I'm surprised no one has made a topic about it yet. Kind of curious as to how people feel about it all [since the announcement seems like it's more Q&A/FAQ than discussion]. Also, has anyone felt inspired with a prize that is not strictly Mene-ish involved? What kind of threads have you all been making in the hopes of winning? Or is it more about getting people active in the forums for you?

Personally, I'm kind of torn about the idea right now. I like the fact that it will probably get people more active and interested in posting... But I'm afraid that once the contest is over, things will lull back to what it is now/during non-event times. Since the whole contest is so fresh, I guess we'll just have to wait to see the results.

I made a thread, but truth is I planned to do so anyways. This just gave me the push to actually do it xP

Well I agree that it feels very much like an 'event' to me. People will come while its going on and then probably leave again afterwards. What it might do is get people to join Mene who previously hadn't. I think what's more likely to up the post count is the fact that the mods upped the gold maximum for each post. I always thought it was a little odd that it capped at twenty no matter how much you posted. (Which is really evident when posting in the rp forum and sometimes your posts are at least a page [in Word] long.)

Overall I'm just glad it's going on so people will post more. And I think there have been a lot of people entering the contest, but I think most people are smarter than to state it out right. xD

As far as myself, ehn. I'm actually not a facebook user so I've hardly even noticed it's going on.

It has got my thinking wheels turning, but I have not actually made a thread with the sole purpose for the contest. Like Cora, the thread I made I planned to do so anyways.

I get your mixed feelings about the contest though. But I personally am hoping that the slightly heightened gold increase will give people the incentive to keep on posting once this is over.

To be completely honest, I don't really care for apple products in general. So, I'll be liking threads more than usual to help someone else win, but I'm not interested in competing directly.

Haha, I am not a fan either, but I did want the ipod touch at one point in time. But then I got my BB phone and i am good. But I do like Windeh's idea. xD

windy is gonna be hard to beat lols, she just has that thread thats like.......like this thread if you love mene.....lols, secretly cora is hoping she does win. o.0

Nolori: Since I'm not really an RPer, I rarely ever get to the gold post cap... Actually, I don't even usually know how much I make per post. xD It's just something for which I've accounted.
Hm, I wonder if this contest will help people realize that like feature-y thing is there in the first place. xD I've never really noticed it before.
I'm on facebook all the time but I never really connect it to Mene or anything.

Keyori: Well, at least you are doing your fair share! I've only ever owned 1 apple product and it was outdated when I got it. ^_^; I wish I could afford the iPod touch but for now, I'll keep it on my things to get when I have money list. xD

Yeah, sometimes it can take a while for prices to become stable... Though a lot of the time, it really depends on the item most of the time.

No clue. Out of curiosity, did you ask people to like your thread? [You don't have to answer if you don't want] I'm just wondering how they expected people to do this... Like directly asking or hoping that people would know.

Sure did! I got a bunch of my friend on facebook to like it. In the announcement it said people could like it if they weren't members of Mene.

I was just curious how people were advertising it. I know some of my friends on facebook have a million friends... So I think it could be tough competition.

Well, I think that I am tied with the person that had the most likes.

Kind of wish there was a real way to keep track though. Like a list of the leaders and such.
