@nonsense: Yes it is. ^.^ Tomorrow I have to put together my Halloween costume and decorate my house.

The storm is just giving me lots of wind and rain. Not as bad as my friends in NYC though
I'm charging up my netbook and will charge my phone more, and charge my DS so I have something to do if the power does go out tonight and into tomorrow.

The thing though is even if they close the campus (which is unlikely) I will still have to go into work most likely. But, I don't have class tomorrow, so when I get home after 4, I will spend all that time working on my assignment due tomorrow night.

I could deal with the rain, but I hate wind. Always have, always will.

That would be the worst bit. My laptop has a battery life grand total of 3 1/2 hours or so. My phone lasts almost 10 days without needing to be charged, so that would be fine.

I heard they closed the freaking STOCK MARKET for the storm. If it gets bad enough, I'm sure they'll close your work.

And now I just heard they shut down the subways.

@nonsense: Awh, that sucks. I have a normal day of school, but if I decorate tomorrow, then I'll have time to dress up and hand out candy on Halloween.

They stopped service for the subways and the transportation around 7pm last night out there.
ConEd (the electric company out there) shut the power down a couple hours ago to make sure there would be less damage to the subway once there was flooding reported. So, some of the tunnels are flooded.

I'm all the way in Buffalo NY (which is around 6-7hr away from NYC). All we have is some wind. It's not expected to get over 70 for gusts. But, if they close the campus because of a power outage.. I still have to call work and find out if I still have to come in since I work in something essential... food service. We still have to feed students who live in the dorms above the food court.

My class was cancelled for tomorrow because she didn't want us out in the weather if it's still nasty tomorrow, plus we have students who come from all over the area and even Rochester (Which is an hour away on the Thruway)


I'm not doing anything for Halloween this year :( Which is really depressing for me.
I have class Wednesday till 7, I have an assignment due Thursday night anyway ^^"
I didn't really think to get anything to decorate my apartment for Halloween since I had to go home a few times with Mike. But, I do take advantage of the really marked down prices after the 31st. I'll just have to find a way to the store on that Saturday. ^^"

People in the midwest where I am don't tend to care about hurricanes as much as they should. We get the tornadoes and hail, but never have to deal with coast weather. So hearing the subways shut down is shocking.

My class Thursday is cancelled because it's the day after Halloween. [sweat] It's nice. I do have to spend that night studying though.

I'm sorry you don't get to do anything for Halloween. I don't really get to either. It's just sitting at home in a costume handing out candy.

I would like to sit around and hand candy out. I'll do that in a couple years. ^^

I usually don't have class on Thursdays, so I get to get out of work (hopefully on time) and go bakc and finish the assignment due that day.

Eh. I've done candy duty for so many years that it's lost its appeal. But I have a reputation as the best house in the neighborhood to uphold. [lol]

I just miss being around for halloween. It is annoying having to be stuck in school and have nothing to do but a crapload of assignments. :/

I'm pretty much in the same position. Halloween isn't that much fun when it's during school time.

Yeah, if all goes well, I finish and get my degree in 2014, Halloween falls on a Friday that year. I'll be done in school and plan on sitting at Mike's house helping his mom hand candy out.

Oh yeah, Senior year. I remember that, it was a horrid as Year1 grad school is right now.

lol! I ate a late lunch because I was sick this morning. I didn't eat lunch till going on 4, then I ate dinner at 8 I think.

I ate a humongous lunch from the Taco Bell in the cafeteria. It was delicious, but I had eater's remorse so I thought I wasn't going to eat again today. Nope.

I've had those days. After I ate the ramen at 4, i didn't think I would eat again because of how I was feeling all day. I did get a little hungry, so I made soup. I did snack on some cheeze-its too, but now I am definitely done eating. I'll probably take some more of my stomach stuff and relax

Awh, upset stomachs are no good. :P

I was nervous all day, so that didn't help my appetite beyond the pigging out at lunch. I thought I'd failed something, but I didn't.

I didn't eat too well on Sunday and had a little bit to drink. The mixture did not bode well. :/ I woke up this morning and had to throw up. Ended up doing that 3 times
Good thing I don't work Mondays. I did feel better after the 3rd time and then I was just a little nauseous and took care of that with some antacid stuff I bought today when I went to the cvs.

And even if the school shuts down... I still have to go to work most likely to feed this whiny brats.

Though I get to deal with them being unhappy they still have class b/c their professor didn't cancel.

@Ely: I don't have a set style i'm more the person who throws on whatever and is good to go which used to drive my friends crazy. Use butter if your cat does get a hairball and with Maggie shes short haired so hairballs aren't uncommon but her fur does get everywere in my room.

Aw and the house that would hand out soda pop that was awesome to and theres a neighborhood around were I live that does that to.

After awhile I would always wonder where the heck these people got the money to get the full sized candy bars.
