I have some stuff left *hands it over*

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:09 AM

*takes gladly*

What do you use?

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 01:12 AM

Just a $1.99 pouch of stuff from Rite Aid.

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:17 AM

I bet I know the stuff you're talking about.

I got a new masque the other day made out of avocado and grapefruit...not sure I like it.

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 01:21 AM

There are a few different brands but I couldn't find any of the one that I was looking for so I used this for the first time.

This is just straight cucumber.

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:22 AM

I've never tried a cucumber masque, but it's on my list.

I saw a mud masque the other day--should've bought that instead of what I got, but oh well.

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 01:23 AM

I haven't had much luck finding something other than the cheap $2 stuff. Do you have any recommendations?

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:28 AM

A use Freeman's and Queen Helene masques. I like the Queen Helene mint julep masque a lot because it smells delicious and really dries out acne. Both brands are pretty cheap and work well, but Freeman's has more options than Queen Helene does.

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 01:30 AM

FREEMAN'S! THAT'S WHAT THIS IS!

I don't think I've seen Queen Helene...I'll have to look for it the next time I go shopping.

How often do you use them?

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:40 AM

I knew it! :D

It depends how bad my skin is. The Queen Helene mint julep can be extremely drying if overused, so that can be done--at most, and with a lot of moisturizer--twice a week. I usually do one masque a week, though.

serena yuy 10-19-2011 01:47 AM

I should try those masques

TaiyoTsuki 10-19-2011 01:52 AM

All I've got is a mud masque^^;

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:54 AM

Does it work well?

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 01:54 AM

@Ely: Good to know, thanks.

Masks are fun!

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 01:56 AM

I love walking around with them on. They freak people out.

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 01:58 AM

My dad was confused when he saw mine. He was all "do you have plastic wrap on your face?" then I started peeling it off and he was absolutely fascinated.

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 02:03 AM

Ahh. I haven't done a peel off masque in years--I was not fond of the one I used, it made my face red, and pulled out all the peach fuzz on my face. :stare:

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 02:04 AM

Wash off ones bother me unless I'm going to shower right after I put it on.

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 02:07 AM

That's what I do with masques. I put 'em on right before a shower and wash them off then so I don't feel all grubby.

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 02:08 AM

Maybe I'll do that next time.

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 02:12 AM

It works really well, and my face is usually baby soft in the morning. ^_^

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 02:14 AM

Mine is baby soft right now thanks to my face cream.

TaiyoTsuki 10-19-2011 02:24 AM

@ Ely: It dries up my zits, so yeah.

@ Vix: :XD I'll have to try that sometime. Shoulda done it when the power went out on campus....

Vix Viral 10-19-2011 02:25 AM

I don't get acne anywhere near as much as I used to. I assume it's because of my face wash and my foundation that has acne medication built right into it.

ElysiumFate 10-19-2011 02:27 AM

Glycerine soap freaking KILLS acne. If you have acne issues...try it.
