I wonder if the new Minecraft Realms will be a good option to open a Mene server. You don't need all that complicated knowledge stuff [rofl] But it's still not available in the US.

I'd definitely like to come to a Mene server!

I looked into some stuff that's available now. The biggest problem I see with it is that we'd need a Host somewhere that would reach all the places decently.

I have a spare laptop for hosting a server... but no place to host with :(

It's not hosting a server that would be a problem. I'd be willing to hire a small one, just for Mene users.
The problem is the connections to that server. I know I'll get terrible connection, solely because I'm in Australia.

Far too difficult to run one. My friend does it. He spent $1200 on the server.
If I can hire one for $10 a month or something, It's much more worth it.

Or you can turn a computer into a server...

If I were to do that, Everyone who isn't Wonderlands would barely be able to play. Between Australian Internet speeds and just the distance between me and everyone, trying to place a block would probably take a minute or two.

I was bored once, so I went to a server with the "No dirt houses" rule and built a dirt mansion, just to see what happens...

Yeah, the sand never loaded right, so you'd have large empty masses of land .

Apparently Mesa got fixed, I found this seed online.

So... Xbox version just got desert temples and carrot on a stick. XD
I still like it, we end up just playing "explore" and not "build awesome stuff". I downloaded the skyrim mod but haven't gotten to play with it much. The torches don't light up enough. :<

Skyrim mod? What'd it give? I use MoCreatures mostly

It's on the xbox version. so basically it gives you a skyrim-like world to run around in with new textures, so the wools look like crates or different types of wall.
