There is an abandoned alien space station/spaceship, with signs of a major battle. There may be people hurt, or lurking about to attack. I don't care if we're human or aliens or both.

It can be in orbit of a planet if you want. As for other creatures, if it was a space station in particular, I think there may be other creatures that they were keeping on board, either for food or research.

Scientifically made werewolf would be awesome. If we did that, I could see it being either a big city or a small town. The city for the big research firms, and the town if they wanted to keep it a secret. So maybe we could have it start out in the city, like they did all the genetic mutation in the labs there and moved everything to a small town, that's still not too far away once they didn't need all the heavy duty machines?
