But I don't want scurvy. D:

The penny tip? Oh no, couldn't do that. I'll just stay at home x3.

Aw... I don't like to think people were born daft and unfortunate. It's sad, there's so much to be happy for once you start comparing. You're not in a working camp in Siberia for example. Still wouldn't mind several hundred million dollars but there's still plenty to be happy for until I get that.

Oh, no. It's from Batman. I just wasn't watching Batman at the time. Now I'm watching the Avengers. Sort of... a "catch up on films that came out because I've been watching too many documentaries" Friday night.

So what are you up to this Friday night?

Scurvy is good for you! ;)

Lol, yeah, I was just joking. I had a friend do that once and I thought it was mean. The waitress did keep giving all of us at the table dirty looks, though.

Being born into a family that looks at the world that way is pretty much the same thing in my book. I'm always telling my mother (who doesn't have an optimistic bone in her body) that: there is a pantry overflowing with food, you've got a house, two brand new cars sitting in the driveway, a husband that comes home every day. Why aren't you grateful?

I thought so. XD Figured you were messing me, there. I do need to watch the new Batman movie, speaking of. I haven't seen it, because, well, I live in Colorado and we all know what happened to the people who went to see Batman here.

I was just lounging around. Poking about on the internet, watching t.v. I went and read a book when you asked that question.

Admonish Misconstruction 09-22-2012 08:59 PM

Elysium - This is interesting... I always check my computer right around when someone posts... hmmm...

I'll have to consult my doctor on that one x3.

Our enviroment creates a lot of what we think and how feel. Hopefully she smiles; you can enjoy yourself and be a pessamist :3.

Aurora was so unfortunate... It reminded me of Fort Hood. People lost their lives because nobody followed up on legitimate warnings from trustworthy sources.

How Friday nights should be! x3 What book?

ElysiumFate 09-23-2012 03:21 AM

I have a habit of doing that, too. I can have gone three hours without checking, but there I am, replying two minutes after someone posts because I've got psychic powers.

I was devastated the day that Aurora happened. I watched the news all day just shaking my head.

Oh, it's just a stereotypical Victorian historical romance. I'm quite enjoying it, though. I haven't read any romance novels in years, and the assholery of the Earl in this one makes my day.

Admonish Misconstruction 09-23-2012 04:11 AM

Can we have a psychic club too? I mean, something a little more on the edge might fit better on my resume. "Official Post Psychic."

I just wish the police had listened to the psych's warning. If anything, hopefully this serves as a lesson: follow warnings.

I love a good earl! Always reminds me of Prince Humperdink or Sheriff Nottingham. One of my favorite characters of late has been Tyrion Lannister.

serena yuy 09-23-2012 04:12 AM

Lol! I could go hours without checking ^^" I get distracted by something else :/

ElysiumFate 09-23-2012 04:20 AM

By all means...but I don't know who would care if you were a post psychic. [lol]

To be fair, this guy seemed completely normal until a few months before the incident.

Ahh, Tyrion is fun. :) I really loved Khal Drogo in the first season of GoT. I need to rewatch the first season, and then watch the second. I've not gotten to it because I forgot so much of the first season before the second came out. I do love that series, though.

@Ser: I do do that sometimes, too. I get to watching youtube vids, or a movie, or a book, and blam...gone.

Admonish Misconstruction 09-23-2012 07:12 AM

Serena - Hours? What if something happened to us and you were too distracted to help? D:

Like, zombies. Or something.

Elysium - Well, I would topple world powers... for a start.

A sudden change of behavior, a psychatrist's warning a month prior, there's really no excuse. I understand law enforcement agencies get warning all the time but ones from teachers (Virginia Tech), psychatrists (Aurora), and intelligence sources (Foot Hood) should really be followed up on. The other half that slip through our fingers can be stopped by armed law-abbiding citizens like with the Appalachian Law school Shoot and the Pearl, Miss school shooting.

