I'll let people take care of my stuff, but my phone and some money are always with me when I go to parties or weddings. I usually slip the phone in the bra somewhere with a bit of money tucked in with it. With the kind of luck I have I'll end up having to call a cab the day that I don't have my phone or my money, so I can't do it. XD

I never tried that brand because I just started with Midol and stuck with it. It's because of the weird anxiety attacks it can give me if I take more than one dose in a day that I'm thinking of Pamprin now.

That's a good idea I dunno why I never thought of that.

serena yuy 03-04-2012 05:23 AM

Yeah, if I have to, I'd have my phone with me, otherwise, I'd have Mike hold onto it for me. But, I'm good with hiding it. ^^
I never took Midol, my best friend used Pamprin and I decided to buy it and try it.

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 05:28 AM

Ii'm so addicted to the Style Network right now it's pathetic. They keep doing marathons of Project Runway and Top Model.

serena yuy 03-04-2012 05:33 AM

Never watched that channel. For awhile though I would watch Gok's Fashion Fix on Nelonen. Gok Wan is a gay chinese british fashion guy who is really funny at times. His big thing is helping women buy less, wear more with a wardrobe of a few essentials that you can get multiple outfits out of. He also is big on showing women how to dress looking like you spent thousands for one outfit when you only spent a fair amount. ^^

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 05:38 AM

They used to have a show kinda like that on Style Network. They'd show women how to get a whole runway outfit for less than $100. I learned how to shop from that show.

serena yuy 03-04-2012 05:45 AM

I love shows like that. I like seeing how I can look pretty good for under $100

----------

Oh, I forgot to mention that today while I was waiting to go to David's Bridal I was watching My Cat from Hell. It was pretty good. :)

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 06:15 AM

You'll never see me buy any single piece of clothing if it costs more than $30 and it isn't insanely special. I don't get spending $100 on a t-shirt.

Lolol. What is that, a spoof movie? XD

serena yuy 03-04-2012 06:23 AM

Oh hell no. You'll never see me spend that much. Dresses are ok to spend a bit much. My bridesmaid dress cost me $86 which is actually pretty good. I have gowns that were a little over $100 at one time. My beloved queen's gown was over $120. But that was special occasion. My normal every day clothes, I do not like spending a lot. I pretty much have the same idea you do.

No, it's a show on Animal Planet where this rocker guy who is also a cat behaviourist, will go around to these houses to families and help them figure out how to tame their cat from hell and make it a normal nice kitty. Some of these people I was face palming going "come on! It's not that hard!"

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 06:36 AM

The most expensive piece of clothing I own is my prom dress. I love that dress so much. ^.^ I'll be able to wear that to special occasions probably until I'm in my sixties. I've already worn it three times. It needs to be dry cleaned. I spent a little over $200 on that, but like I said--I'll wear it for years to come. Found a picture of it: Xscape Strapless Taffeta Mermaid Gown with Bow Detail | Nordstrom . That model is really too skinny to pull the dress off--it requires real woman curves. ;)

Ohhhhhh! I've seen that show, I just didn't know the name. I wish I could hire that guy to fix my mom's cat, but I think my mom's cat is feral, and thus unfixable. I don't really think it's just a behavior issue. :(

serena yuy 03-04-2012 07:20 AM

Yeah, the most expensive thing I own is my beloved queen's gown which is this dress La Belle Amour I also have this one which is the same style, my mom wore it during my term since they were my colours. :)La Belle Dame I could see myself using the dresses till I'm a bit older. I was going to use the white one as my wedding dress, then I met Mike and he was at my installation. Almost 6 years later and I won't be using the dress for that. Plus I'd rather have a different style dress for my wedding. I reuse the dresses now. If I'm going to a big event for Triangle (youth group) or for a costume type thing, I use the purple and black one (I wore it at the masquerade ball we did this fall), the white one can be used again if I need a white gown for something.

One of the shows that were on this afternoon, he actually did tame a feral cat.

I agree, a real woman should be wearing that dress. Not a skinny model.

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 07:34 AM

I would wear those all the time for costume parties, and I do have a fancy costume that I wear almost every Halloween: http://maskworld.scene7.com/is/image/maskworld/enlarge-template?$product=111028-devilns-bride-teufelin&$mainshot-2$. People have so much fun when I answer the door in that costume. ^.^

What did he do to tame it?

