Not for terribly much else, but that's why December is unofficially "National Novel Editing Month".

Also, they do have a lot of cool charity stuff, like getting kids into writing and writing workshops.

MintyRey 11-07-2010 11:58 PM

Is NaNoWriMo only in the U.S.?

TaiyoTsuki 11-08-2010 12:16 AM

This is the first time I've heard of it, so I wouldn't know.

HappyStarr 11-08-2010 12:49 AM

Nope. It's over the internet, so IT KNOWS NO BOUNDS! We could even participate in space. ;) Officially, there are "Region" forums for...I think every location registered on the site. Definitely within every continent.

TaiyoTsuki 11-08-2010 01:12 AM

In other words, it's international. But is it interplanetary?

HappyStarr 11-08-2010 01:19 AM

Not yet. I'm sure they'd be willing to extend it if other planets and space stations showed interest and were willing to donate to the cause. ;)

MintyRey 11-08-2010 01:20 AM

I think they'd have a blast translating all those languages :) Unless all submissions have to be in English? :/

TaiyoTsuki 11-08-2010 01:22 AM

@ Starr: Sadly, none have yet. Should we be the first? Then again, we're orbiting the Earth, so I'm not sure if we'd count...

@ Minty: Either that or it'd be the biggest pain in the ass in existance. Imagine trying to translate someting written in Vulcan to English!
