I just found a loop hole that Mathais could have said in order to get out of it with Cleo. He was told to aid to AC, not Cleo, so.....he wouldn't need it.

He stayed behind during recess when he was ten and caught his teacher doing naughty things, and then was raped in the boys bathroom by that teacher, whom was his favorite. Like his teacher had liked him for awhile, and made them go to recess since he was horny, but didn't realize that Cleo stayed behind. So, he took advantage of the situation.