Mermaid gowns aren't meant for sticks, in my opinion.

serena yuy 03-04-2012 05:17 PM

That is a cool looking dress. I like using the black one for costumes. I haven't figured out any to use the white one yet ^^"

I think what he did was he spent a lot of one on one time with her. Normally what he does is he goes there, checks out the situation and then gives the cat parents a homework assignment to do to try stuff to help the cat out and then he comes back in a week or 2. With this one, he had to come every day after the first week. During the 2 week period before the final day, he had to come every day to have one on one time with her. He mentioned that a problem with feral cats is they don't trust people. They fear people and unlike domestic cats, they don't realise that humans are good. So, he spent a lot of time with her playing with her (without getting too close). He would play with one of those things at the end of stick toys from a distance and every day she would get closer and closer until the last day when she actually let one of the owners pet her. He of course had the owners do the same thing, showing her that the people in the house are good and won't hurt her.

I agree, it takes a certain type of woman to pull off a mermaid gown and a stick is not it. :P

ElysiumFate 03-04-2012 11:12 PM

Weird. :? That link didn't show up, but oh well you figured it out.

I may have to try that with her. She is the most beautiful calico you've ever seen, and she has rabbit fur, so it's a pity we can't pet her like a normal cat. She definitely doesn't trust people.

If I were you, I'd wait several years until you're certain you have no use for the dress, and then dirty it up a little bit one Halloween and play a corpse bride, or a zombie bride.

serena yuy 03-05-2012 05:55 AM

 Yeah, yay copy and paste. Aww she does sound beautiful. That's a bummer you can't pet her like a normal cat. I would go crazy. I love petting cats. Right now I have both of the cats in bed with me. I gave them catnip. My baby (Eli) is on the pillow next to me, Rascal (mom's cat, my little buddy) is right at my feet curled up. ^^

Yeah, I'll probably have a use for it maybe, but I'll see ^^ I like it soo much. :)

----------

And now I get to sit here while my best friend's ex boyfriend is messaging me telling me shit that she had done over there.

ElysiumFate 03-05-2012 07:50 AM

I will take a picture of her in the morning and show you what she looks like. She's got gold owl eyes. ^.^

My mom told me today that if I buy a cat and pay for it being fixed--if it needs to be fixed--and such, that I can. :D I'm kinda thinkin' that I would love to do that. S/he'd be totally mine that way, and I'd have all the control. ^^ I already have my cat, Misty, but she's more like the family's cat (though I will take her with me when I move out if she's still alive at that point), and I'm so disappointed in my mum's cat that I'm lonely for another one. *plotting*

Really? I wish I'd seen this message earlier so I could hear you rant about what he's saying. That's horrible.

serena yuy 03-05-2012 05:15 PM

aww that would be awesome to see a picture of her :) She sounds pretty.

Oh nice. That would be awesome. I would love to be able to get a kitty of my own. Though Eli is my kitty, and when I move out and if he's still alive (which I believe he will be) I'll take him with me. The family knows this and we've known this for years since he attached himself so much to me. He's so devoted to me, if I didn't take him when I moved out, he would be completely devastated, like how he is when I go away to school.

eh, he really didn't say much except that he was doing ok despite breaking up with her after finding out the lies and her cheating on him. Which I was having a hard time keeping myself from saying "say what you will, but don't you dare try to turn me against my sister. Something must have happened that you did or didn't do for her/to her that pushed her to do something like that"
I'll find out eventually. But she wasn't happy there from the stuff I know from her. If what he said was true, I won't be happy to know that about her because that is definitely not something I would consider her being capable of, but I would get over it because people make mistakes and she wasn't planning on staying with him in the end anyway. It wouldn't change the fact she did do that, but oh well. I know a girl who has been cheated on twice and broke her engagement with the guy twice, she forgave him... -.- and now they're moving in together in a few days and they're getting married in August.

ElysiumFate 03-05-2012 10:20 PM

http://i.imgur.com/Vecfgl.jpg There she is. I had to trick her into coming out by giving her food.

