The principle hated being shown up and he wasn't going to take it from some kid who's mother was rich, "Two weeks, suspension for the two of you! That's final." He looked to Wyatt who continued to argue with him, "Argue further and your friend will need to find a new school to attend." His voice was bitter.
"Now out of my sight, and don't set foot in this school until your suspensions are through." After the principles last words Logan removed himself from the chair angrily shoving it back across the floor, he didn't wait for Wyatt as he stormed out his temper was fuming. |
"Hmph." Wyatt was glad he had contact with every single teacher for every single class he had via internet. He could ask them for assignments, and he could easily request assignments from Logan's teachers.
He was glad he was semi-friendly with the vice principal, as well. She was a kind woman who sympathized with him, and she would definitely suspend the other boy for them. Wyatt didn't spare the man a second glance as he nervously shuffled out after Logan, hoping his anger wasn't directed at him. |
Once Logan was out, he breezed down the hallway without another word, on his way out at the last row of lockers he slammed his fist into one of them, clearly denting it, and hurting his own hand in the process. He didn't care as he breathed heavily resting his forehead against it before slamming his open hand against it again, an angry yell escaped his lips.

Wyatt followed him silently, until he started to senselessly beat someone's locker. Taking a deep breath, he reached out and gingerly, gently, grabbed Logan's arm. There was something soothing in his expression--what it was wasn't exactly clear, though. "Calm down. There is nothing we can do about it, unless we turn the staff against him," he said, slowly.

Logan for the first time rejected Wyatt's touch, his eyes were dark as he shrugged him off, "It's not that and you know it, its that stupid ass kid, he goes off scott free... and he'll probably do it all the hell over again." Logan kicked the lower locker this time out of anger, he didn't care one bit about being suspended, all he cared about was stopping this injustice.

"That, I have a solution to. And as such, there is one thing we need to do before we leave," Wyatt explained, reaching out to touch him again. "The principal may not be willing to listen. But the vice principal will. She'll jump at the chance to suspend someone caught harming me red-handed...she's been trying to for months..."

Logan moved away from him, "You don't get it, that's not going to stop him, he's just going to get more angry and come after you more, and one day..." Logan clenched his fists as he started for the door, he looked over his shoulder briskly, "One day, he'll hurt you worse than ever, and I won't be able to be there to protect you." He pushed his way through the front doors.

Wyatt grabbed his arm again, a little more firmly this time. "And it's better to simply let him walk away? A suspension is better than nothing right now, and you know that." His tone was sharp, terse. Intent on making a point. "It will only take five minutes. Calm down, and come with me. Please..."

Logan decided this time to whirl around and grab Wyatt's arm back firmly, "I'm not putting you in more danger, I'm not going to admit to that guy doing anything to you, I can't do it." Logan was stubborn and he wouldn't break on this, he knew how that bloke thought because before he could have easily become on like that, he understood the bullies anger.

Wyatt sighed, softly, and then tried to pull his arm away, instinctively. He had his eyes fixed on the ground. He didn't answer him, or argue any more. He would simply communicate with the vice principal online. Now that he thought about it and had time to think about it, he'd recalled that the boy's name was Braxton Michaels, the star of the school's football team.

Logan let go of him gently now as he turned again, "I'm going home." he said sternly making his way to the parking lot, he was glad that Wyatt didn't insist on arguing with him anymore, he didn't have the patience.

Wyatt followed him, not knowing what else to do. He didn't have his car, since it was still at Logan's house, and couldn't drive himself home. He kept his eyes fixed on the ground.

Logan sat in the jag knowing that Wyatt was following and now that he managed to get himself suspended there was nothing he could do about it. As he waited he looked in the rearview mirror, a large bruise was forming around his right eye and his lip was cut, and dry. His head throbbed as he clenched the steering will still filled with anger.

Wyatt quietly sat in the passenger's seat, and stared at the floor for a long moment. He was running things through in his mind. Finally, he surrendered. He leaned over and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Logan, in an awkward but gentle hug. "Thank you...for defending me."

Logan who still had his hands on the steering wheel, even though they weren't moving was in shock when he found Wyatt about his waist hugging him. His anger began to fade as his body finally stopped being tense his arms collapsed, "No problem..." he sighed.

Wyatt was more than relieved when he felt Logan relax, and as such, loosened his grip just a bit and stayed where he was. "...What should we do, now?" he asked, softly. "Other than use my contacts to our advantage..." He contently explained how he could easily get all of their work for the next two weeks online, so they wouldn't fall terribly behind.

Logan thought silently as Wyatt explained what they could do, he didn't want to think about that now though, homework was the last thing on his mind. It finally dawned on him that now on top of the trouble he caused before Wyatt's mother would cause a bigger fit, and possibly do something drastic.
He butted in, not really sure what Wyatt was saying, "You could stay with me." |
Wyat lifted his head up, another thought immediately coming to mind. "...If...I am going to be staying for an extended period of time...I will need to pack some things. Stop off at home and grab clothing, my toothbrush...and make sure Tzalmon will feed my snakes. My mother is at work right now, and will be for four more hours."

"Okay," Logan said starting up the car and not bothering to remove Wyatt from him, he drove fairly well now, not nearly as fast as before. He could see in the mirror that his lip was becoming swollen from the hit and cut, he'd have to deal with that later. After sometime they arrived at Wyatt's house, and he parked at close distance.
"I'll wait for you out here, come out when you're ready." Logan figured it'd be easier and faster if Wyatt went in on his own and gathered his things. |
"I think you should come with me," Wyatt insisted, softly. He hadn't let go of him for the whole drive, and somehow, that held felt right. "...How long do you want me to stay?" he added, curiously.

Logan reluctantly turned the engine off, "If you want me to..." he thought about the second question and he didn't know how to answer instead he finished with, "However long you would like to stay, you're welcome always." he wouldn't look at Wyatt he was still a bit embarrassed for reacting the way he did, and Wyatt was still hugging him and he wasn't sure how to handle it.

Wyatt still didn't let go of him. There were a few moments of silence, during which Wyatt hesitantly rested his head on his shoulder. Being a novice and someone who had always pushed away any feelings of affection as much as he could, making the first move was something he wouldn't even consider.

Logan's face was a bit red, he didn't know how to deal with this situation, Wyatt wasn't letting go and it was obvious now, and he couldn't figure out what it was for, "Are you okay?" he asked uneasily not really wanting to move because he wasn't sure of what was happening.

"I'm fine," Wyatt assured him, softly. He still stayed put, waiting patiently for something to happen. He was a bit frightened to let go, but he did loosen his grip, so that it appeared like they were cuddling more than anything else.

Logan had never been this close to another male so he didn't know what to do in this situation, he let his arm go around him where he patted his back lightly unsure if it was proper or not. "I guess we'll have to go in to actually get your things though?"
