SO MANY CHICKENS ><

Admonish Misconstruction 06-03-2012 05:00 PM

Arkkath: Definitely, I'm thinking of doing the same for the creative server I play on.

GinKadia: Yes, I think I might have a problem. Breed my minions breed!

Artifex 06-03-2012 05:49 PM

You side like me with my multicoloured sheep! So many colors o.o need moooorrree

Admonish Misconstruction 06-03-2012 06:32 PM

Screenshot? I wish you could get mutton of lamb from them. I need munchies to live!

Artifex 06-03-2012 08:06 PM

I haven't figured out how to access my screen shots yet XD

Arkkath 06-03-2012 08:23 PM

Okay, so I just took a bunch of screenshots of stuff I've done so far, so here we go.

This one is right at the spawn point. The spawn is on the edge of a jungle biome, so I built sort of a tree house thing around it.

This one is of the huge bridge I made as part of the path to make it more interesting.
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...01/arkana2.jpg

This one is the first few buildings of the city, plus the city entrance.
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...01/arkana3.jpg

Here's the big town fountain thingy.
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...01/arkana4.jpg

The bridge connecting to the keep.
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...01/arkana5.jpg

Standing at the entrance to the keep to get a god view of how big it is inside. It's partially inspired by Dragonsreach.

The unfinished king's bedroom.
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...01/arkana7.jpg

Took a break from building the previous city and started building another one. Here it is from the outside.

Looking down from one of the gate towers at the entrance.

And as you can see, it's not finished yet. This is only about 1/5th of what the entire thing will be. 3 other sections plus a castle in the middle.

I generally just do PrtScn and paste into paint myself, but Minecraft's screen shots are saved in the .minecraft folder. My Computer>Search Bar>Search %appdata%>.Minecraft>screenshots folder.

That's amazing :squee:. I'm really liking the town, it reminds me of Skyrim.

GinKadia 06-06-2012 01:06 AM

Ark: O.O Those are intense!

Liquid Diamond 06-08-2012 08:16 PM

 Holy shit, Ark...

Liztress 06-09-2012 12:10 AM

Those screens are impressive. xD I'm wishing I could do stuff like that. Need to get Minecraft first. Which is on my list of games to get.

GinKadia 06-09-2012 01:07 AM

I hope I make structures like that one day. :3

WolfRain Dc-ed 06-09-2012 01:55 PM

It can get pretty addicting, lol. As soon as I create a new world in Survival Mode, I can't help but spend a bit of time gathering resources, building the tools, and my house, and having fun hunting the animals. Hehehehehe 8D It gets even more fun when I play it in multiplayer mode. Most of the time it's just me and my brother in Minecraft, though.

I just wish I had the patience and genius mind to create huge castles and amazing contraptions.

GinKadia 06-09-2012 02:08 PM

Minecraft is way more fun in multiplayer for sure!

Arkkath 06-09-2012 07:17 PM

That's why I play on creative mode. I find building things on a huge scale is much more fun.

GinKadia 06-09-2012 09:25 PM

I find when I'm on Creative mode I can't decide on what to build :p

Arkkath 06-10-2012 12:51 AM

When I first started playing in creative, I was like that.
What really helps is to look up videos of large minecraft builds. They're great sources of inspiration.
A lot of it is just experimenting on how to use various block types.
And of course, choosing a texture pack that will give you the kind of feel you want is pretty important too.

GinKadia 06-10-2012 02:08 PM

When I get back home, to my desktop, I think I'll try that.

I've played around with texture packs before but not for very long.

Admonish Misconstruction 06-11-2012 01:56 PM

At first all I did was Creative but as more and more updates have come out for Minecraft I've found myself playing survival so much more (also because I play the beta releases so none of my mods are updated). There's just so much to do now in survival that can be so rewarding. At least to me.

GinKadia 07-07-2012 02:47 AM

Less than 2 weeks and then... Let the minecraft marathon begin.

Liztress 07-08-2012 12:37 AM

We finally broke bad and got Minecraft today. It's mainly for my oldest but I'm going to say that I'm enjoying it too.

I want to build a Castle on a Cloud in minecraft.

Arkkath 07-21-2012 09:33 AM

You can't build on the actual clouds, but you could probably use snow blocks.
Just make sure you build it above a snowy biome so it doesn't melt.

GinKadia 07-21-2012 05:50 PM

I was thinking of using white wool blocks but Snow blocks would work too.

Arkkath 07-21-2012 09:40 PM

White wool could work too. Depends on what texture pack you're using though.

Artifex 07-22-2012 06:12 PM

I've heard terraria is awesome, I'm not sure about it yet tho.