My cat just happens to like everyone who's nice to her, but I still think she likes me the most over everyone else because I'm the only one she comes to without having to be given food or being played with. I still do those things, but I don't have to to get her attention.

That's...really bad. The last story you mentioned. You really shouldn't be staying with someone who cheated on you, let alone marrying that person. Is she insane?

Yeah...I'd have to hear the reason for her cheating on him, and even then it'd still take me a little while to accept that she did it.

serena yuy 03-05-2012 10:49 PM

awww she's sooo cute :) I wish she would calm down and be a normal kitty like your kitty.

Yeah, Eli just comes out to me and will follow me everywhere. He spent the afternoon by my feet when I was in the dining room today.

mmhmm, I always thought the girl was crazy for that. But, oh well. It's her life.

Yeah, I'd have to hear what my sister's reason is for doing that if what her ex said is true. It'll take me a bit to get over it with her, but I won't throw her out on the street and never see her again. I'll just take me a little bit for me to accept that she did it and that she has moved on. She did admit to fucking stuff up though. She feels horrible for her leaving in the first place and ending what she had with her first boyfriend, she met up with him when she came home, hung out with him and after a bit admitted her feelings, he ignored her. So, she's depressed over that. hopefully we do see each other soon so I can help her a bit better than I can now.

----------

I has a job interview on the 16th ^^ It's at a fast food place. I gave in. I need a job, even if it's working at a Taco Place that's from Buffalo NY.

ElysiumFate 03-06-2012 12:55 AM

I know, she's so cute it's pathetic. >.> If she'd just sit on our laps she'd be wonderful.

My goal for the next cat I get myself is going to be a cat that's so loving it's laughable. I'd really like to have one of those cats who sits on your lap every time your butt hits a horizontal surface. ^.^

Everyone does stupid ass shit, and everyone needs somebody who'll stick by their side through that stupid ass shit. It's the reason I stayed with my sister through her pregnancy and didn't leave her. I mean, I really wish she hadn't gone down this road, but she's always stayed with me, so I'll always stay with her as long as she doesn't turn into Hitler.

Yeah, it sounds like your sis is going to have to deal with the bed she's made for herself for a little while. It'll get better for her so long as she deals with what's come of her actions.

Mhmm, I agree with you. I'm to the same point. Just gotta look at it as a stepping stone, I suppose.

serena yuy 03-06-2012 01:00 AM

Hopefully she does start being a good kitty soon ^^

Oh I love how my cat is. Even though he's not a lap cat unless he's sick. I still love how he loves to cuddle with me and he's always by me.

Yeah, I'll get over it and I won't leave her. We want to stay friends and she feels bad for being gone as long as she was and we want to be with each other in the capacity of sisters and torment our children and husbands. :P

Yeah ^^" I gave in. I need the job. I figure if I do good if I get the job, I can see about transferring to one out where my school is (unless I get something better while I'm at school)

ElysiumFate 03-06-2012 01:14 AM

Eh. She's six. The chances of her changing now are slim, but everyone wishes she would.

Basically, the only thing that makes a cat bad in my eyes is completely hating to be touched and held like my mom's. Obviously I wouldn't want a violent cat either, but that goes without saying.

*nods* You can't support her actions, but leaving never made anyone a better person.

You'll probably get a better one while you're at school, but just having past jobs on there helps a lot.

serena yuy 03-06-2012 01:44 AM

Yeah, I wouldn't like having a violent cat. :( I love having a loving kitty cat.

Yeah, if she did what he said, then it is in the past, nothing you can do to change it, only just move on and make sure not to make the mistakes again.

Yeah, I like how I have some experience which is helpful in some way, and then if I get the job, I'll have more experience to help get a better job later on :P

ElysiumFate 03-06-2012 03:51 AM

The only thing you can do is try to help her never do it again.

I'm trying to do all this homework, but I haven't the slightest where to start.

serena yuy 03-06-2012 03:58 AM

Yeah, which is where being around comes in handy

ahh I remember that one. I will be there again in the Fall. Going "oh crap, what the heck will I start writing"

ElysiumFate 03-06-2012 04:17 AM

I've just got so many different assignments. Something about this semester has gotten me stuck time and time again into the situation where everything is due on the same days. It's usually not this bad.
