-shrugs- It happens. : P Just chug some caffeine and everything will be a-okay again.
Yep yum coffee lol its cold enough here to have coffee.
Agreed. xD It's really cold up here as well. That's how I make it through my days. A combination of tea and coffee. : >
Yay tea and coffee and were are you located?
I'm currently in Idaho, USA for school.
Aw cool its been a brutal winter everywere.
It's true. x.x; The last few days have been pretty nice and sunny though. : > I feel Spring coming. But today was just wind everywhere. The storm from last night knocked down several large tree branches so it seems like winter isn't ready to give up its hold yet.
Ug wind the wind just makes it colder.
Exactly. xD That's why I can't admit it is Spring yet. : <
I know I want it to be spring so bad.
Agreed!
Well what do you do in your wintery free time? |
We're a far ways away from Spring here in Colorado. >.> Otaku is from Colorado, and so are two other people who stop by this thread, as am I. ^.^ All accidentally. XD
It's too much like Spring here in Rochester NY. -.- I want snow! This winter hasn't been a winter. I'm guessing we're gonna have a crappy summer this year.
@Ely: Colorado isn't too far away from me here in Idaho. xD Nice, so you guys really understand weather patterns and what's happening to each other. : 3
@Serena: I'm not super fond of the snow... Especially when they don't shut down the school and force us to walk in knee-high snow just to get onto campus. : / I grew up in Portland, Oregon where if it snowed, the whole city shut down. |
I'm one of the people who has to walk in snow that deep, complain, but then make fun of my school district if they close because of snow/cold. ^^" I rarely had a snow day when I was in high school and now they close more often than they did when I was there.
My university never closed. I never had a snow day. It would be freezing, 60+mph wind gusts, snowy and windy, windy and rainy, any combination, and we would still have class. We even still had class and it was thundering really bad, and rainy and we even had an F2 tornado almost at the campus. And I went to university at SUNY Fredonia in Southwestern NY state. I was only about a 10 min drive from Lake Erie. |
We actually just had a snow day last Friday. It dumped two feet of wet snow during an eight hour period. I couldn't have gone to school if I wanted to.
@Yoku: Understanding Colorado's weather? Hahahahaha. Cough. Lol, our weather is weird. It'll go from 65 degrees in the morning and blue skies to blizzard in three hours. Then the snow'll be completely gone the next day. But yeah, we make fun of it a lot. XD |
@Ely: We're known for that weather here ^^"
The blizzards? I like blizzards, but I wouldn't want to live in a constant one~
Well yeah blizzards. But we can go from 65F in the early part of the day to cold and snowy in the night. With wind too ^^
Actually that was a couple weeks ago. ^^" |
Ahh. I thought we were the only ones with that curse. I hate the wind.
I have the wonderful curse of living in the Great Lakes region. :XD
It was windy here earlier today, not too bad though. |
I guess big landmarks of any sort just screw with weather, huh?
Yeah, I dread the beginning of Spring here because we get 70+ mph wind almost daily for a couple of months. Gets on your nerves that you can't walk out the door without feeling like a kite. |
@Ser: Oh goodnesss. x.x; I would not have been able to survive that.
@Ely: No, I meant that your state is really close. XD I've got a decent idea of the weather as I go to school in Northern Idaho with the fickle weather but never blizzards. We've had one snow day this winter and the last time they had a snow day was 2 years ago. : x It was blizzarding all day and night so they couldn't clear anything. |
Ack, yeah, when the weather starts changing it gets windy like that. I remember all of the really windy days were those where it was in the Spring when the changes would go on. I always felt like a kite walking out of my dorm to go to class. Didn't help that my campus was built in a stupid way where it was like a wind tunnel.
It's like that where I live too. :/ ---------- The only times I remember my University having a snow day was before I transferred. It was my boyfriend's first Spring semester there when he transferred and they had some ice that may or may not have knocked power out... That and another day was rumoured that year that a squirrel chewed through a powerline (which is believable... The squirrels run the campus) |
*shakes fist at livestream* Wth did they do to you?
@Yoku: I live right at the base of the Rockies, so we really get weird weather shifts since the jet stream has no idea what to make of the mountains. 5 minutes can encompass blue skies, rain, and snow. We tend to get one snow day a year, so our schools aren't too snobby. Two+ feet of snow generally calls it. @Ser: Oh gawd. The year before I started high school a squirrel fried the school's power grid because it electrocuted itself on a power line. XD |
