HELLO there! I think I'm here to reprise my roll as neighborhood insomniac. NO SUCH THING AS SLEEP WITH 18 CREDITS AS AN ANTHROPOLOGY MAJOR FWAHAHAHAHA (I lost my mind the first week into the new semester...)

@Happy: Dang, that's crazy how many credits you're taking. I am taking an easier semester with 10 credits...except they're made up of difficult classes. It was either that or take the semester completely off.

I'm doing it so I can finish up next year with my Anth Major and a Dance Minor. Next year, if I'm able to take (and pass) the test I'll need to prove a sufficient level in Foreign language (German) I should be able to get away with 16 credits per semester. But 12 is the minimum for full-time students, which I need for my Financial aid. It's rough with all the reading, and I'm not looking forward to when the deadlines for papers start rolling in. But I figure I'll enjoy it more if I'm hanging out on here at the same time. :)

Yeah, I've been there, but I just spent the last few years in summer school instead of overloading on classes during normal semesters. And I get it. I sought out Mene in the first place to have some place to chat and get away from real life school and stuff.

Yeahh...I went a while without Mene. But my sanity has dropped into the negatives. Soooo I'm back for some good ol' internet socialization! I'd do summer classes if I could afford them, but the school jacks up the prices for summer classes and offer no financial aid for it. So I'm stuck with what I've got.

Yeah, I think a lot of people have done the same thing. The people who used to frequent this thread a couple years back are just gone for who knows why.

That's lame what your school does. My prices all stayed the same during the summer, which is why I did them. I won't be doing them this year, though, or probably ever again if I can help it. Summer classes are the definition of sanity draining.

For their sake, I hope it's because they're living fun and exciting lives. I left because I had to address a number of issues going on with my little world here.

We can only hope, yeah? I've thought of leaving just to deal with life, but I dunno. I figure both can be handled together if I'm careful.

Yeah, I had time where I wasn't on here for some reason. I guess because I wanted to deal with stuff, or just couldn't be on here. Now I'm on a lot because I have a few people whom I talk to

I feel ya, Jedi. So much. I mean, I think school kinda loses its purpose when it starts to feel like it's holding you back from incredible goals. BUT, I'm only a year away from finishing so I figure I may as well get through it. :)

Lol, I would be fine if this were just a niece. This is a great niece. As in my step brother's daughter just had a kid at 17. So. I'm a great aunt. I should be 50 for this shit. Or older.

I think the only thing you can do at this point is take advantage of the "Great" title and make demands to be near your great-niece for optimal brainwashing. >.>

I'm pretty estranged from that part of the family, and I'm not a kid person anyway, so unfortunately I don't think that'll do me that much good. BUT. I do like the idea of demanding to be called the all GREAT and powerful aunt. [lol]

I'm just kinda tired of everyone around me getting pregnant or married at such young ages. It's getting old.

Yeah, I thought you might've read that one wrong. [lol] It's not her fault she made me a great aunt, though. My step bro is 15 or 20 years older than me because my dad accidentally had him before he met my mom a little later and married her. Then my mom had infertility problems so I didn't come into the picture for quite some time.

I don't really want anything to do with my step bro and such. My mom would be having one of her kinder days if she just said that she loathed my step bro. And be it that my mom is a bit of an ass, and hatred is a really strong word, but it's not undeserved by my step bro. He did really messed up things when he was younger.

And that's fine. It's not like I don't disappear a lot, too. I watch a lot of old cartoons in the background while I'm doing other stuff.

@Starr: That has something to do with it. One of my close friends who lives out here aboslutely loves the series (she has one of the lockets tattooed on her chest)
But yeah... It's because of the reboot. I remembered while watching the show atm that it was one of my fave sgrowing up

Ahh, well. It's not like I actually have to deal with this one face to face. That part of my family lives in Arizona and Minnesota. Haven't seen the girl since I was 10 or so. I always hear about that side of the familia when something like this happens, unfortunately.

That girl's been having problems for years. She was getting in trouble with drugs at like 14, and they thought she was pregnant last year, I think, and she wasn't. Then now we just find out she had a kid today. With this kinda circumstance you just hope they wake up.

woo, have to go down to south campus again so I can get to a bank and deposit all of these checks I have ^^" I can't really get to the one near me up here by north because the buses that take us near it only run 2 days a week, the other way I'd have to go is via the public transit, but I don't have cash on me.
So, I guess I get to go to South Campus and hit up the one that's within a 5 min walking distance from the bust stop for the inter-campus bus.

Meh. I don't really care what she does, or what that family does since I was never close to them. With that stuff I always just hope it stays in that world, I stay in mine, and that things go better for them in the future.

Anyway, little day trips like that are fun. At least I'm the kinda person that likes that stuff. XD
