And I'm pretty good with spelling and grammar, so if you need somebody to proof-read the articles I could probably find time to do it. |

@Sizzla: I would love to get someone who could edit it up, as I told you in my PM, I'm not a good editor by any means. In fact in HS english/grammar was one of my weakest subject, i still think I'm crazy for writing stories. Xd I think I will change the title like you suggest and add on the help wanted tag Also to the new PDF if you could upload them or email them to me that would be wonderful. @Risika: If you think you can take care of the editing work you're welcome to give it a shot but you realize it would be a big chunk of stuff each week. We already know Sizzla takes care of her own work but you would be juggling an average of 5 - 7 articles a week, and possibly more if we add more articles. |

The layout of the paper bugs me. I went to school for graphic arts though so to me everything has to be perfect. In general though I think that the paper is a good/cute idea.

@Mystic: I hear ya'. I'm all about good design too. XD But for a first-time effort, I think it came out okay. XD I'm sure it'll improve as time goes on. They're still learning the ropes. :yes: Maybe you should offer to lay out the paper (if'n you have the spare time)? ;) My marked-up PDF mostly gets to typography, because I :heart: typography and it's VERY important, but I didn't have time to touch on the actual design itself... I thought it might be too much at once, considering all the textual edits I made. :sweat: |

Mystic, Sizzla, I would really appreciate some help with Layout. I also went to school for Graphic Design, but they never taught us anything like this. I didn't know what I was doing, and I still don't. Any advice is greatly appreciated as I have no idea how to set this up.

I think you should just make the design of the newspaper more newspaper-like. Smaller text, several columns of text instead of just one column, etc. There are minor things that I would tweak to make the design more efficient and easier to read. |

I appreciate all the help, as i said before the paper is always changeable and nothing is set in stone. It's because of feed back and help from our readers and authors that we can get the thing out each week so the more help we get the smoother things go. >:3

Sorry I haven't been able to give crit until now. Life has just been hella crazy, and it was just yesterday that I got this thread subscribed and read through the entirety of it.
Can I ask why you chose Nations instead of CD as the home base for this thread? I thought it'd be better suited for CD myself... But Nations is more active, so that's probably a good thing. |
