Yeah, tomorrow-thur I'm with him since he doesn't have to work till Friday (he has an 1hr long meeting thursday), we're spending the evening with some friends.
Fri-sun I'm with dad. I'm spending Christmas eve-day with Mike. We're spending monday-wed together since he took next wednesday off ^^ |
Sounds fun, sounds fun. :)
I'm looking forward to Christmas--I have no idea what's in my presents (except the one I accidentally found the receipt for) XP so it's going to be fun. |
Mike keeps telling me I'll really like what he got me. I'm getting a bit antsy to find out what he got me. Oh well, got a week left till I find out :)
|
Yeah, I'm antsy to find out as well, but at the same time I don't want Christmas to be over.
|
@serena: There's a cookbook? O.o I can't even think of... Like, 10 things to do with Ramen! Yeesh! Heh.
@Ely: Send some of that snow over here! We're supposed to start getting snow over the weekend, but... I'm kinda impatient. Besides, Lake Effect snow is hit-or-miss over here. I want something definite. @Hatake: Sriracha... Hear so many people talking about it, have yet to try it. -.- Had a co-worker back in KY that literally put it on EVERYTHING, and swore by it. @Everyone: Mini Christmas trees, perfect sizes for a desk, and battery-operated lights. :D College Decoration Survival 101 right there. ;) |

Yeah its snowing here to and very windy thank god I didn't have to work today I never would have made it lol. I need to get more reading done myself and I'm almost done with It and then its off to read the Hunger Games.
|
You can do it, Dia!
@Hatake: That works for me! A lot of my recipes are over complicated--I'm always looking for easy recipes that still taste like they took hours. @Jedi: It's already practically melted. This snow won't stick around for a white Christmas, unfortunately. >.> |
@Ely: Damn... That's no bueno. -.- But it look more and more like we're gonna get jacked up over here with wind and snow anyway, so... Yeha...
|
Hopefully we'll get some more, but who knows. Weather in Colorado is very temperamental, but usually it's sunny. ^^
Well, hopefully it won't be too bad and you'll just get to enjoy the snow later. [yes] |
@Ely: I'll enjoy the snow no matter what. Heh. It's been about 10 years since I've seen a major snowfall. :D
|
Oh wow, that has been quite some time! We were hit with a huge snow last year that destroyed all the trees. It was the only snow we got, though.
When I was still in high school we got a snow so large that we had about four snow days in a row. I still have pictures of that around somewhere. |
Hah! My school very rarely had a snow day. I remember standing out and waiting for the bus many a time when the temps were negative. It was SOOOOO much fun. :P
But yeah, military service out west in California will wreck your winter experience, if you're used to being in the snowbelt. Not recommended. |
It was generally pretty easy to expect one snow day per year when I was a kid. Come to think of it, we've not had one yet this year. It'd be nice to get a Monday off from college. XP
Yeah, I spent a few mornings out in negative weather when I was in Elementary. That's when I decided riding the bus was not for me. We really don't get much snow here. At least we haven't had much snow here in the last several years. It's just that when it does snow, it tends to dump, which means the one time it snows each year we get a snow day. I think people presume that since Colorado is in the midwest, it snows a lot, and that's not at all true. We've got over 300 days a year of blue skies, and most bad weather hits the mountains. |
Huh. I don't consider Colorado to be midwest... It's too far... Uhm... West? :D And I for one figured that the worst of the weather happened in the mountains, but it's interesting to hear the rest of the state seemed to be like Cali in the weather aspect.
|
I guess its midwest lol the Rockies get more snow than Pueblo we maybe got an inch or two thats it.
|
Seems we're getting the wind and rain first, then it's gonna change to snow tonight and tomorrow. Yay. Heh.
Anyway... Anyone in any fun groups / societies / clubs at their school? |
Um no not really I'm not one for the clubs, and sorry the wind and snow is heading your way.
|
Oh, like I said, I'll take the snow. :)
Oy, I feel like I'm filling my school time with a bunch of stuff then! Pep Band, working for IT, volunteer as a DJ over at the radio station, part of the Student Veterans club... |
Lol, Colorado is pretty much as midwest as it gets. I think the term midwest was made up for the state of Colorado.
Anyway, no, I'm not in any clubs. I may join something next semester, but who knows. I didn't feel like involving myself in clubs during my first semester at my new college. I was stressed enough. |
Heh... Totally understand that, Ely... But I went ahead and joined a whole bunch of stuff anyway. Haven't torn my hair out yet, so I suppose I'm doing something right.
|
Ach, sorry I'm so ditsy about replying. I'm working on a plethora of Christmas cards right now and I'm having a hell of a time finding all of the addresses. XD
Yeah, I've never been a club person. I was an editor in yearbook for several years in high school, but have a hard time wanting to be involved in clubs in college because of how far away I live. |
Shoot, don't worry about it! I was a bad guy, and didn't do any Christmas cards this year. *le sigh* I'm such a bad holiday celebrator. O.o
Yeah, distance is a big thing. It helps I live pretty much across the street from campus, a 5 minute walk from our Science Center. :) So I can be involved. Should I be? Probably not, considering I'm loaded up with classes. But... Eh... Whatever! :D |
