Gaaaaaaaah, job interviews are mentally scarring! |
Job interview? So how? so how?
|
*skips through the thread*
|
Seito looks purty. :3 *Mai puts up anti-nom shield*
|
Xuv: They threw a question totally out of left field. "You cannot ask me a question for this part. Tell me a story."
@ o @;; Sei is so cute~ |
...wha? What kind of job are you interviewing for?
|
Lol, a co-op position for 5 alternating semesters at a structural engineering firm in Chicago.
|
co-op? alternating semester?
|
A co-op is like an internship, but you are contracted to work with them for 5 rotations between school semesters. You tend to have more responsibility in the company and learn more.
|
Wow... there is such time tables?
Very good. |
*tackles Seito to the floor* <3
Ayumi, when will you hear back from them? Heya, xuv, how are you? |
Luenolala~ ha! How are you?
|
Luel: HAIIII~~~
... I actually got an offer at 11:54pm last night from them... Starting salary is $15.25 per hour, and it will raise through rotations, and I have... 10 business days to reply. Honestly, they're my number two choice... And I don't know when I'll hear back from my number one. But I'm dying over here. xD |
Not sure if that is a good offer?
10 business days, wait until the 8th, call your first choice to see if decision will be made anytime soon, if not, then accept that. |
Ayumi: $15.25 isn't bad at all, but I agree with xuvrette. Wait a bit, call your first choice and ask if you'll hear back soon.I'm not sure it's good to wait till day 8 to call your first choice though, so try on day 5, since they might say they'll have to get back to you.
xuvxuv: I am busy making bad life choices and helping Iroro~n with her worse life choices. What have you been up to? |
Gah, I just don't want to be pushy and bug my first choice. They're a large, international company, so it's obviously going to be a slower hiring process. It's only been less than a week from my first interview with all the companies...
|
As I understand it, letting them know that you are in demand actually works in your favour.
|
I am not sure about your side's culture. Unless they have stated exactly how long you would have to wait for the result, or else you will not be consider pushy to ask for the progress. You could also just casually ask how long the process normally would take.
Luenolala~ make... LIFE choices? O_O that is so noble~ |
Gah, I'll just wait a few more days then email or call.
I just hate feeling like I'm being a bother or something. > o <;; |
Like Luenolala said.
Actually, if you be eager to ask their result, it just shows that you are keen to work with them. |
Thank you everyone 8D <3
|
what to thank?
*tackles Seito* |
For the pretty words <3
