lol. WE have strange conversations on this website, not to mention this thread.
|
The job search continues.
|
In my case as well.
|
In everybody's case. Lol.
I'd have to say this thread isn't the worst thread for weird conversations. That would be the Horoscope hangout thread where we have underwear parties every once in a while. Haha. |
...XD I'm a very visual person. ...not mentioning something like that would be good. lol.
|
Lol. That thread is horrible. They get so weird that I can't really stand going there very often anymore. It's fun, though, when you're in the right mood, anyway.
Besides. It's too late. You've already visualized that one and I'm sure it's forever stuck in your head. ;) I see serena lurking. *pokes enthusiastically* |
I need something better than the job at the clothing store
|
I need something at all.
|
Ah, well. Unfortunately you can't really get a job much better than that without a degree. Even that doesn't do much for you anymore.
|
You have to have experience. Uch.
|
Not looking forward to job hunting. Sucks when you don't drive so you don't have a reliable source of transport :/
|
Mmhmm.
I wish people would realize that somebody has to give everybody their first shot. Even Bill Gates had to be given his first chance once before he became a billionaire. ---------- Serena! :glomp: You disappeared for way too long. |
Actually he opened his own business that became microsoft...
|
Lol. Still. Somebody had to give him a chance to learn and advance.
|
He did that as a hobby. lol. Dropped out of college.

@Saro: Haha. Well. Somebody had to buy his first product. It all comes down to the fact that everyone has to be given a first chance or nothing new or exciting ever happens.
@ser: Awh. Yeah. I'm going to be really busy here for awhile. Finals, tests, and all that crud. Then the scary work of job searching. Yes. Work. Because that's what that is. I'm actually writing a huge paper right now that's just for extra credit. Albeit, I don't really need it in that class, but I still want to do it because I watched the movie...I should probably follow through with the analysis paper. Haha. |
Yeah,
this friday- 10 page paper due, next friday (6. may) another paper due week after that: 9- Final, 10- Final, 11- Final and 26-30 page paper due. Sometime at the end of the week I have to move my stuff out of my dorm and into another dorm for Summer classes. Just 2 weeks of it. (16th-27th of May) and that seems like it would be fun. ^^" |
Man. You've certainly got me beat.
Let's see here...tonight I have a paper due at midnight, and homework questions due in astronomy tomorrow. Thursday I have a test in math, then next week I have a final in math. College algebra, that is. Then two philosophy papers due next week, and a paper for my human sexuality class. Finally! My mouths isn't numb anymore. (had a small cavity she had to get worked on today) |
Hey sounds like what my boyfriend will be going through tomorrow. I think he's getting cavities filled tomorrow. I'll ask him tomorrow when he comes home from his appt. I am proud of him though. Since we started dating 4.5 years ago, he's gotten better with his dental hygene. He used to have some major cavity problems. But he's gotten better and now he doesn't have any problems really except the stray cavity. Now if he would just quit smoking.
|
Eww. Smoking.
I'm pretty strict with who I go out with, but I'm flexible on some things while I have no pity or any leniency on my "no dating smokers" policy. I've never really had that many dental issues. I've had a few cavities, yes...but even those are dwindling. This was my first cavity in three years and I believe I only acquired this one because I drank so much Mt. Dew last semester just to stay awake. I have learned my lesson, lol. |

Of course, my permit test was a near disaster. I almost failed the vision test because before I wore contacts my prescription was usually total crap by the halfway mark on its expiration. I started crying, eventually, and the tears became lenses and helped me pass. --- lol sorry. I just finished a movie and I wanted to get back to that since I asked. Carry on! |
@Happy: Oh my gosh. That's horrible.
I've only ever had one prescription go horribly bad on me really quickly. It wasn't but two weeks after my test that I started noticing a huge blur in the vision of my right eye. It gave me headaches for months before I went to the eye doctor and said, what the heck happened??? |
Yeah. I'm not too keen on the fact that he smokes. But, I knew going into it he did, plus he's too nice of a person and that good of a man/lover to me for me to not want him in my life. He doesn't smoke a lot around me. He'll usually ask me if it's ok for him to smoke around me. Example- If we're hanging out with a few people and I'm the only non smoker. He'll ask me if it's ok, or I'll ask him to wait a little bit because everyone else is smoking in the enclosed area and I can't breathe well. ^^"
I think I've had pick cavities, but since we didn't have dental growing up and I don't have medicaid atm, I haven't seen a dentist since I was 16. :/ @ox3tyi: Oh geeze, yeah the NYS test is EASY!!! I have to retake it though. I got my permit in 2005 and I never did anything with it and it expired last October on my 22nd birthday. So, I just have an ID and this coming Summer my dad is going to help me get my permit and then my drivers license. I'm over 18 so I don't have to go through all of the bureaucratic crap that under 18yr olds have to. ^^" |
Indeed. I've met a lot of nice smokers...but I grew up with a mother who has smoked all of her life and has had countless health problems because of it, then never connects the two issues and complains to boot. She also stinks constantly and is always holding people up just because she needs to "go out for a smoke." I don't have any patience left with smokers...so it would be a really bad idea for me to date one.
I'd ruin the relationship with all the nagging and my constant impatience. I get annoying when you constantly make me wait for you for the same thing. But, as I've said before to other people. At least it's smoking and not alcoholism or something worse. ---- I hate doctors...but I'll always keep up with the dentist. I don't need those problems when I'm older, lol. Though, it's my general opinion that general practitioners are worthless and they just cause you unnecessary worry and prescribe unnecessary drugs. |