Khal Drogo was really good, especially compared to the books. It's sad that he's killed off so early... the second season was pretty good too! The third's going to be really good I'm sure. You should go rewatch them x3.

LonelyOtaku97 09-23-2012 02:34 PM

@admonished: yeah I heard psychiatrists had a warning from the Aurora shooter he got kicked out of school and the psychiatrists did say something was wrong. Now columbine was different I don't think anyone knew something was wrong with those 2 boys until it was to late.

nemo.love_22 09-23-2012 03:04 PM

admonished nonsense: Sorry - I totally forgot to come back. I managed to fall asleep after 5 am, and woke up at 9:30, but I did manage a bit more sleep last night, thankfully! =]

serena yuy 09-23-2012 07:56 PM

Ack, Sunday, lazy, tired :/

ElysiumFate 09-23-2012 09:05 PM

Sunday, cleaning, yes. [lol]

serena yuy 09-23-2012 09:10 PM

I usually do most of my cleaning on monday in the morning when I get up. Did some of my normal monday chores already today. I cleaned off the stove. Usually wait till Monday, but last night while I was a bit buzzed, I made something to eat and I guess I spilled a little of it on on the stove into the burner. ^^"
So, when I saw it this morning, I cleaned it.
I think my roommate has come to the conclusion (or at least I hope by now) that yes, I do leave stuff out, forget to do dishes for a day (or 2), and may spill something and not clean up right then. But, it does get cleaned within a little. ^^" I'm pretty good at not leaving the kitchen a mess. ^^

ElysiumFate 09-23-2012 09:21 PM

I clean about once a month. Like a good thorough cleaning. In between I just do the necessities. Today it's going to be laundry and hopefully vacuuming.

I clean things before they start to stink. I don't like dirty dishes and shit lying around, so generally I'll just put them straight in the dishwasher.

LonelyOtaku97 – There were numerous warnings before the Columbine shootings. Very seldom do these warnings get released in the news and media. Nobody wants to stand up and say, “We didn’t do our job properly.” Instead they blame something else and enact ridiculously pointless and often negative laws to make their consciousness purr. The FBI had numerous warnings on the Fort Hood shooter, the Columbine shooting had numerous warnings, Virginia Tech, and the Aurora shooter’s psychiatrist warned of Holm’s dangerous potential. There are almost always warnings; people don’t just get up and start shooting for no reason.

Relating to the Columbine shooting one of the shooters had a hit list, bomb making guides, and plans on a website that was even showed to the local sheriff’s department. The sheriff’s department even found a pipe bomb. The shooters were showing weapons to fellow students, videos of them shooting the weapons, writing disturbing class assignments, and numerous other warnings. One of the shooters even had a history of crime. They weren’t exactly soft and subtle warnings. Virginia Tech, Foot Hood, Aurora, and Columbine could have been averted if people were doing what they were supposed to do.

I’d do three things: a. Work on moving the media’s and society’s focus away from violence. This plays a major roll. b. Follow through on information given from reliable sources. The United States’ puts far too much stock on psychical securities: pat downs, metal detectors, and so on. We should be using more psychological means like: studying behavior, looking for warning signs, tell tails, etc. Israel is famous for doing this, especially with their airports. That’s one reason why the Israeli’s have a far better safety record than TSA and have been offering to train TSA. c. Allow law-abiding citizens with concealed handgun licenses to carry on campuses. It’s a fantasy to believe that vicious predators that ignore laws against murder, mayhem, and rape will follow “gun-free-zones” and whatnot. Plus civilians have a far better safety record than police relating to defensive firearm use.

Nemo - No problem ^^. Four and a half hours? D: At least you got some sleep. It's hard to operate on so few hours.

serena yuy 09-23-2012 11:41 PM

I'm planning on doing laundry while watching the football game tonight

---------- Post added 09-23-2012 at 08:48 PM ----------
