Waking from her slumber, whispers slowly stretched her legs as she stood up. Looking over she saw her two companions were still sleeping. From the look of things it seemed to be closer to mid day. we must have all been exhausted Hearing some sort of outburst from the camp below them, she ventures outside to see if anything can be seen from the cliffs without herself being noticed.
The wind was blowing as she stood there in the sunlight. She sighed in pleasure as the wind whipped through her hair. that feels so good. What a nice way to be woken up As she closed her eyes in contentment, suddenly she stiffened as she caught the faint scent of another fae, a male fae at that. Relaxing a bit as she realized it must be coming from the camp. The others would probably need to know about this. Great, just how many more people are there in this forest and camp? Just what we need |
He chuckled at the autumn-hued pixie and knelt down beside her. "Are you and your friends from these woods?"
Ari was awakened when she heard Whispers move from the cave. Sitting up slowly and rethinking the day before her eyes adjusted to the dim cave as she slowly stood and looked down to see Delimant still sleeping. With a soft smile Ari quietly slipped from the cave to see what had cause Whispers to get up. Stretching happily in the sun Ari walked towards Whispers with a smile. "Good Morning."
Delimant awoke from his slumber against a rock, and looked around. No one else was in the cave, so he was the last one to awaken. He got up, stretched, and dusted himself off before venturing out to where the others were. Seeing that they had already started talking, he quietly joined them without saying anything.
October shook her head. "Umm not that I know." She said, "Only Tzip is local to the woods. My village was distroyed by some evil stange person, so i have no home anymore."
"I am very sorry to hear that." he responded, fully sitting beside her now. "Very happy to see you here, how did your family fair in the ordeal?"
Ari's ears twitched as Delimant approached them from the cave. "Good Morning to you." She greeted him. "Sleep well?" Looking down at the camp Ari noticed the additions to the camp and frowned. How many of them are there? She thought slightly worried if these creatures were hostile.
Lin shook her head and said "I'm not from around here ether. I'm from a town that is very far away from here.". Lin laid back and sighed, she was bored and hungry.
Nassii quickly looked up at Lin. "How far away, if I may ask?"
October looked away and too Lin. "Who is coming?" She asked looking all around the forest.
"About 60,000 miles at most. It may sound like a lot but it wasn't. I flew for most of the trip here." Lin said as she looked at Afansii.
Whispers looked up as Ari joined her. "I heard a strange sound from the camp below and I was enjoying the breeze when I caught a faint scent of another fae. It seemed to be coming from the camp. It seems as if the camp is growing. The question would be whether they are hostile or not. Seems to me that our options are quite limited. We can either stay in the forest and hope to survive or go down there and find out just what we are up against. Of course that is just my opinion, what do you guys think?"
She had noticed Delimant had joined them and nodded to him as she was talking. Not thinking she stretched her uncloaked wings out to fully stretch her body. Her eyes widened in horror as she realized what she had done. She looked at Ari with a stricken look on her face. |
"You must be tired." He responded with a warm smile. "Or is it that you've been here for quite some time already?"
"I've been here for a day or three, not sure. My wings are still hurting, it was a long and hard trip." Lin said as she stretched her wings.
Ari smiled as she watched Whispers wings stretch out. I see. So that is what she was hiding. "You are right, our options are limited." Pacing towards the edge of the waterfall Ari looked down and debated distance. "We could have one of us go down and feel out the situation. See if they are hostile or not. The other two can be back up in case something goes wrong. But if this camp continues growing we might not want to face all of the members at once, if we meet a few and they prove friendly then maybe the rest will not be a problem?" Watching the activity in the camp for a moment longer Ari turned back to Whispers and Delimant. "Beautiful wings by the way." She said smiling.
Delimant nodded in reply to Ari's question and commented back, "As well as one can sleep out in the wilderness." He overheard their conversation about the addition of another fae, and noted that Whispers was giving away her inner abilities. When she let out her wings, he was sure that she had blown her cover. Luckily, Ari was not hostile to faes.
After listening for a bit longer, Delimant decided to comment on the situation. "Perhaps it would be best if we ambushed one or two of the members as they are leaving the camp to get a feel for the situation. We have no idea how strong they are, and if they are friends with each other or like us." |
October tried her wings. She flaped and got a little off the ground and then fell down again. "grr they are still not dry." SHe said.
"I can imagine." he responded, smiling. He ran his eyes over her for a moment and then slowly turned to look about. "Did I hear a mention of some food here? I must admit I haven't eaten anything all day."
"Not such a bother considering I haven't been awake for very long." He thought to himself, "But they needn't know that." |
Lin nodded and said "Yup, theirs a bore on the fire.". Lin pointed at the fire and smiled. "I think it will be ready in a little while." she said.
Relaxing with relief, she nodded. "I think that would probably be best for all of us. We should try to get closer and see who would be best to ambush. Hopefully it won't come to blows." Going closer to the cliff she looks down. "It doesn't look far, we should be able to reach the bottom in less than an hour." Glancing back at Ari, "Thank you, I actually didn't mean to reveal them but now that you know it doesn't matter since you don't seem to have any issues with fae." Smiling she stretches her wings once more, creating a gust of wind. Turning to the others, "Shall we go?"
"Ah!" He raised his eyebrows and looked to the fire. "What would you like to do in the meantime?"
"Eh I don't know. We can get some fruit, theirs a few bushes and trees not to far from here that has fruit on them" Lin said as she got up and stretched.
(OMG Pandaz)
"Well, it doesn't have to relate to food, I was more curious... what you enjoy doing to pass the time." |
"I normally draw on the ground with a stick or fly, but I don't think I can fly at the moment, my wings hurt to much." Lin said as she grabbed a stick and drew on the ground.
"I see" he nodded. "I tend to tell stories or play guessing games. When I'm lucky enough to have company." He smiled wide.
