Ichiru bent down next to Shizuka's limp body, caressing her hand gently, closing his eyes. His memory flashed back to when he was younger, watching the woman kill his parents, and bite his brother, spinning his fortune around her fingers, and into her hand. He smirked when he saw the look on his brother's face upon arriving with Maria at Cross Academy. He stood back up and sat in a red velvet chair with a black glazed wood. He sighed, staring at the woman, her long silver hair draped over her face. Soon, she would awaken, and he could serve her and hopefully she would finally sink her long fangs into his neck. He wished so badly to become a vampire.

Maria opened the door to the room, peeking her head in,"Ichiru?" She asked. She saw the man sitting upon the chair, staring at the woman who controlled her. She didn't really mind, but when Shizuka left her body, Maria would always be tired and half asleep. She would never get time to play with her "Ichii-kun."[or so she called him.] She does not recall anything after Shizuka takes control of her, which leaves her somewhere sleeping in the back of her mind. She looked out the window,"You know, it isn't healthy to stay up all night..." She said quietly, trying to start a conversation.

Ichiru looked to Maria and stood, bowing. "Welcome back, Maria-san," he spoke. "I shall sleep when I know both you and Shizuka are safe...But right now, that is impossible," he explained, speaking the truth. Slowly, he sat back down. He did doze off once in a while, but he always woke at the slightest noise. Whether it was the rain, the wind, or a rat, he woke, and stayed awake for a while. Looking over, he saw Shizuka sit up. He smiled and stood back up, moving strands of hair from her face. "Good morning, Shizuka-sama," he smiled more, speaking softly.

"Don't use such honorifics Ichiru-kun," Maria said,"I'm not Shizuka," She mumbled as said woman woke from her slumber. She looked out the window again, she hated how Ichiru loved Shizuka so much, and barely payed attention to herself. Almost like a one-sided relationship. She smiled at the way the moon glowed, it seemed to match the shade of Ichiru's hair. And his brother's also, they seemed to look exactly alike, besides the long hair of course. She sighed and leaned on the window, almost half-hypnotized by the glare of the moon.

Ichiru gazed at Shizuka. "Why are you getting so close to that human my brother fawns over, Shizuka-sama?" he asked, his eyes focused on her and only her. The woman reached up, and stroked his cheeks, making him blush with satisfaction.
"You need more blood..." Shizuka spoke, her voice soft and gentle. She gave her honorable Ichiru blood once a week, keeping him strong. His brother, Zero Kiryuu, took all the strength from this beautiful boy...And she was glad she took his soul. Softly, she pierced her neck with two fingernails, for Ichiru was still a mere human, but the Pureblood's blood made him stronger. Ichiru struggled, the blood always tasted horrible on his tongue, but he knelt on the bed and held her shoulder, placing his soft lips against her neck, licking up the fallen blood, then sucked gently. He grimaced at the horrific iron taste. |
Maria shivered involuntarily at the soft sucking noises that came from behind her it was sick how Ichiru could stand doing that, considering his human form. She kept her eyes locked on the moon, trying to drown out the sucking noises that came from behind her. Why is he so interested in her anyway? She thought bitterly, as her hand balled into a fist.

Backing away, he looked to Maria, then Shizuka. "Excuse me..." he bowed his head, then side-stepped, heading for the door. Taking one last look at Shizuka, he left, walking down the hallway. Slowly, he took in the sunrise, smiling as the birds began to sing. It was chilly, but he enjoyed every bit of the beautiful morning. His mind was on Zero, he had to find him. Right when he began to think of him, there was Zero. Sitting under a tree, apparently napping.

Maria sighed,"I'm hungry," She said, and quickly excused herself from the room. Going back to her dorm, she took out the pills she was supposed to take, put one in a glass of water, and waited for it to dissolve. Looking out the window she spotted Ichiru walking towards a tree. When her eyes trailed toward the tree, she gasped, under the tree, lay Zero. "Isn't he supposed to be doing his rounds?" She asked herself, drinking the fake blood.

Ichiru sighed and looked up, spotting Maria. He backed away from the sleeping Zero and walked away. He growled, clutching the sword on his back. He hated being interrupted, especially when it came to the one thing he'd been waiting for. He was jealous of Zero. Why did he get bit? Why is he so special? Walking through the forest, he clenched his fists. He wanted Zero dead. He wanted him to suffer more than anything. |
Maria frowned, Ichiru suddenly walked away from him. What did he want from him anyway. No matter how hard she tried to spy on them, Ichiru would somehow find out about her presence. Maybe he's gay? At that thought, Maria started giggling, there was no way that Ichiru was gay, he loved Shizuka, Maria already knew that.

Running up to Maria's room, he opened the door, and shut it, quickly. He glanced at her, then traveled over to her bed, laying on it. Sighing, he rested an arm over his eyes, feeling the headache pound against his skull. Thin, silver hair flowed onto the pillow, and he groaned, feeling it come from his gut.

Maria jumped at the sudden arrival of Ichiru, as he laid down on her bed, she walked over to him,"Neh, you should knock first, you almost made me jump out the window you know?" She teased, and noticed that he seemed to be a bit stressed. "Something wrong Ichiru-kun?" She asked, a hint of worry in her eyes.

Groaning, he rolled over and pulled a pillow over his head. He was stressed, and annoyed. "I'm joining Cross Academy," he said, looking up into her perfect eyes. Before he got too lost in them, he closed his, and sighed. His stomach was turning, and under his ribs hurt like a bitch, but he just rubbed it gently.

"Why?" Maria asked,"Don't you hate the school and your brother?" She added, sitting on the bed next to him. She petted his head, attempting to soothe him, Ichiru was just too tense nowadays. Yawning, she felt her vision blur but she didn't want to fall asleep just yet. It would be embarrassing to sleep when someone else is in the room. So Maria fought to keep her eyes open, so she could help the white/gray-haired man relax.

Reaching up after he heard the yawn, he pulled Maria down to the bed, and moved over so she had half the bed. Smiling at her, with his genuine smile, he moved her hair from her face and closed his eyes. Ignoring his growling stomach, he dozed off, thinking of everything he could accomplish at Cross Academy. That brought a smile to his face.

Maria yelped when she was suddenly grabbed and pulled onto the bed. Looking at Ichiru curiously, she found that he was asleep, and hungry. Being too tired to move at all, her eyes drooped, and she fell asleep, snuggling against Ichiru for warmth without knowing.
