@Fey: That's exactly it. There's a difference between fun, respect, and maturity, and disgusting child play.
I also agree that age matters less and less as you get older. I, however, am definitely at the age where it matters a shit ton. I still wouldn't ever want to date somebody more than four or so years older than me. And, as I said, Ely doesn't do younger. |
Well, I hope everyone had a better day than me? :stare:
D'awh. What happened Kitami?
Slow drivers made me want to kill something, I've had no sleep, my grandfather was being a twit, and I feel like I've been beaten with a stick and I'm sick. ><
I'm sorry.
If it makes you feel any better, I had a nightmare last night. I dreamt that the Mexican mafia came and parted out my car while I was sitting in a theater watching a play. I dreamt that they pealed my roof back like the lid of a sardine can and stole the motor and transmission. It was so vivid that I woke up sweating, walked up the stairs, went outside, and hugged my car when I saw it was still whole and beautiful. :XD |
XD! That's funny. The last dream I had, a flock of birds chased me because I was wearing a feather boa, and I tried to tell them that the feathers weren't real, but they kept telling me (in human speech) that I killed their families. It was really really weird.
:XD It sounds like that part in Kiki's Delivery Service where she gets chased down by crows because she crashed into one of their nests.
I've never seen that movie, and I have no idea why. O_o;;
Lol. How do you not know why? Have you seen every other Hayao Miyazaki film?
How can you see Hayao Miazaki's films and not see Kiki's Delivery Service? Albeit I still have yet to see Ponyo...
Because Kiki's Delivery Service is a tad more kiddy than his other films? That would be my guess.
I love Hayao Miyazaki and I've seen all of his stuff. Liked all of them except Totoro. That thing was...um...pointless? Ponyo was really cute. My favorites of Miyazaki's are Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and Whisper of the Heart. |
The Miyazaki films I've seen are Castle in the Sky, Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Spiritied away. I want to see the rest of them though! And I seriously thought Totoro was soooo cute!
Dude!! You haven't seen Princess Mononoke? Seriously?
You soo have to see Howl's Moving Castle!!!! I LOVE IT.
I just remembered, I do like Totoro in comparison to Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Those two were two dark for my taste..... ---------- Lol. Hello, saro. :) |
hiya Saro!
And I soo freaking want to see the rest of the Hayao Miyazaki films! I'm gonna try and interlibrary loan them...but as I'm stuck with a stupid small-town library.....AGH!!!!! |
Hi. Princess mononoke is my favorite. It's the first anime movie I ever saw, and so it holds a place in my heart. lol.
All of the Miyazaki films hold a special place in my heart too. First anime movies I remember watching...well, those, and a Tenchi movie or two! XD
I own all of Tenchi!!! lol. :)
My first anime movie was Spirited Away, if I remember correctly. I didn't like it then, but it grew on me and is now one of my favorites.
I think they're all worth seeing, but I still don't like Miyazaki's darker films. Anybody remember Porco Rosso? I really liked that one for some reason. And The Cat Returns films. Grave of the Fireflies...Voyage to a Distant Star...Fist of the North Star............ |
Um... you don't like darker films, but you like grave of fireflies?
No. I said I didn't like Miyazaki's darker films.
I like "dark" films when they're based off of real life situations, as Grave of the Fireflies was based off of World War II, I believe. I'll watch a lot of dark films, actually...there's just something about those two that didn't do right by me. |
Hm... Goes to personal taste I guess. :)
@ Saro: You--! :illgetu: I wish I had Tenchi....it's the first anime I remember watching!
Was always one of my favorites. It's a great show, and in all honesty I had a slight crush on Ryoko when I was little. lol.
I always thought Tenchi was a moron for going after that shrew Aieka. Uch. |
Well, I don't remember Mononoke well, but I know it didn't sit right with me at the time, and Nausicaa...well...Nausicaa puts me to sleep every time I watch it.
