Awwhh, the kid needs a birthday party. I hope that it works out. [yes]

serena yuy 08-24-2013 06:12 PM

Yeah, it seems that it will be on the 1st of Sept. I hope Mike is able to get the day off. It's very soon.

Naiad 08-24-2013 06:18 PM

Wow, a college hangout! ouo
English major here! How is everyone? c:

serena yuy 08-24-2013 06:26 PM

I'm good. Welcome Naiad :D Hope your day is good.

I'm actually a grad student going for a master's in library Science. I have my bachelor's in Political Science/Comparative Politics.

Naiad 08-24-2013 06:34 PM

It's going very well, actually. :)
Wow! Is there a specific career you're going after with that combination?

serena yuy 08-24-2013 07:45 PM

I can actually get a few types of employment with either one. I would like to be a reference/research librarian in an academic setting, but I probably would just settle for some office job in an office

Ling 08-24-2013 08:30 PM

Hi Naiad...English sounds like an interesting subject to major in.

serena yuy 08-24-2013 08:40 PM

I have a few friends who were English majors in college.

Yay! my fiancé is done with work now for the day I hope, thatmeans he'll be on his way out here soon :D

Stupid burger place advertisement during the coverage of the Colorado cycling race. Now I want a a burger. Tho, I dunno what we're gonna have for dinner, depends on what we're in the mood for

ElysiumFate 08-25-2013 03:09 AM

Hi Naiad. ^.^ I'm a psych major myself--I wanted to go English but opted for a more job secure field.

@Ser: Heheheh. It made me laugh when I saw that on facebook. I was totally there watching that race.

serena yuy 08-25-2013 04:41 AM

I thought of you when I was watching it and found out where it was today :P

ElysiumFate 08-25-2013 06:42 AM

Haha, I thought maybe that's why you did that. [:D] I wasn't actually planning to be anywhere near it, let alone at its finish line, though, so that was just a funny coincidence. It was actually really fun, though. Usually I hate anything like that because it just takes over every t.v. station, but actually being there and seeing it was cool as hell.

Ling 08-26-2013 03:24 AM

No idea what this cycling race you're referring to is...sounds like you had fun watching it though.

ElysiumFate 08-26-2013 06:37 AM

Yeah, I didn't know what it was either, I just ran into it. I'd never search something like a bike race out on my own, but running into the finish line was pretty awesome.

Ling 08-26-2013 06:59 AM

That's cool, so you were just by chance...

ElysiumFate 08-26-2013 11:42 PM

Yeah, I'm not a sports fan by any means so it was just a lucky thing. The only time I pay any attention to sports is when my state's football team is in the playoffs or something.

serena yuy 08-27-2013 12:15 AM

I almost forgot about the cycling race in Colorado until my mom called me and told me she was watching it, then I saw where it was Sat and was laughing kind of when I did thinking "Hey! Ely lives there!" But that was cool you ended up there on accident.

I'm not too good of a fan of cycling, but when I get around to it, I will watch it. I do love the Tour de France. But sadly I don't follow it avidly.

O.O I would have loved to have been there by accident. I've always wanted to see cycling like that.

I am a sports fan. I watch baseball (New York Yankees), hockey (Montreal Canadiens), football (New England Patriots), and cycling.

ElysiumFate 08-27-2013 12:55 AM

I knew in the back of my mind that it was going on but my plan was to avoid it. I just went up there with the family to try a new breakfast place and it happened to be smack dab in the middle of the race, lol. It was pretty cool seeing a huge cluster of 25+ bikes speed by.

I saw most of the racers come out after the race was over and ride by me on their way to wherever they were going to get a ride, I'm sure. That was pretty cool. I saw all sorts of nationalities on their uniforms.

Apparently my college was a big supporter of the event, which is cool, although I can almost endlessly bitch about that college. >.>

serena yuy 08-27-2013 12:59 AM

Yeah it would be cool to see that many bikes just speed by like that.

Yeah, I noticed CSU was a huge supporter, there were many commercials for them when i watched.

I loved it that there was a team sponsored by Jelly Belly, oh and I liked that Novo Nordisk team (it's a diabetes medication company), all of the racers on that team are Type 1 Diabetics, one of them was also a Finnish racer too. I noticed that and thought it was cool that the team are all diabetics ^^

ElysiumFate 08-27-2013 01:38 AM

Their facebook was blowing up with news about it the day of, so I figured it out. XD Plus the vice pres was actually there.

Haha, awh, I don't remember seeing that one. I was paying more attention to where the people were actually from, like I'm pretty sure I saw Russia, and France, and Colombia. Oh, I did see several of the members of the diabetes team, though.

LonelyOtaku97 08-28-2013 03:20 PM

That is really cool that you got to see that Ely, it sounds like alot of fun.

ElysiumFate 08-29-2013 01:05 AM

It was a fun day. :)

Ugh, I already want to go back to the beginning of summer, guys.

serena yuy 08-29-2013 01:24 AM

I hear you. I miss summer already, I don't wanna deal with crap :/

ElysiumFate 08-29-2013 01:46 AM

I want to just be able to go out, do what I want, and come home and play games. I don't want to worry about anything, lol.

RoadToGallifrey 08-29-2013 03:05 AM
