Oddly enough, I trust one of my newest friends implicitly. I met her last year when I started college, and she just...is kind, faithful, and keeps her promises. She also treats me with respect and never makes me feel bad about myself. Never did anything that I could hate her for...love her for that.

I trust my parents, each to a different extent. But I know they'd always be there for me. Other than that, no one else really comes to mind..

I don't have anything to hide about myself. I've always been honest like that. If you can't take it...you can't take me.

@Kita: Awh. What happened with her? (I remember you mentioning her name before)

Ely:: I can't talk about it. :/ Just that she said something recently.

ElysiumFate 08-10-2011 08:01 AM

Awh. Well. Hopefully it turns out okay.

Does anyone here listen to Madonna? I'm trying to figure something out about one of her songs.

`Kitami 08-10-2011 08:39 AM

It will be fine.

Sorry I don't listen to Madonna. I'm actually a little frightened of Madonna. :XD I don't know why.

ElysiumFate 08-10-2011 09:05 AM

She is actually a little frightening in appearance. I've just recently discovered that she has some songs that I've always liked, and I didn't know it was her. The song I mentioned has an odd beginning and it sounds like a skipping cd. I'm not sure if it's actually supposed to sound that weird or if I just keep finding copies of the same crappy version on YouTube.

sarofset 08-10-2011 07:56 PM

I discovered Cascadia last night... >.> I need more techno. lol.

LonelyOtaku97 08-10-2011 09:31 PM

you know who has good techno. blood on the dance floor and Aqua(i think thats their name)

ElysiumFate 08-10-2011 10:23 PM

@Saro: Do you mean Cascada?

sarofset 08-11-2011 12:11 AM

Sure. Why not. lol.

ElysiumFate 08-11-2011 12:16 AM

Lol. I've listened to her for over five years so I was like...hmmm...I still cannot decide how to pronounce that name though.

----------

It's either Cahs-cahd-ah or Cass-cade-ah.

sarofset 08-11-2011 12:40 AM

I'm not sure. lol. The song pyromania sunk its teeth into my brain last night though.

ElysiumFate 08-11-2011 12:43 AM

That would be off of her most recent album. I only know her first two albums. Once you listen to twenty Cascada songs it all runs together and you don't bother getting more of the same sounding stuff on another new album.

I must admit that Pyromania is more unique than anything she's produced in a long ass time.

sarofset 08-11-2011 01:12 AM

like Taylor swift who actually wrote two songs, and has somehow made millions off them. XD lol. all of it is the same. XD

Ahmelo 08-11-2011 01:29 AM

Hello :D
I'll be a freshman in a month, any tips for a total newbie?

ElysiumFate 08-11-2011 01:29 AM

Haha. Yeah. Exactly like Taylor Swift. Every once in awhile something good comes out, but most of the time you're just getting another cookie cutter song to keep the fans happy.

Have you heard "Every Time We Touch" by Cascada? That is one of my favorite songs by her. Especially the Yanou Candlelight Remix version which is a sappier love song version.

----------

Oh, hello there!

Best advice I can give any Freshman who comes here: be true to yourself. Don't get yourself into situations you don't want to be in and wouldn't be in just because somebody tells you it's cool.

Just like high school, just a different level. Lol. It can really [email protected]*# up your life now.

Ahmelo 08-11-2011 01:38 AM

I've heard some not so pleasant tales from older friends as well.
But seeing as how I usually hang out with the nerdier crowd I only get the "OMG I haven't slept for 3 days to study for this test" kind of thing.
High school for me was great...but...maybe that's because I tend not to hand out much aside from a few close friends...
Would it be better at a smaller uni?

ElysiumFate 08-11-2011 01:50 AM

It would be a hella lot better at a smaller university, especially when you start out. Smaller class sizes = far less stress and chance of failing in the beginning. People who go to smaller universities tend to be more mature as well because they're the people who aren't just looking for parties.

serena yuy 08-11-2011 02:31 AM

Yeah, a smaller university is great. This semester will only be my 2nd class where I had more than 30 students altogether. The first semester was about 100, this semester will have a class with 100 exactly.
I like having the smaller sizes because this gives us the chance to have a better relationship with the professors. ^^

ElysiumFate 08-11-2011 02:35 AM

Ehhh. Tired. I think I'm going to hang out tonight and read so that I can get up in the morning.

LonelyOtaku97 08-11-2011 02:37 AM

Hello guys. is everyone ready for the new semester?

ElysiumFate 08-11-2011 02:40 AM

Not particularly. I'd rather just rest.

LonelyOtaku97 08-11-2011 02:42 AM

Aw me to its kinda frustrating >.< I need to go get my books actually

Ahmelo 08-11-2011 02:44 AM

oh that makes me slightly more relaxed, if it weren't for the fact my university has a reputation for 'school spirit' ahem.
Time to mark my little corner in the library then.

@serena yuy
that's true, I heard it's better to know your professors because reference letters are a big thing later on?

my university has a site for buying second hand books, should I buy it now and risk it not being the proper book, or buy it later when everyone else will be rushing?

LonelyOtaku97 08-11-2011 02:47 AM

I want ice cream O.o

Ahmelo 08-11-2011 02:58 AM
