Aren't we all? Aren't we all. My pops bought a snow plow converter for his riding lawn mower, and goes out and uses that to plow. (We have a HUGE driveway, and at least 100 yards of sidewalk that we're responsible for) But, when it just snows a little, I go out and do it by hand for him. Before he got the plow we used to have to go out and shovel frickin' three feet snow drifts and it'd take three hours.

seaturtle16 03-23-2011 11:55 PM

Right now, I have a 6 car driveway. There was one storm of about 3 feet, and I plowed 2/3 of the driveway in an hour and then realized I had over-exerted myself and just sat around for the next two days. It was rather ridiculous. That was when I decided that sometimes, it was okay to pay someone else to do it.

ElysiumFate 03-23-2011 11:57 PM

Haha. Indeed. Indeed. I feel the shovelling (even when it's just a sprinkling of snow) for a couple days afterwards.

seaturtle16 03-23-2011 11:58 PM

Me too. I think because it's a motion that you never do, aside from when you're shoveling.

BlackCart29 03-23-2011 11:59 PM

Oh I meant to ask everyone their opinions on the price of the st.pat's wings? I mean ... I think they're kind of ugly and I don't see myself using them at any point in the future, really. (I mean, my mene quest is to get all of the item rares on the site so I'll probably still get them but ...) what do you think of the 2k price tag? I know I personally blow all of my gold and rarely have that much to spend, but I understand that they need to create a value for the item.

What do you guys think?

seaturtle16 03-24-2011 12:00 AM

I'm with you on this one; for 2,000g, I don't think I'll EVER use them. I did buy two of them though, to sell at some later point.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 12:01 AM

They're...ugly...and I think they're gonna mega-inflate once the St. Patty's store closes. I'm actually a little disgusted with the price. The hat is too expensive, as well. And it's the only thing I bought.

----------

My entire body was in agony last Monday. I went swimming and constantly pulling myself out of the water killed my biceps...which are non-existent. I think it's the same issue with shovelling.

sarofset 03-24-2011 02:19 AM

I was disappointed with the items too. Way overpriced, and just plain not worth it. Most event Items are so much better you know?

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 02:31 AM

Meh. There have been several event sets lately that I've been disappointed with. I don't even think I bought any of the Valentine's stuff this year. Hmm....yeah...don't think so.

Goes back to tuning. *stares at violin* Don't make me beat you into submission.

sarofset 03-24-2011 02:42 AM

lol. Yer cute. Violins are beautiful instruments. I wish I could play one. I own a guitar, and a piano, and I cannot play either right now. Wish I could though.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 02:50 AM

Yeah. I played for a couple years then stopped because my school's program decided that the lessons needed to be moved from their proper times in the afternoon to 6:30 a.m. Hahahahaha! Ha. *cough* Funny. Finally restarted it this semester and it finally gave me something to put effort into again. I like it now, unlike last time. I have realized, now, that my strings were so shot that I didn't know what good ones sounded like until tonight. (Probably why I can't tune them >.>)

Did a little piano, but quit because I was forced into it. I want to start that again, too. Just waiting on the actual instrument. :ninja:

Never felt the urge to learn the guitar. I guess I'm just a masochist and think the frets make it too easy to play, lol.

sarofset 03-24-2011 03:03 AM

ha ha ha ha easy. lol. sure.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 03:07 AM

Hey! :illgetu: Lol. You try playing an instrument where moving your finger not even a quarter millimeter out of place makes it sound ghastly out of tune and we'll talk about difficult, then take that and try to play fiddle music.

----------

That stuffs it. She needs professional help. Poor B2. I knew you well. One day you'll stop sounding like a dying cat. I promise.

sarofset 03-24-2011 03:15 AM

You mean an instrument like a guitar? if you have it properly tuned, altering the angle of your fingers can screw with the sound completely. Now let's move on the electric, where you have multitudes of things to tweak, and play with to make it sound okay. Also everyone thinks you just strum the damn thing, but no. You only hit two or three at a time, while holding your fingers in horribly awkward positions. :P

All instruments are difficult dear. lol.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 03:24 AM

Very true. :D I'm just milking my tuning issue right now. I need to practice, but I can't exactly do that when the 'A' string keeps slipping in the middle of Pachebel's Canon, and ends up sounding like a 'D' string from hell.

And don't talk to me about awkward finger positions, lol. I'm going to have carpal tunnel by the time I'm twenty. I'm convinced my pinky is going to get stuck in fourth position one of these days.

sarofset 03-24-2011 03:30 AM

I have big hands. lol. It's harder for me.

And have you seen the Pachabel rant? :D it's fricking hilarious.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 03:34 AM

See. My hands are tiny, so I have to do some magic to hit certain notes.

And no I haven't. Sounds like my cup of tea, though. Lol. *goes forth to look it up*

----------

Oh gawd, lol. That just made my day. "I can't even go to Taco Bell! It's too close."

Not to mention the: "And even the second violins got a lovely melody. That's just wrong." *gigglesnort*

sarofset 03-24-2011 04:01 AM

lol. I love stuff like that. :) Warms the soul.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 04:10 AM

It does at that. Have you ever seen any of the Victor Borge stuff? I'm sure you'd like that if you like the Pachelbel video.

sarofset 03-24-2011 04:12 AM

I dunno. put a link. :)

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 04:17 AM

Ah. So many to chose from. Hmm.

I'll put a couple of my favorites:

YouTube - Victor Borge
YouTube - Victor Borge - "Page-turner"

sarofset 03-24-2011 04:30 AM

Lol. that was awesome. I always loved that kind of humor. Have you ever seen the show Red Dwarf? It's a British sci-fi comedy from the eighties, and nineties. It's full of those kind of jokes.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 04:34 AM

Mmm. I love that man. I wish that kind of humor was popular today instead of stuff like Jackass and The Hangover. But, no. I haven't. If it's British humor, there's a pretty good chance I'd love it, though.

sarofset 03-24-2011 04:41 AM

Indeed. And I agree wholeheartedly. However the time of intelligent humor is over for now. Sadly enough. Hopefully these things work in cycles, and when my kids are coming up it will be popular again.

ElysiumFate 03-24-2011 04:48 AM

One can only hope. I'm so lame I haven't seen a comedy in four years because I was sick of them. All the jokes just fly over my head when people retell them.

I still don't get what's so funny about llamas.
