@ Thoth - haha, they were a bit lame but it's still nice.
Oof, it's hard to sleep when I ate way too much food a couple of hours ago. I cooked too much, ya see... I was following a new recipe... |
Wow, they don't start decorating here until december...
Mm what did you cook? I'm hungry... |
Hello all! Just got out of work for the rest of the week! That's a great feeling!!!
And welcome Toth! |

And Christmas is better here anyway 8D We have mince pies and crackers, and more alcohol, and no one works on the 26th, Boxing Day. Everything is shut. |
LUCKY!
I work on Christmas eve and Christmas day, and the day after that... my store's open! But, you gotta love Christmas, wherever you're at. REMINDER: The poll is closing in 4 days! Votevotevote!~ |
My school has decorated for Christmas already, even though we're in Florida and we get no snow. It's kind of funny. Nearly 80 degree weather and wreaths are strewn around. I think it's because we break in the middle of December, so we wouldn't see them otherwise.
That's kind of nice though. I feel like we wait longer to decorate in Maine because we get so much winter weather, we want to enjoy the fall while it's still happening.
I miss the leaves falling. I even miss raking them up, because at least you can make piles with them. I miss the sound of them crunching under my feet...
I love fall. It's my favorite season.
I'd miss it so much if I didn't live in a place that had fall!!! |
Fall's my favorite season too. Once I'm no longer an undergrad I"m going to try and go to school up North. That's when my Florida-based scholarship runs out.
Ah, I see I see. Yeah, there are some great school in New England, Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire have especially strong academic institutions.
There's so many good school, but at least I don't have to decide right now. Although I should get on it.
How close are you to graduating?
I'll be finished in the spring. I'm pretty glad. Although I need to work on my college essay.
That is pretty soon! I'd be excited too! Congratulations!
Thanks! I still have years to go, but at least I'll have my associate's then.
Makes sense, I still have years to go too- so, I understand.
Yeah. I really like learnign though, so it's not too bad. I just hope I don't end up with too many student loans!
I know right!? That's the biggest thing for most people in college I think, creating massive amounts of debt for themselves T_T
LOLOLOLOL In all my fuss to not fail Color Theory....I failed another class instead.
Honestly, I don't even care. I learned everything in that class. The only reason I failed was because I fell asleep when I was trying to work on my Final and it ended up not getting done. At all. Oh well. I might make it a underlying goal to get kicked out, just so I can walk around and be like "Ya, that's right. I got kicked out of school. I AM A BAD ROLE MODEL! " |
HAHAHA, well, at least you didn't fail Color Theory, I know that was your goal!
Hey guys! I've got a heads-up for you all; I'm going home for Thanksgiving break, and since I have no Internet at home, I'll only be on sporradically. See you whenever!
BC: Exactly! In the end, I still have knowledge gained from that class and I think that's what matters most. More than a GPA, or my reputation as a student or even their reputation as a school. So I'll keep going and learning as much as I can and working hard in my own way, and if they kick me out it doesn't matter. Kicking me out doesn't mean I get that knowledge erased. Besides, now that I'm home, I feel at LEAST twice as motivated to work at a more reputable pace than I did while I was in the dorm.
Taiyo: Aw! We'll miss you, but I hope you have a splendid Thanksgiving break! See you whenever as well! ;) |

Awww, Hilary ignored me. And this thread is so much more empty without Taiyo!
