Samuel looked down at her perplexed. "Don't you want to go home? You were extremely bent on that when I first brought you here." he asked in some confusion.
|
She sighed looking out the window.
"I do not wish to leave. I enjoy it here." Why did she not want to leave anymore? That was the question. Her face twisted in a frown. WHy did she not want to leave? Why was she so interested in this guy? Why did she want to stay here with someone who yelled at her and who hurt her? She did not know. |
Samuel was perplexed and it shown on his face perfectly.
"You do not want to leave?" he asked mainly to himself before looking at her in disbelief. She was not at all like this yesterday, she wanted to get away as soon as possible. "Why?" he asked still standing in her door way. |
She sat down and stared at the floor. She did not know what to think or say. She was so confused. She should go home and get away from this scary place and this scary guy. But at the same time she just wanted to stay here.
"Nevermind. I will go home." She said in a quiet unfeeling tone. |
"Alright, I'll come and get you to go in an hour. Be ready." Samuel told himself that is what he wanted to hear and quickly left before she could make up her mind. He was going to bring her home and that was final. Moving off to his room he grabbed some decent clothing to wear while he took her back.
|
She sat down on the bed and cried. She did not know what to do. She was so incredibly confused right now.
|
He came back ready to take her home only shocked to find her crying. With a cautious step he waked over to her bed and sat down next to her. "Why are you crying?" He asked moving her hair out of her face. Shouldn't she be happy? She was leaving this place.
|
She looked up at him a moment.
"Well I am just confused is all. I do not wish to leave but I know I must leave and I have a lot on my mind. I am a little overwhelmed I suppose. I will be fine in a few minutes thank you." |
"You don't have to leave. If you want to stay I'll allow it but I don't know why you would. Don't you hate it here? Because of me?" he asked looking at her worried, still.
|
"Well its actually refreshing being here because no one treats me like I am going to kill over dead if I do anything. I hate being pampered all the time."
|
"Than you can stay if you want. For now I have things I need so make yourself comfortable." Samuel stood up and bean to leave her room.
|
She ran to him and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you ever so much. I appreciate it." |
Samuel actually attempted to hug her back this time. "Okay, okay. Would you at least like to go home and get some things?"
|
"No there is nothing there that I need. Thank you though. I appreciate the concern."
She sat down and looked at him. |
"Than make yourself at home. I have things to attend. This is your home now, go explore. However do not go outside!" he ordered before leaving changing into his demonic form.
|
She looked at him with a frown. Why could she not go outside? That was a strange order. She sighed and opening the door peered into the hallway. No one was around. She walked slowly down the hall. As she walked she opened random doors and peered into them. She saw nothing of interest until she opened the door to the library. She walked in with a grin. Her mind was overflowing from the literary knowledge that this area held. She smiled and picking out a book made herself comfortable and sat down to read.
|
Samuel was getting himself ready for a meeting with the higher ups. He was a warlord after all and they looked upon him to make the heavy choices about the military. If they attacked, held their position or other. There was also the fact they were trying to find him a lover, someone of such high ranking could not be left with out a heir. Leaving his palace he hoped Lina found something to occupy her time and didn't venture outside. The outside that consisted of cliffs cascading into pits of fire and demons were roaming about everywhere.
|
Lina read her book for a while but soon got bored. She closed her eyes and let her mind drift. She soon found she was dreaming. She was walking around and suddenly someone grabbed her and pulled her to them. She saw Samuel and smiled. The only thing was Samuel had changed. He looked evil. He kissed her and she pulled away crying for help but no one came. When she woke up she went for a walk down the hallways. She opened a door and saw Samuel. She walked up to him.
"Where are you going?" |
"Some place you can not come. I'll be back as soon as possible, just please stay inside." he looked down at Lina his brow creased in frustration, before taking hold of her wrist with a gentle touch. He lead her through many corridors before stopping before the maids quarters. "Take care of her please. You don't need to stay in hiding anymore." The maids were a mixture of demons and humans, they would easily get along with Lina. "I need to go now." he said almost coaxing himself to leave as her rubbed the top of her head and left the room changing into his demon form and left the palace.
|
She gasped when he drug her down the hall. She frowned at the maids and then watched him leave. She turned back to them.
"Hello." She smiled. A woman walked up to her and held her hand. She smiled at her. "Welcome. We will not harm you. We will help you with anything you need." |
The maids were off all ages. All the same, nice friendly and very accepting. An attribute Samuel looked for in his workers. With the greetings through the oldest maid hobbled over with her can. "Have you yet got to clean up since the day you got here my dear?" she asked.
|
Lina smiled sweetly.
"No I have not. It would be nice to have a bath." |
"Than lets get you in one." she smiled ushering the girl over to the bathing room. It was a bath the size of a pool almost, heated and warm. The maids loved it, they were grateful to Samuel.
