Same problem. I have bi-polar two disorder. It makes me depressed most of the time, and a total spaz, when I'm not. Making friends was never easy. I had a few good ones though, who helped me through it. :)

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 04:47 AM

Nice. I'm not bipolar--I don't think. My self-confidence is just crap. I don't think I even HAVE any self-confidence anymore. Which is why I tend to have some seriously emo moments. Until you give me and energy drink--then I'm bouncing off the walls until I crash at like 2 am.

sarofset 01-27-2011 05:03 AM

um... lol. I do that sometimes without the drink. That's what I mean by spaz. lol. XD I get hyper, and overly happy for like hours, and for no reason.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 05:21 AM

Wow. Let me guess, people are asking "Who gave you sugar?"?

sarofset 01-27-2011 05:47 AM

lol. no. It's one of the first things I tell people when they're getting to know me, so They know what's going on. :)

Are there different types of bipolar disorder, hence you having a type two sarofset?

BlackCart29 01-27-2011 04:41 PM

yeah, I had no impression that there was more than one type, either.

sarofset 01-27-2011 06:04 PM

type one switches more often I think. I'm not sure, since I have type two.

Type two is characterized by long periods of depression, which tends to be very deep, with short bouts of hypo-mania. Basically, I'm melancholy most of the time, but sometimes I laugh for a straight hour for no apparent reason. lol.

It's also called bi-polar depression in some cases I believe. I also have slight obsessive compulsive tendencies and other issues, which stem from a lack of male influence in my life, and a few other slight problems. lol.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 06:29 PM

Then what is it if you'rea girl and more masculine than feminine? Trust me, if you ever met me in person you'd swear I act like a guy.

sarofset 01-27-2011 06:30 PM

And you'd call me a girl with a beard. :)

It's not a disorder. Gender roles are mostly nurture. There are a few behaviors which are innate, but you can be nurtured out of them.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 06:43 PM

Then I was DEFINITLY nutured out of the girly-girlness.

sarofset 01-27-2011 06:48 PM

Not much female influence in your life? Or...?

In my case, I had no real father. Also from a young age, I liked hanging out with girls better, and wanted girly toys. (easy bake oven.) I had and still have tons of stuffed animals. And to this day, I prefer the company of girls, and am not exactly manly. lol. Aside from the big beard.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 06:59 PM

 Ah, the easy-bake oven. Even after the tomboyness took hold I still wanted one of those. Guess that just screams that I inherited my dad's baking talent.

As for why I ended up so boyish, it's the fact that my mom's a tomboy and my dad ended up turning into an idiot after he lost his job. Thus, I ended up aging 15-20 years in 10, and since mom basically became both the mom and the dad...yeah, I'm screwed up.

sarofset 01-27-2011 07:01 PM

Nah. You're just you. :) Nothing wrong with that at all.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 07:08 PM

I'm a 25-to-30-year-old in an eighteen-year-old body. How is that NOT screwed up?

sarofset 01-27-2011 07:29 PM

I've acted exactly as I do since I was about eight years old, and I'm more mature than most at my age. Being mature is not a bad thing hon.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 07:35 PM

Yeah, but it would be nice if my peers didn't seem to have this amazing ability to act their shoe size and not their age.

sarofset 01-27-2011 07:37 PM

...dude, you sound exactly like my friend Ashley. Like, exactly, like her.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 07:57 PM

I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment or an insult....

sarofset 01-27-2011 09:13 PM

Compliment. She's kinda awesome. :) ...also hot, but I can't really judge that quality in someone I've never seen. lol. XD

All kidding aside, she's a really cool person. Feel complimented.

...I'm having a manic day.

TaiyoTsuki 01-27-2011 09:26 PM

How bad? And you might be a bit afraid of me if you saw some of my San Diego pictures.

sarofset 01-27-2011 11:41 PM

No. No I would not. Nothing scares me.

TaiyoTsuki 01-28-2011 12:06 AM

You sure about that?

ReineDeLaSeine14 01-28-2011 12:53 AM

I have bipolar too but I have type I along with ADHD...my meds have balanced me out so well along with intense therapy and a hospitalization in 2008.

Half of my first week of school was cancelled because we're buried in two feet of snow. Someone find my dogs!!!!

BlackCart29 01-28-2011 02:42 AM

Your dogs?

Is that an expression?
