Oh my gosh!!!! That is awesome!!! That just made me even more excited!!!
Haha~ Seriously though, that is REALLY good<3 I love it so much!

Faulkner 10-04-2010 01:23 AM

Thank you. I do not own a tablet so all of my work is done in pencils and charcoals, hence the sketchyness of the picture. But I do alright, there just the matter of getting a new scanner.

Ignis 10-04-2010 01:28 AM

That is still pretty amazing! Making it with pencils and charcoals makes it more personal and home-y made (imo)
Oh yes, scanners -dundundun- My scanner is pretty crappy right now too. But i don't really use it x_x

Faulkner 10-04-2010 01:30 AM

I used mine religiously which is probably why it broke. This was one of the last pieces I was able to fully scan. the rest turned out like this one.http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/z...h_scan0001.jpg

As you can see the only thing that showed up is his face.

I got one full body of him in before it died and I'm quite pleased with it.

Ignis 10-04-2010 01:35 AM

Wow! The scanner just couldn't handle anymore awesome art from you xD
Those are incredible! <333
REALLY great, indeed!
I love his face it's so serious~ He has cool hair too!
I love all of it :3

Faulkner 10-04-2010 01:37 AM

Good, when I start up m art business I'll be sure to give you something then. The serious one is named Kurt and I'm writing a novel on him. I'm up to about one hundred pages and counting. It's posted on another site but I may copy it onto here when I find the time...or the motivation (I can be dreadfully lazy)

Ignis 10-04-2010 01:45 AM

For sure! I will be (hopefully) your first customer~
Oh. Kurt? cool cool. One hundred pages!? Dang, you are creative, huh?
You can draw REALLY awesomely (hah I keep saying awesome...sorry I just love that word)
and write novels? That is amazing!
I can be lazy too, hah! I just finished doing some work that I could have finished in a shorter amount of time, but instead I just do a little bit, and then go off and do something else like watch TV.

Faulkner 10-04-2010 01:50 AM

That's how I do it. Write a page of dribble then leave, have a snack turn on some music and go back later. I do a lot of writing but Kurt's story is my only serious work. He's a very special character and I've spent a few years shaping him. I'm an odd person though. I'm a twenty year old female in mind and body but my writing persona is invariably a thirtyish male. I don't know why I like those specific characters so much but I enjoy writing them and reading them. Alas I am unfathomable even to myself. ;)

Ignis 10-04-2010 02:00 AM

Must be one heck of a novel *_* Kurt looks like a really great character, and that is just by looking at him~
I wonder what kind of story he has; he is really interesting looking, for sure.
Well that's good (imo) lots of female writers get too girly eventually. So that's pretty nice that you can do some serious work; pretty impressive (to me). Even better if you enjoy what you are writing about, you get more ideas and therefore make your stories better.

Faulkner 10-04-2010 02:04 AM

It's a vampire story, sort of ponderous and broody but it's not an adolescent romance novel. Although I may have taken it to seriously. I'm at a point where I've given Kurt a specific smell...I get so into my characters it borders obsession but I crank out some really good stuff that way. I'm in the process of copy/pasting it in the lit forum but I wouldn't advise reading it all at once and there are many typos I have yet to correct.

Ignis 10-04-2010 02:09 AM

Yay! I love vampires, well, the mature ones anyways. ^_^ Well that is good! There are way too many vampire romance novels as it is, so i'm glad it's different! I'm open to all sorts of stories :3
Sounds pretty interesting so far, I can't wait to read it if you get it up. (Of course I will take your advice and probably wait until the typos are corrected, but only because I mix up my words enough as it is.) But I really look forward to reading it!

Faulkner 10-04-2010 02:11 AM

I have one long page in the lit forum down for you to peruse at your leisure under the title "Life after Death for Kurt Kraus" Most of the major errors are smoothed out but there are probably some small ones I've missed so I'll fix those as I see them.

Ignis 10-04-2010 02:13 AM

ooohhhhh~ I will head off and read that now then!
But right now I'm hungry...OH! I will eat a snack while reading, I SO love doing that!
Cool title by the way!

Faulkner 10-04-2010 02:19 AM

Take your time it's not going anywhere and it is very long and will get much longer when I finish posting all the segments.

Ignis 10-04-2010 02:36 AM

haha....oops...i finished it :3
I loved it!!!~~ I can't wait to read the rest! i love reading interesting stories.
Preferably ones that I don't have to take a test on :p
Oh man, but that's good, I can be excited about what will happen next and think about it. ^_^
I got to go for now, need to fix up dinner. See you~<3

Faulkner 10-04-2010 02:48 AM

Good by hope to see you again tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have more story posted for you then.

Fay 11-03-2010 12:41 AM

I really like the way you draw.
It would be awesome if you had a tablet.
Do you have any coloured work?
not that the black and white is bad i just like colour :D

Faulkner 11-12-2010 10:01 PM

I'm afraid I don't have the material to make colored works at the moment. Maybe when I get some copic pens or paints....

Kaylesha Blackheart 11-16-2010 04:52 PM

Love the art! Draw-and-scan is still awesome, even in the age of tablets and digital art.

FallOut-Sun 11-19-2010 05:58 AM

I love the drawings. you have capture such an intense look in the man's eyes it makes me wanna know more about him. The decoration in the hair is also an awesome touch. I wish i could do nose's and lips like you do. those area's are a problem for me >.<

Bunni_RawR 11-24-2010 06:24 PM
