Thank you :D that means a lot!

Do you have any classes that are sucking out your soul?

Goblin Maiden 03-12-2011 04:59 PM

Yes, all of them right now. X___x I had a rough period and now I'm trying to catch up.

BlackCart29 03-12-2011 05:31 PM

I don't mind history, I imagine I'll feel the same when I have to take Maths next year.

*cheers on*

Goblin Maiden 03-12-2011 05:33 PM

Maaaths. *Mai shudders in fear* I am so glad I never have to take that again.

sarofset 03-12-2011 05:43 PM

I have a psyche paper, which I'm dreading writing. It's due Wednesday. :( I'm fuzzy on the citation and everything, and the material I am using to study is from a not so good scan of an article. XD

Liquid Diamond 03-12-2011 05:52 PM

This paper that I'm writing for history is more than half of my grade. If I fail it, I fail the class.

And he doesn't agree with my topic, and he told me he'll be reading it critically.
Doesn't make me feel good, nor does it improve my chances :x

seaturtle16 03-12-2011 07:00 PM

I'm sorry to hear you're all swamped in papers and homework and stuff. One of the perks of going to Culinary School is the severe lack of traditional "school work."

On the downside, I have class 8 hours a day...but I think that's a fair trade.

BlackCart29 03-12-2011 07:59 PM

Fair enough, def. Seabo.

seaturtle16 03-12-2011 09:39 PM

Sometimes it feel like I'm not at a "real college" and then I remember how much work it is, regardless of whether or not I have to write 8-page papers. It's just a different kind of work. Like a drawing class, versus a Roman History class. It all evens out, in the end.

BlackCart29 03-12-2011 09:43 PM

Well, yeah. It's just a different kind of work. It's more akin to vocational education because it's hands on as opposed to purely academic.

You still have so much gold.

seaturtle16 03-12-2011 09:59 PM

I've started hoarding for the event. I won't be spending any until then, if all goes as planned.

Also, I'm such a dork: I was searching for chef gear on Mene and I was bothered that the buttons on the male and female chef coats are buttoned in the same direction. Eek.

BlackCart29 03-12-2011 10:09 PM

HAHAHA I:heart:YOU

Yeah, @General: Anyone have any idea when the event would be? Also? Uni thread? Thoughts?

ElysiumFate 03-13-2011 12:28 AM

The event will probably start on St. Patty's Day. That seems to be the trend anymore, though I think that it should start a couple of days before and end a couple of days after instead of going for the week after the holiday. Kinda stupid that they do that, in my opinion.

BlackCart29 03-13-2011 01:14 AM

Yeah, I guess that is how it has been going, so ... that's the 17th?

Also, I agree with you - they should start a bit before, esp. for the bigger ones like Halloween and Christmas where people are out celebrating for an extended period of time.

Clair Voyant 03-13-2011 01:17 AM

Evening, everyone. ^^ How goes it?

devcul 03-13-2011 01:18 AM

ello.

ElysiumFate 03-13-2011 01:21 AM

The 17th indeed. :)

I'm good, but I'm tired. I just spent the last couple of days celebrating the beginning of my spring break with a friend. Went ice skating today (my knee hurts >.>) and stayed up all night yesterday watching movies. Also went out and saw Red Riding Hood. Crazy/odd movie, that.

devcul 03-13-2011 01:22 AM

i have a friend that went to red riding hood at 2 pm, so far im pretty sure it was made by the makers of twilight?

ElysiumFate 03-13-2011 01:22 AM

Lol. Yes. And it's very obvious.

devcul 03-13-2011 01:23 AM

Mhm, Odd is a prime factor for twilight, and or Red Riding Hood.

----------

(Apologies, i'm from london.)

ElysiumFate 03-13-2011 01:25 AM

We went at 7:00 p.m. last night.

It was like...sadistically funny? If that makes sense. You can tell that the same people who animated the werewolves in Twilight were responsible for the werewolf in Red Riding Hood. It was hideously obvious how fake and CGI-ish that movie is.

My friend adored it...but I think that's because she's addicted to both Twilight and pretty-boys. Red Riding Hood was a combination of both. I thought it was a predictable storyline that used pretty boys to draw people in.

----------

Neato. :) Now I'm going to instinctively read all of your posts in an accent, though. Lol.

devcul 03-13-2011 01:28 AM

heh, exactly.. and Yes, Neato indeed! I have a accent, and as the irony begins i love the type of riddle games such as professor layton and the unwounded future with the tick clocks and the peniwhistles.. im not sure there is any peniwhistles in that game, But really, i just love the riddles.

ElysiumFate 03-13-2011 01:33 AM

Haha. I'm atrocious at riddles. When people ask me them I either look at them like O.O if I've never heard it before or I shoot out the answer because I've been fooled by it once already.

The first time somebody asked me the one: "A cowboy rides in on Sunday, stays three days, and leaves on Sunday. How did he do this?" It took me three days of pondering to figure out that Sunday was his friggin' horse. >.>

I'm a straight A student with an IQ of 140, but riddles baffle me for some reason.

devcul 03-13-2011 01:36 AM

im an IQ of 200, straight A+ Student, Riddles dont at all baffle for any reason, i know every riddle the 2nt minute you give me.

ElysiumFate 03-13-2011 01:42 AM

Niiice. :D

I just like to over think things, I suppose. My mind doesn't like simple answers, which is what most riddles usually have. With the Sunday joke, for example. My brain had to go through the idea of time portals, and string theory, and physics, and all of those wonderful ideas.

Anyway, I hate to, but I have to poof. I'm off for dinner.
