My professors recommended that to and one said we didn't even need the book. That was when I went to PCC as for CSU I'm not sure if they would suggest that or not.

That professor sounds awesome. Thankfully, none of my textbooks are over $70. Most aren't even over $20, so I should be ok this semester.

My total for books was around 491 I think.

@Taiyo: Depends solely on the professor. This one didn't seem to like the fact books were so expensive. He also likes saving money and letting us save money too. I think the most expensive semester book-wise I had was around $300 or so. I forget. ^^"
@Happy: Yeah, he is. He was one of my favourite professors at the school I just graduated from. I had him since my first semester there back in 2009. I had a class with him every semester. He seemed enthusiastic when I asked him to write a letter of recommendation for me for grad school ^^

I hate the schools that make you buy uber expensive books and then you never use 'em. I sell them back on Amazon, though, so that I get good prices.

Hm thats not a bad idea I do have some books to sell. I have to go to financial aide today and find out why it hasn't came in.

Are your classes started already? Because I know mine doesn't come in until the day classes start, for whatever reason, which is on the 23rd. >.>

Yeah, next Monday is when classes start for the university I graduated from in December. My friends are all talking about there only being 1 week of break left. I wish I was doing that too. I hate being home. It sucks. Especially right now. -.-

Yeah I do have to agree with you. I went from going to a community college to the university I graduated from in December. ^^" It was a huge change. Especially since I went from living at home to living on campus 2hr away from everyone.

Yeah, that was a huge change for me. But, it was a good thing for me to be on my own for awhile.

I'm currently dealing with my boyfriend being this depressed person who's still "disappointed" at me and other things.

He is in a rut because he realises he doesn't have much of a chance at getting into law school with his gpa being so low and his lsat score. The combined 2 won't be enough.
He did part of a practice test yesterday and it didn't come out good. Apparently I messed up again and wasn't there for him again when he needed it.
I keep messing up. He's still not in a good mood and it's mainly my fault.

I doubt it's your fault. He seems to get in a mood sometimes where he thinks you can read his mind, and the case is that you can't, so don't feel bad.

@Ely: I wish I could tell myself that it's not my fault. But, right now I feel like I fuck up everything, that there's something wrong with me that I have no one to go to. My mom is caught up in her shit and she keeps having her asshole ex spend days over here without thinking to ask me if I'd be ok with it or why he bothers me/I get tense when he's around. My dad is never home, he's spending his nights with his new family and I'm stuck here. My boyfriend is upset because of realising he has a lot to do to even have a chance to get into grad school and he's realising he doesn't have much of a chance and may have to wait longer to do his dream. And I don't seem to catch that he needs me to hug him or something and I lost my chance last night at that time because I was too caught up in thinking of my problems at home that I screwed up.

Because I thought she was going to and I told my mom that and when I tell my mom that she thinks their gonna help me out and I didn't think when I said it.

Yeah, we're both having a rough time in our lives. I'm still working through this whole being stuck dealing with my mom and her selfish crap at times. Plus she agitates me. This entire situation agitates me. I just want to make it up to him though. I hope not bringing things up about his lsat will help and he'll get better. He better be better tomorrow. I don't know what to say to him today because he's still upset at me and isn't talking much to me. Just 1 word answers. -.-

Awh, well, Ser, you're both uber stressed right now, so I promise it's not your fault. You've been dealing with your mom's ex (which you shouldn't have to) and it's acceptable that you're not yourself and aren't noticing Mike's problems.

You're both strong, you'll get through this. Besides, remember that you've got each other, so you do have people to run to, even if it's not ideal. Running rarely is.
