Appearance: http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...5/Vampire8.jpg Other: no matter how much he sees he'll never stop being amazed by the view on the island, looking across the water. |
It was late, way past midnight and pretty much near dawn, and Tejina was still wide awake. She couldn't sleep. Her mind was too full of experiments she wanted to try. She sighed and sat up in bed then lit a candle stick. She had her book beside her and reached for it, opening it up to the page she left off at. After fifteen minutes she still couldn't sleep and put the book down. She stepped out of her cabin and watched the stars for a bit.
He was usaully up all the time, he was running around the island and stopped to look across to where he thought the mainland was, not needing a light to see. He loved tyhe feeling of freedom on this island, he could probably just swim to the mainland, but he never wanted to, beside that something else he didn't know of yet was keeping him here. He ran back to his cabin and grabbed a bag of blood from his effect frezzer type thing.
Somehow the stars lulled Tejina to sleep after a few minutes of watching them as she lay on the front steps.
She awoke the next morning feeling slightly confused before remembering what happened that night as she felt stiff... She stood up and stretched herself out before taking her morning walk through the forest for herbs and stuff for potions. They were never used for cooking. She hated cooking. She hadn't walked long when she tripped over a root and stumbled into a bush. "Ouch... You again?" |
He sucked down the rest of the bag of blood just as the sun comes up. He walks outside and sees people starting to come out, this is a small village on an island, it's one of the most amazing places he's been, he dresses in a newer fashion because he's been to the mailand and got clothes while he was there, he's only been her a couple centuries, he's been other places as well, and seen many things. He goes to the forest path by his cabin, and walks along it. "Today seems like a nice day." he says out loud.
Tejina regained herself and continued to look for herbs, placing them into her basket as she went. She was used to doing this in the dark forest, but sometimes it felt a bit creepy. Especially when she felt she wasn't alone... She'd shrug it off and continue without thinking about it, though.
Once she figured she'd gathered enough for the day, Tejina started to walk back to her cabin which was located just outside it, still feeling a bit scared. She never took a path which was probably why she tripped over the same bush each day. |
He walked to a clearing in the path and climbed a tall tree to the top and looked at the sky leaning against the trunk of the tree. He lay down on the branch not lossing balance and closed his eyes, laying there felt like, like many things. He loved the feeling of the soft brezze going across him.
Tejina finally made it out of there when she noticed she'd forgotten something. An important herb she needed for a healing potion she read earlier the day before. She turned around and walked back into the forest avoiding the bush this time and walked over to a tree. Incidentally it was the same tree the guy was on. She didn't notice as she started to pick the herb from the lowest branch she could reach. There wasn't enough, though and she ended up climbing the tree, groaning as she went. "Ugh."
He opened his eyes hearing something at the bottom of the tree, he climbed down and stood on the end of a branch nearby what looked like a witch picking herbs. "Might I be of help to you miss?" he offered politely. He waited for her answer noticing a lot about the tree he was on, and he noticed that his outfit might be showing a bit too much, he didn't exactly rmemeber what these people thought of as appropreate dress on the island when he bought his newer clothes.
Tejina wasn't paying much attention to what anyone was wearing on the island as she usually kept to herself. She was wearing older clothes. Almost those of medieval times or so. She jumped as she heard the voice and looked around to where it may be coming from before looking up and seeing a figure. "I'm okay. I do this all the time." She really didn't. She just didn't want to seem like a weakling as she continued to climb the tree, reaching for a branch. "Really. No problem." She grabbed the branch with both arms and hung from it as she walked sideways on the branch below it as it made a cracking noise with each step.
"Okay, I'll be here if you need anything." he said crouching down, not loosing balance on the branch he was on. He was watching her in case she did need his help even if she didn't ask for it, if she needed it bad enough he'd help.
((a bit of writer's block)) |
Tejina made her way to the end of the branch to grab what she needed and started to walk back. The branch however gave way and soon she was dangling from the branch she was grabbing as she tried to make her way back. She looked down, which was a bad idea and panicked as she used her arms as quickly as she could to get back. Her hands were sweaty, though from the panic and she lost her grip, falling downwards to the ground, screaming with a high-pitched tone.
((We all get those. It's no problem. :))) |
((thanx))
He jumped from the branch he was on and caught her before she hit the ground. "you should be more careful donig stuff like that." he said setting her gently on the ground feet first. ((i'm just having trouble today with writer's block)) |
Tejina was a bit stubborn but agreed. "Yeah... I'm just so used to doing things quickly. There's not much time to be careful during the day. Even if it is still morning." She might have just wanted to prove herself when someone was watching her. Especially since it was a guy. All the guys in this town would act as if they were the best and would say they could do anything while the women couldn't do the same as they could.
((Happens to me a lot of the time.:P)) |
"I can see in your eyes that most of the men say they can do things that you can't, I'm not that kind of man, I just like to be helpful is all" he asured her of his intentions. "I hate it when men do that though, makes me want to beat them senseless, but I don't, no need to make a scene over something so pointless."
"That was impressive... How'd you figure that out just from that?" It puzzled her, but she figured he just knew from living in the town if he did. Everyone acted like that and everyone knew it as they see it every day one way or another. "It's quite annoying when they do that, yeah. Makes me want to harm them, too, but I can't do that. Well I could, but it's not allowed."
"Well I've lived at least two centuries here and a couple more off the island, I've been 18 for awhile.." he answered. "So I've been able to read other beings very well."
"That's a long time... I'm guessing you're not human. Unless you've found an immortality potion or something somewhere." She giggled at that as even she hadn't found or created one herself. "I've only lived on this earth for 16 years not counting the year I was born in. I only know things from stories of my ancestors from pamphlets and relatives."
"Your right, I'm not human, I'm a vampire, you might say im a 'vegatarian', being that I don't drink human blood, I did for the first half century, then found a way to live off of animal blood, and blood that I keep in a frezzer like thing." he responds. "I'v lived through many diseases I'm willing to bet that you haven't even heard of." he added quickly. "Not to brag just to prove my age true."
"I'll use blood for things at home. I keep a lot of it from all kinds of different animals. I have a freezer thing, too, but they stay cooler in the cellar during winter so I just keep them there. Sometimes I need it to be warm. Anyway. I'm sure there are many diseases I've never heard of. Though they'll still arrive from places in the outside world..." She meant off the island. She'd come down with a few cases herself over the years, but probably nothing too bad.
"Interesting, which kind of things do you do in your time, it must be nteresting living as a witch." he said true intrigued. "what do you like to do?"
"Life has it's ups and downs, but yeah. It's okay. Living out here by the woods really helps. The people living in town are very superstitious about things. So I suppose I just outcast myself before they could do it." She paused to organize the herbs she found into piles. "How'd you know anyway?"
"I can smell it on your blood." he replied, "I might not drink human blood but I still have the senses of a vampire." He wondered about something. "Might you let me escort you home?"
"You can? Must be a good nose. Though books have a lot of facts about vampires, true or not..." She had to ponder over that for a minute. She'd read a few of them. "Sure. It may be a short walk, though as I only live outside this forest." Her cabin was far from town, too.
