@Ely: Smart plan! :D
|
*nod nod*
I'm generally a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. Hopefully this'll be a happy medium between quitting entirely for a semester and killing myself again with four classes I don't even want to be in because I'm burnt out. |
I don't think I'll even be getting a summer break. Heh. Need to try and "catch up" so maybe I can run this school fun in less than 4 years. :)
|
If you can hack it, by all means. I did summer school two years in a row, and it was enough for me. I've got better things to do with my summers while I'm still young.
---------- Post added 01-06-2013 at 03:22 PM ---------- Oh, on a bright note. I'm really starting to love my laptop. I was questioning it for the first couple of days. |
Glad to hear the lappy's growing on ya! Still on the hunt for my own.
|
I still hate the hell out of 8, but after I downloaded start8 there's not that much wrong with it.
You'll find a good one. They've got some nice cheap ones out there if you're willing to look. |
Yeah, I've been looking around. Unfortunately I have expensive tastes.
And I also want a gaming laptop. With Blu-Ray. I'm hard to buy for on a budget. Heh. |
Well, then the cheapest one of those on the market atm is the one I bought. It's an hp dv6-7214nr. Bluray player and all the goods.
But yeah, I understand. I usually end up wanting the most expensive thing as well. |
I'll have to take a look at that.
|
For some reason my cat has an obsession with my gold skullcandy earbuds. She always comes and sits by me and then tries to eat them. *smacks* /random but her cat's doing it atm.
Yeah, it's the most upgraded laptop on the market for now. In its price range anyway. |
Your cat is truly oddball. :D
And yeah, it doesn't look bad from what I've seen. How are the graphics? You do any gaming on it? |
Runs Skyrim like a champ, and it's got the highest res screen I've ever seen. Actually have to turn down the res to be able to read things on the internet.
Also, it runs Skyrim on Ultra. So that should say something. BUT. If you want to do that you'll need a laptop cooling pad for it. |
Eh, I can deal with grabbing a cooling pad for home use. Heh. :D
|
Yeah, they aren't that expensive. I have a logitech one that is light and quite. You have to have a cooling pad period if you want to game on a laptop as far as I know.
|
Not all of 'em, honestly. I had a couple computers that were very gaming-oriented that had the extra exhaust fans built-in and what not. Cooling pads weren't really needed there.
But I'd probably feel safer / better with a cooler. :D |
This computer has a built in fan that runs exclusively on the graphics card, so I don't know if it could handle it on its own or not, but I think in the long run, any laptop is better off with a cooling pad.
|
Yeah, I hear ya. :)
I just ordered $37 of battery and AC adapter to hopefully get my netbook back running until I get a new new computer. |
Awesome sauce! I hope it works for you--I couldn't deal with a laptop that didn't work for very long.
|
Yeah, here's hoping. -.- It's not the greatest machine, but I can get SOME use out of it.
|
I love having a laptop I hope you can get your laptop working soon Jedi.
|
Thanks, Lonely!
Parts should be delivered Tuesday... Thank you, Amazon Prime! |
Yay! I bet your happy so what was wrong with your laptop?
Hey guess what I get to see my guy this weekend I'm so happy. |
@Lonely: Bad battery, and the AC adapter was fried on it. So that's what's ordered. If there's anything else wrong with it, I'm stuck for a while -.-
And yay for getting to see your guy! XD |
@Jedi: Oh no that can be a problem I hope that helps. Yes it will be good to finally see him after two weeks, and the only bad part is the wait.
|
The wait for ANYTHING is always the bad part.
